Great review 😁 You are now my favorite RUclipsr to watch reviews 😃 (Boosted Media & SRG give a bit more info but are WAY too long) Urgently awaiting your full review of the Simgrade VX P pedals (from ur prev vid I jumped off a cliff & pre-ordered a set on your advice to get the discount 😌 I would like you to do reviews of the Simagic FX & FX Pro wheels 😇
With the key mapping pluging in simhub with the recently added special function key you can double the amount of rotary encoders and funkey switches. The funkey switch positions on this wheel would be the dealbreaker for me.
Got mine on the preorder, it’s my first ever wheel so I have nothing to compare it to but I love the shifters. Great advertising for Dennis I agree top guy.
good video. Yeah knowing I activate a button sometimes in same position of that funky on my wheel, that location is very bad and makes funky switch unusable. Maybe they could provide a shield for that funky switch. It would make it look a little bulky but probably easiest change to current design.
Funkys in that position at the top was "a good thing for me" though to not regret buying the F64 V3 just weeks (days?) before the MPX was announced. 😉 At the pre-order price I would have been tempted if I hadn't just bought the Ascher at about the same price (10% discount on Black Friday).
Hi Dan, would it be possible to also review the BAVARIAN SimTec Omega One ? Looks on similar level to GRID MPX and ASCHER wheels. OmegaOne seems also to have some nice concepts in their use and design ... Making the choice to pull the trigger on a new wheel soooooo much easier 🙂
@@DanSuzuki maybe give Kolya a ring ?? it will be a contender to the upcoming Ascher McLaren series ... you gonna need to plan your agenda, cause many new wheels from ADAC2022 comilng to the market now 🙂
damn...the srs promo is seriously good. So i don't need to give the magnets a chance since you already convinced them to change them lol. stickers are awsome. 3 things i miss from my simagic gt4 is 2 rear buttons, stickers (they already have signs on the buttons for no reason at all) and flashing led when i activate the pit limiter. i really like they still produce top quality non screen wheels. the screen trend is dumb imo and i hope they all keep making wheels like this. ps. GSI should really make a more affordable and smaller wheel. 310mm is just too big.
Looks like a good wheel if it was 1/3rd of the preorder price. The grips look comfy, the lights make it look good (pretty basic appearance without), design and functionality seem good on paper but have flaws, especially at this price point. Great in-depth review though, I feel like you touched on all the important topics. Nice work!
I saw this Wheel for the first time and I fell inlove. I wanted her in my life. "see's the price" Okay have a nice day. Jokes aside, got damn, this wheel is nice. But yea in the UK cheapest I could find was a used one for £850 or a new one for £958
I have so much respect for the guys making a living out of over priced gaming products, but I have to suggest, that this literally replaces a two levers that are buttons that change gears, and also some buttons that your keyboard can do, you can buy a rim for £60 plus delivered, even a cube control wheel for £80... which will turn the same DD wheelbase. For a really effective button box, you can use use a Stream Deck and have multiple pages, that each have screens that you can customise the display, rather than stickers, and for gears, get a really nice sequential or H pattern box starting at £30 and a USB adaptor onwards, loadsa choices out there, for any budget, which stays in place and you can use any wheelrim with... for push to talk strap a bluetooth remote device that works with a PC for £20. I literally only use push to talk during my iracing races. If you are advanced enough, can justify it or need the wheel go for it. Dan, I highly recommend you prepare a budget racing wheel / gears / buttons video like this, I think it would be VERY popular.
Hey Dan, nice review. I made a list with what you can use the encoders😅 I can only use 8. TC1, TC2, Brake Bias, Engine Mapping, Light switch (normal, endu, none), Wiper mode, in game dashboard, HUD Dashboard,
funky switch buttons is only position that can be, any other position and would be hard to navigate, and if you cross your hands suzuki and touch switches, well you are doing something wrong. Another think, otto buttons is awsome, and rottary side buttons.... with this buttons and funkys you can do 95%things what you need in the race without taking you hands off the wheel...
How can the magnets be a thing of the past? Are they going to recall the whole stock from all the sim racing shops and send them to china to replace the magnets? No,...they are going to sell all of it and the next batch will maybe(!) have stronger magnets. With sim racing gear being such niche products, chances are good you're getting a wheel with weak magnets.
What is a "fake steering wheel"? Technically speaking 🤓 all modern steering wheels have no analog input, i.e., shifters are electronic irl. I can't say I agree with the price, but the argument of it being fake steering wheel is unfair.
@@samuelye2860 I think he is referring to the fact that it isn't designed for use in a real life vehicles. Either way, the main complaint is the price here. No point in talking about the verbage used.

This is a $500 wheel that they thought they could sell for double. I'm shocked they want so much for a Chinese wheel. They must be making a fortune on these.
@@DanSuzuki how is this objectively better than any fanatec wheel at the same price point? You can't reasonably tell me a Cube Controls wheel with a screen is the same value as thing thing.
a screen is like 40€ - hold a fanatec wheel and the grid wheel in your hands then you know why. of course once you are in these enthusiast regions you start to get diminishing returns @@mattymatte6289
The v2 Version of this looks very promising. They addressed nearly all critic points Dan had
Oh yes, i have, had both. V2 only now. its way better than the original.

Have you already reviewed the Simedal X-GT? I think, you’ll love the magnets.
