- Disney's new film, Wish (2023), is PACKED full of easter eggs references to previous Disney films. Some of them are easy to spot and some are very well hidden. Here are 28 hidden Disney references I spotted on my first viewing of Wish. How many of these did you spot? And did you notice any which aren't on my list?

Im surprised i have yet to come across a video that mentions the grandfather turning 100. For Disneys' 100th birthday.

There is a scene where two people give their wishes to Magnifico because they have just moved to Rosas. Their names are Elena and Esteban, a reference to Elena of Avalor. Elena is the main character and Esteban is her cousin.
Just watched the movie loved it so much! One or my faves was Asha wearing the fairy godmother outfit from cinderella! Dw girl took me too long to figure out the seven dwars reference too hahha. I thought the doc inspired character actually looked like a mix of doc and snow white tbh. And the giant apple was 2 references in one , referencing the pumpkin carriage but the apple itself snow white. I feel like magnifico outfit and him opening the doors all dramatic reminded me of elsa in let it go. And all the icy blue everywhere too.
I just saw this movie today (LOVED IT!), and my mom noticed that Asha was wearing a Fairy Godmother outfit. I had already read somewhere that Dahlia was supposed to look like Doc, but when I just saw it, that one blonde guy who's Asha's friend looked like Dopey. And when King Magnifico was brewing a potion, I considered that a possible reference to the Evil Queen brewing the Old Hag potion, but then I noticed in the corner, a red apple with green stuff dripping from it, and that confirmed that it was an Evil Queen homage. And Asha's blue cloak looks just like Belle's dark blue hooded cloak. My mom and I were naming all the references that we could find in this. The floating wishes seemed like a reference to the "Inside Out" memories (memory orbs) or the Lanterns from "Tangled." And the giant green hands were definitely an Ursula stealing Ariel's voice reference.
I'm so so so happy that I found a video that pointed out all the Easter eggs instead of just talking about the movie! Thank you so much for doing this video!
If you even remember magnifico’s quoting in the lair towards the final battle, he referenced Disneyland with Peter Pan, Mary Poppins and an Ursula quote all in one go which was quite a surprise
When her grandfather and mother are in the boat and the wishes start coming out of the castle it’s very ‘I See the Light’!
I don’t think anyone has mentioned this yet, but do you remember the part of the movie where they’re singing “Knowing What We Know Now”. During the song, the Dopey lookalike of Asha’s friends lifts Valentino like Rafiki did with Simba in the Lion King.

The wanted posters are very Flynn from Rapunzel and the opening sequence with the chalk art reminds me of the Kingdom scene from Rapunzel.
I had to think of Rapunzel, too. Rosas looks similar to Corona, especially when they are on the boat
@@lulus8122Same. The first time I watched the scene where the Saba and Asha’s Mum were on the boat and they manage to free the wish spheres, they instantly reminded me of Tangled’s “I See The Light”
When the grandfather was shown holding the string instrument surrounded by chickens it reminded me of the rooster from Robin Hood. And the green magic creeping everywhere reminded me of maleficent and her thorny vines
An easy one you missed was during “Welcome to Rosas” there was the rocket ride from Lilo & Stitch.

In the song where magnificent and asha are singing you can spot tea cup that has a chip missing which is a reference to chip from beauty and the beast. Difficulty Extreme
Did you know that Asha becomes the first fairy godmother who eventually trains the fairy godmother from Cinderella?

The group singing chicken scene reminds me”be our guest” from beauty and the beast❤
At the end when "Sleepy" comes to apologize you can see bear paw prints in his clothes, that reminded me of Brother Bear :)
I think it’s rabbit foot prints because they attacked him and they were a little small for bears, but I had to think of it, too :D
she totally forgot to mention the reindeers with asha(lots of them when asha jumped on of them) when christophe in frozen had also lots of reindeers i realized it the instant I saw that scene
When Asha get the wand you can here one say blip another say booti and a third on say boo. Forming the classic Blipit boti boo the line from fairy godmother in Cinderella

I didn't realize the 7 Dwarves thing until I watched it a second time and was looking for references. You definitely need to watch this movie multiple times. While wearing the Fairy Godmother cloak she used a stick as a magic wand just like the Fairy Godmother, and at the end of the movie Star actually makes her a fairy godmother.
The blue wish balls reminded me of the memories from inside out...

I noticed the 7 dwarves when someone held „Sneezy‘s“ nose. I did notice Dopey‘s colour scheme before, but I didn’t put it together at first.
Been looking to see if anyone else mentions what I thought was a hunchback court of miracles reference?? When Asha and friends go down into the basement area in hiding to get their support to stop Magnifico and the queen joins in? The fabric on the walls and it being a dark underground place screamed hunchback to me! They even used the word “sanctuary” in the scene which I thought was another nod
Omg I love that! Hunchback is one of my faves so I wanted to look out for references on my second watch but this makes so much sense!
The wooden mugs behind Dalia all have the first letter of each dwarf/friend on them. And the grandfather does the “knock knock knock, knock on wood” like Bruno from encanto.
Something fun to know and I learned when looking up some of the references is that the star was made round because the first thing animators learn in school is how to make a bouncing ball 🥰

This isn't a Disney easter egg, but I appreciated this: Asha continues to call her grandpa "Saba", which is the Hebrew word used to address "grandpa", and when she greets the newcomers in the beginning of the movie, she adds in "shalom", which is a Hebrew greeting. I had learned Hebrew for a few years, so hearing these words used made my day when I watched the movie. :)

I loved this movie! Thanks for your video, I noticed a good chunk of these references but missed some too, most notably the Sorcerer's Apprentice ! That one seems so obvious how did I not realize it in the moment lol
I kind of did the opposite where I thought “haha the sorcerer’s apprentice, that’s funny it’s like Mickey”, thinking I’d had an original thought for a second before I realised that’s why they had done it 🤦🏻♀️

I saw also it’s pretty easy to find that one of Asha’s friends holds up Valentino like in the lion King, where the baboon holds up Simba
Mulan is referenced when Asha, her mom and saba sit at the dinner table and begin arguing,Asha defends Saba against the king, similar to when Mulan was arguing with his father at the dinner table complaining about why his father has to go to war, going against the emperor’s order.
During the scene with all of the hens, you can see the chicken from Moana in the background! It’s towards the beginning of the scene and if you blink, you’ll miss it.
Also at the end of the movie when Magnifico becomes trapped in the scepter it references the part of Princess and the frog when Dr. Facilier goes into his grave. Also when Magnifico and Asha are on the roof and he has his powers constraining her it looks a lot like Aladdin, as well as the whole “trying to take the scepter when everyone is captured and it looks like there is no possible way to win” vibe. Lastly my little sister noticed that when all the villagers are trapped with the odd vine things at the end and singing “this wish” and all their hearts/wishes start glowing their different colors it looks a lot like Trolls when they all get their colors back. While thats going on Asha also has Mulan moment when her hair is flying in the wind and shes singing on a ‘cliff’. Good video! I did not realize the 7 dwarves reference and felt so dumb😭😭

The Seven Dwarfs reference I got right away with just their clothing and mannerisms.
One other thing I did notice the second time around watching the movie was the green, gnarled hands that began to show up with Magnifico. They look almost exactly like Ursula's foggy, gnarled hands in the Little Mermaid!
I saw this movie with my friend yesterday and i heard so many references, i was like "ummm nice..WAIT A MINUTE"

Baby birds hatch from eggs during one of the songs, I think “I’m a star,” and they’re glowing in the same colors as the three caballeros! Seems like a reference!

I read that the Grandfather was actually writing the song, When you wish upon a star, which would be his wish to do something that would influence people. I didn't get the 7 dwarfs at all, until I saw a video about it, so embarrassing!
I enjoyed so much this movie 😊 It was a pretty and magical film. Don't make ears to the bad critics, they're just stupid who don't know to enjoy 🙄
Don't forget the green magic hands that Magnifico does!! It's an easter egg from Ursula's spell to take Ariel's voice!! ❤
Noticed the 7 dwarfs as soon as there was a good close up of dopey. He looks the closest to the actual dwarf.
