There is something incredibly comforting seeing your get ups...I feel like I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland, it’s beyond disconcerting to live in such an altered reality ( I understand what is driving all the changes), it doesn’t mean it’s any less a jolt to our whole being. I suspect you may not know just how much seeing your “get ups” provides so much comfort as a gentle reminder, we are slowly inching back to our old lives, and being able to do and see the people we love. Thank you so so much for sharing these snipits of your life, especially now. You’ve been in my thoughts since you told us about the situation with your Father, I went through something sort of similar, my heart broke for you when you told the story. Hotels in these times are very confusing to me....what they can and cannot do as far as service varies hotel to hotel! Almost seems like Covid is an excuse to not have to work as hard? I am loving that you are vloging the back to normal videos. Some of the concerns about the covid rules do not make sene. My husband and I have stayed at a few hotels at this time and each have different rules.

Wear a disposable mask when you wear makeup.... then toss it....May be a small thing but wearing makeup lipstick etc makes things seem a little normal and you feel better...

I liked the first season, especially the last episode but am only half way through the second season and am giving up on it. ok cutie pie, I have been following you for a while, but let me give you just some insight on the hotel world from a former housekeeper.. yes we all start somewhere.. now some hotels assign rooms to certain individuals and some don't assign until you arrive; so they pick from a pool of rooms already cleaned.. just remember 3pm is kind of a benchmark and its never a guarantee! now sure if you are a VIP or Bill Gates sure, we might have your room ready, but lets be honest they probably put his room out of order from the night before so there wouldn't be any problems on the day he arrives... What if your room wasn't vacant till 230pm because of the previous guest staying over? you probably won't get your room at three, just saying.. I think people think like no one was in the room before hand and it just magically like is cleaned or something...I have gotten a board of rooms before with 6 rooms with checkouts passed 1pm; because of their status with the hotel brand; and they never leave on time.. and you expect to be in the room at 3pm... someone coming in isn't going to get a room on time, because it takes at least 30 min to revamp and clean your room.. it will be absolutely impossible..and what if the hotel is sold out? that is whole other ball game; you might get someone wanting to stay another night, well you will be staying in another hotel on us (in most cases)..we won't bump the previous guest out of the room.. you worrying about a 4pm check-in.. my god lady.. I know you said it wasn't a big deal.. and the diet coke and the waters.. oh lord jesus.. I think the mini bars are probably closed for sanitary reasons because no one has time to clean all that product from guest to guest..and usually I agree with you, you get waters when you arrive of they are in the room, but then again some things have changed about what we can "exchange" with a guest.. I know you have a certain lifestyle but the hotel rife in the beginning I kind of laughed.. because you have no idea what it takes to turn a hotel over from day to day....and that housekeeper probably has 12-20 vacant rooms.. so breathe. I wish more of the world knew what goes on behind the scenes.. blame the previous guests on your late check in.. because 9 times out of 10 its them leaving late.. yes it could be an very poorly time-managed housekeeper.. but i doubt it..but then again I think the boards they are given in the beginning of the shift are almost impossible to complete perfectly.. because its probably 10-12 hours of work instead of 8..and I think most guests think oh how hard is it to clean the bathroom and remake the bed... LOL oh god.. you might spend 10 minutes just picking up what they left behind..I have found people are absolutely disgusting and have zero manners..
