I just got my 1UZ swapped 95 Nissan pickup running and driving after the project sat for 10 years. Do what makes you happy man. It will be worth it.
This is a cool build
I had one of these that was actually owned by a Buick engineer that chopped it into an El Camino style mini truck. It was so awesome and I loved it but sold it when I got stationed overseas. I wish I could find that same little Opel Kadett truck again.
Mine originally started as a wagon. I really like the way the fast backs look.

At that estimated final weight with the engine combos you build it will absolutely be a rocket in the quarter! Can’t wait!

This is awesome. I had a 68 Opel Kadet Rally Sports Cpe lonnng time ago. I was like 18-20 when I had it, 45+ yrs ago. Had dual carbs, modified driving lights between the headlights almost as big. Loved that car. Hit a jump too fast, straight up, straight down on the grill. Bounced twice & landed back on the wheels. Drove home in second gear cause the shifter shaft bent, along with the frame.
Looking forward to this so much. New Sub here too.
These are pretty popular in Europe. Should be a monster when its complete.

I had a 68 opal cadet Raleigh. Looked a lot like that, but of course yours is newer but I love that car and I always wanted it back so I could put up an l. S in it and make it fast. It was fast with a with a Porsche 944 motor in it.

It's a donk owner thing! They aren't too bright! I've had one at my shop since last June! Been waiting on parts ( him just to order them! ). He gets some, then I have to wait for more. It's a 73 vert with junk top, ripped and crap. I've been telling him he brought it, to get a car cover, so I can have it out of my way, waiting on him to get more parts. He just spent 800 on coil overs. NO CAR 100.00 car cover!
When I'm done with the labor I'm paid for, I'm hauling it back to his house! This is why customers suck!
Are you going to move the rear end backwards to extend the wheelbase for a more stable drag car? Sweet build
The wheelbase is the same as the RX7, so I might leave it alone. If anything I'd rather move the front forward a bit

K swap big turbo. Save some space and weight. K’s are like the LS of honda and 4 cyl. And turned up can make good jam on sbe like an LS.
If I had the money to put any engine in it, it would probably be a K
