I pre ordered my Neo back in December, it took some to get. I didn't even own a DD wheel base. Was using a Logitech Driving Force GT at the time. Come March I ordered the Simagic Alpha base, and been super happy ever since. It was a ridicules cheap price that sold me on the NEO and to go with Simagic over Fanatec
I recently got the Simagic GT Neo, swapped it out with a McLaren GT3 v2. I had to pay extra for the MagLink Cable + SRM Emulator so the final cost was over $400 but worth it in my humble opinion. The Fanatec is a good wheel for sure but the Neo is superior in design, functionality, material quality, customisation options but nost of all in use.
Im going with a simagic alpha and gt neo over the CS DD+ and Mclaren wheel for this reason. Both kits are the same price here, but the native support to the neo and the possibility it looks like simagic will be developing a usb passthrough shaft, i think it will be great in the end
It might sound crazy but let's throw it out there and see what answers I can get: I use to have the GSI FPE (the original) loved it so much comes with a nice screen the and whole shebang. I recently sold it. Asked GSI for their V2 it ended up after taxes and shipping to be around 2100$. Now I'm crazy about simracing but even me I cannot justify throwing 2k+ on a rim. So I'm torn should I get the GT neo? (Plastic fantastic) but the thing is I already have a plastic in the form of the Moza KS wheel. So I shifted interest to the Grid wheel, feels nice as per many who has tried it. priced in what I can say this would be a replacement to the GSI, only drawbacks are the shifters are quiet (I like them noisy) and the shifters are made out of steel! Rust alert maybe? What do you think I should get in my situation?
NB: in my situation as per costs GSI FPE V2: 2100$ all inclusive MPX V2: 1095$ shipped (still to add custom fees about 110$ can reach to 180$) GT Neo Bundle (+usb maglink): 488$ shipped needs custom fees around 60$ or 70$
I wasn’t crazy about the shifters at first, but now after using it for a while, I don’t mind them at all. If you have the money, I’d get the MPX. If you want to spend $2k+, get the GRID RSR. If you want to save the money, get the GT Neo. It’s not as good as the GRID, but it’s less than a third of the price. For the money, imo, there’s no other option out there other than the GT Neo. I literally bought the GT Neo because it’s so cheap. It’s a wheel I didn’t need but only bought it because it’s so cheap. Not everybody is in the position to buy extra wheels “just because” though.
Great video I just pre ordered the Grid MPX V2 for my Simagic wheelbase.
You're going to love it!
Good and straight to the point. Well Done Adam👍👍
Great video, straight to the point no yadda yadda, lots of useful info. Though driving in the background could've been better
🤣

The price of the NEO makes it a no brainer!
Where did you order it from?
I ordered the Neo from SimShop on Monday and it’s going to arrive tomorrow.
Yeah online shops are quicker usually when in stock. @dauntae24
@@dauntae24 It was the first wave pre order. And it wasn't until the end of Feb, when they were sent out
Good info. I love the gt neo, it's been serving me very well.
It's a great wheel for the money.
good video mate
Nice video mate! Subbed
The algorithm seems to be working today. I’m an old man who also sim races. 😂 Subbed.

Moza Gts vs Simagic Neo?
I personally would get the GT Neo. It’s $150 less and it’s a better wheel. I’ve heard mixed reviews on Moza wheels.
I just learnedthe simagic gt neo qr is compatible with moza :D
I may be wrong, but you’ll still need the MagLink, right?
@@OldManSimRacingI believe so yeah, but at least you don't need any adapters to fit in on the wheelbase if I have to believe reddit hahah
Fwiw Moza actually copied the QR system from Simagic that's why it's compatible. Was first released in 2018 before Moza appeared on the market.
I'm pretty sure Moza's qr copied from Simagic, 100% same but in black🤣
@@smokeybandit1020 @mplusklaus899 not really.
They are both using a NRG style quick release, which is used in real cars as well.
Nope. Rather Stick with my MOZA Racing!!
