You were so lucky to have that time with him at the end. It breaks my heart how many of our seniors passed alone during COVID mostly due to the stupidity of politicians who aren’t medical professionals. I’m so into the black and gold right now. Just bought a whole capsule wardrobe from St John knits in those colors. It’s so funny you wanted a beach house. We just bought a condo on the beach during COVID. We were so tired of our house and wanted a change of scenery. Just having the fun of decorating somewhere new was such a total lift to my mood.

Yay!! So happy for you. I had a parent succumb to Alzheimer’s in June and her demise was exactly like your Dad’s. After that, I decided that I am going to live life to its fullest and do some of the things that I had been putting off, such as getting my antiques appraiser certification. You and the family will be creating some great memories in your new Hamptons vacay home. We are looking in Florida for our vacation nest and hopefully will have something by late spring/summer. Glad you’re back, healthy and living life❤️

So happy to see you! As on only child with an elderly parent with severe dimentia, my heart goes to to you and your siblings. Meantime, such a good move to get a holiday home. I did the same thing and 'planned' a minimal refurb which became rather ambitious but I don't regret my bolthole by the sea in Scotland and I think you and your family are going to love it - specially now. The flowers are little gems. I particularly liked the tulips. Such a pop of spring. That pasta dish has been on my radar too though I don't watch tik Tok and perhaps I'll give it a go! And yes please - more catch up with your handbags or Chanel buys or anything. Love it!

So awesome to see your beautiful smiling face again! You have been missed that is for sure. Loosing a parent is incredibly difficult and even more so I believe when the parent looses much of their capabilities towards the end of life. I cared for my Dad for a year and a bit. He lived with me prior to a double lung transplant and I was his primary care giver, then post transplant through rehab etc. I will never forget him crying one morning and I said Dad what’s the matter, and he said “well it’s a pretty bad state of affairs when your daughter has to brush your teeth and help you bathe”...that sums up aptly I think the deeply emotional journey we go through for both parties, the child and the parent both in adapting to these new reversed roles. I am so glad to hear that your Father was someplace where you could be with him at end of life, that is truly amazing. A new house! Wow, that surely is exciting! Sounds like there is lots to look forward to and that is something I think we can all agree is very needed after last year. I’d love to see your covid Chanel Collection...that would be fun! I felt the same way when we bought our villa in Kiawah. I love going there! I actually took some of your King Street shopping advice and went to Hampden and Finicky Filly. Bought some great stuff on my last trip. Also discovered an artisan chocolate shop around the corner from M. Dumas. I think it's called Christopher's. The owner is from Paris...of course. Loosing a parent is incredibly difficult and even more so I believe when the parent looses much of their capabilities towards the end of life. I cared for my Dad for a year and a bit. He lived with me prior to a double lung transplant and I was his primary care giver, then post transplant through rehab etc. I will never forget him crying one morning and I said Dad what’s the matter, and he said “well it’s a pretty bad state of affairs when your daughter has to brush your teeth and help you bathe”...that sums up aptly I think the deeply emotional journey we go through for both parties, the child and the parent both in adapting to these new reversed roles. I am so glad to hear that your Father was someplace where you could be with him at end of life, that is truly amazing.
A new house! Wow, that surely is exciting! Sounds like there is lots to look forward to and that is something I think we can all agree is very needed after last year.

He was the most special person and I feel so lucky to be his daughter. I get the feeling you feel the same about you father. CONGRATS on your new house in the Hamptons. I felt the same way when we bought our villa in Kiawah. I love going there! I actually took some of your King Street shopping advice and went to Hampden and Finicky Filly. Bought some great stuff on my last trip. Also discovered an artisan chocolate shop around the corner from M. Dumas. I think it's called Christopher's. The owner is from Paris...of course. I was so excited to see you uploaded a video. I’m so so sorry about the loss of your father. My family and I lost my grandfather the same way, due to dementia. We watched the life leave his body.
