It is amazing how you can picture the shapes for the front end in your head. Lots of people can do bodywork, but very few can create something totally abstract and have it looking so balanced and right. Thank you for showing us this Tony.
I never tire of your videos. Your fab & concept skills and are truly amazing. your panels look almost like factory made when you're done . I bet the body guys love following your metal work
Love your Channel fitzy and thank your for sharing all your knowledge that takes decades to master and skills I’m new to fabrication but your videos have inspired me to learn and your channel has helped me a lot I’m building a 63 chevyII and there’s a few pieces I’ve had to fabricate because you can’t buy patch small patch pieces and I can’t bring myself to do a whole rear quarter panel when my cars is good and just needs a small patch welded in anyway I’ve done it and it looks great and you can’t even tell I’ve repaired it thanks to your sharing and knowledge so I really appreciate your videos thank you sir I’m continuing to follow and watch because I will be doing more in only 50 so I plan on a few more cars still.😊❤❤
Hello Fitzee. Wonderful content as usual, thank you. Most of us that have followed you from the start know about the "cut and butt" technique you regularly mention. We have watched your early videos that explain the details and when/why you do it. Same for your spot welding, let it cool technique for distortion control. But new people often don't know these things. Perhaps a playlist covering this absolute basics required for all your work would be a good idea? I see you have a playlist of some fairly basic bits, but im thinking REALLY basic, cut and butt, distortion control and possibly cutting and grinding for absolute beginners. We all have to start at the beginning and your early videos are THE place to start. You covered all that stuff at the beginning. As you've obviously figured out the old hands don't want repeats, that's fine and to be expected, but the knew people would definitely benefit from watching your old videos, i know i certainly did. You don't need new videos, just a collection of appropriate old ones grouped together and then mention the playlist occasionally to encourage viewing, otherwise people don't know they are there? Definitely helps new people and might also benefit you with subscriber numbers and views? Thank you for sharing, its definitely appreciated. Cheers, Russell.
Tony...holy smokes...every thing you do is counter intuitive to my way of thinking. been in and around the business for nearly 70 years; and learn stuff on everyone of your videos. the mrs and i really appreciate the ride. please keep up all the Hard Work and Great Content. sub'd, always like, and occasionally comment, have watched every vid. from the start of your channels (many more than once!). very best to you, Wendy...and your families and friends. walt + mrs.
Another cool video Tony, I can’t wait to see what this car looks like when it’s done, hopefully you’ll get it back for a video once the paint is complete
Don't know who started that car but they sure created a ton of extra work for you to do just to get it right, that's some great work Tony, they should have brought it to you first
Looking mighty fine for the 49 Tony, great job on the nose panel. An idea that you might find useful as an upgrade to your ceiling dust collector/ air cleaner.. Install a louver to displace the heat and direct it more towards the floor. I would make a louver out of cardboard first to see how it works, then go from there.
Hi! When the welding gap is closing because of the plug welds, beat the plug welds with a hammer and a dolly and it will open again. Or keep a larger gap on the opposite side of plug welding which will close due to heat shrinking. Love your works!
You certainly aren’t afraid of hard work Fitzee and your vision is beyond me ! I look at that and think boy I wouldn’t know where to start lol nice work fella amazing to watch it come together 👍
Hey Tony, nice job on the front of that thing. I had to chuckle when the darn tacks shrink the gap and cause fit issues. I use the utility knife or thin putty knife to open them up. I've learned so much over the last couple years. Thank You!!😊
Back in "the day" there were a few of these in my town, dual split exhaust on a 6 , '55 chevy headlight treatment, lowered , Caddy hubcaps or spinners.. t will be great to see this finished...it's a beauty. 8^)
I love your bending brake as well. I made them too over the years but smaller and not nearly as good as yours. Way to go. I like the speed you work with metal. When I was young you had to be good; but you more importantly had to be fast or you were gone. Many a good metalsmith would be fired for not getting jobs done fast. Any perfectionist had to recover from it and move fast. Once you got fast and kept your job you would figure out finer perfection on the next jobs. I never turned out anything sloppy back in the day but many jobs I would have loved to put in about two more hours to make perfect. To survive you had to watch the clock and keep track where you were at for completion at all times. I learned a lot from others, you had to be smart and you had to adapt to any way you could to speed up. I like how you are smart and finding easy ways to be quicker and easier. You would have been a survivor back in my days. You have a good head and good reasoning and your car is looking cool.
Awesome job Fitzee. You were definitely blessed with lots of skills talents and patience . Admire your thoughtful and creative thoughts. Well done and always a pleasure watching you and make it looks so easy.Keep safe and greetings from South Africa.
The ips are great. That surround is a piece of art. It finishes off the hood perfectly. By the way, that fan with the filters is a great idea. Just think of all the dust that is not going to be in your lungs.
Great job as always. Side note, watched your filter build, amazing how well it works. Last year I was going to build one, never got around to it. Now seeing how well it captures the dirt, I guess it's time. Thanks.
As I've said before about his channel: It's such a pleasure watching you working on something you know how to do and do it well -- unlike some of those clowns on other RUclips channel who come out all enthusiastic saying [for example] "Let me show you how to set the timing on these muffler bearings. I've never done this before so bear with me." Yeah, right.
Great video as always and excellent inspiring work, I love your thought process as your going along been following for a long time, always appreciate you sharing your knowledge
One thing! I just don't get Tony, is why your Channel doesn't have a lot more views than what it does. I guess it's one of those enigmas in life. The front end of this car is looking one hell of a lot better than it was that's for dern sure, Tony, it should look awesome once you get that bumper and front grill aligned. After she''s slammed it should look totally amazing!
Hey FITZEE ! You ain't lying bout some warpage , I'm still hard bout tht on myself, anyway thts wht mud is for. You have a Ton of experience with the knowledge to back up any situation or issues tht come bout an tht why your the MASTER ! I do have 1 question wht video is the one where welding a corner or something like that,i run into warpage at these points even with cool down in between. Thx for your knowledge oh an Keep Em Coming !
Absolutely wonderful work I've been looking at the front of that car wondering what you were going to do. Great job!!!! I was wondering if you could do a short video on drilling out metal I seem to be burning up drill bits left and right. There doesn't seem to be any good videos on the subject that I have found any advise on the subject would be great. Have a great day and we will see you on the next one.
Love your work Fitzee I'm and old timer.Used to do body work in the seventy good old days when cars were made with steel. Anyway I was thinking this is a custom job but what you did was tie both fenders together. So if they need to be removed you will have remove both at the same time. Is this intentional.
In earlier video when I did the door to fender gaps you see thr fenders are molded into both the rocker and cowl. The front on this will be all one peice when I'm done. Inner fenders and all
I don't like to dolly mig welds. It's a hard weld and tends to Crack if it is worked too much. I spend alot of time on fitment and keeping the heat down in the metal. I like to grind welds to finsh
It is amazing how you can picture the shapes for the front end in your head. Lots of people can do bodywork, but very few can create something totally abstract and have it looking so balanced and right. Thank you for showing us this Tony.
Yeah, he said it. Amazing visualisation by Fitzee.
Another masterful effort. Great great great work, Tony. You are a national treasure!
That air filtering system works great! Gotta hand it to ya Tony, amazing work. 😊
I never tire of your videos. Your fab & concept skills and are truly amazing. your panels look almost like factory made when you're done . I bet the body guys love following your metal work
I've never really liked the OEM mustache grills. But, your rendition is amazing! Really like what you are doing there Tony.
Fitz', Oh No a template?!? love the "cut'n'butt, your pipe anvil, etc. and the way you utilize your equipment. w.
Turned out it wasn't really necessary anyway 😂
Love your Channel fitzy and thank your for sharing all your knowledge that takes decades to master and skills I’m new to fabrication but your videos have inspired me to learn and your channel has helped me a lot I’m building a 63 chevyII and there’s a few pieces I’ve had to fabricate because you can’t buy patch small patch pieces and I can’t bring myself to do a whole rear quarter panel when my cars is good and just needs a small patch welded in anyway I’ve done it and it looks great and you can’t even tell I’ve repaired it thanks to your sharing and knowledge so I really appreciate your videos thank you sir I’m continuing to follow and watch because I will be doing more in only 50 so I plan on a few more cars still.😊❤❤
As always, fascinated by watching your thought process turn into a work of art. Sorry to see you have to use a cardboard template that had to hurt 😂❤
Simple tools maybe but only years of experience and a creative mind can produce results like that!

That is a real good suggestion
Great idea. There is a few I done and I should put them in a play list. Thanks
I looks fabulous! I love your cat cameos in the end!

Man Chip Foose has nothing on you awesome job
Hey Tony, thanks for another good one, it's looking good!
Also hello Peanut 🙂
👍💪✌

Cracking job. Let’s hope the owner appreciates your efforts.
What a transformation your doing to that car. Absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing tony
You certainly aren’t afraid of hard work Fitzee and your vision is beyond me ! I look at that and think boy I wouldn’t know where to start lol nice work fella amazing to watch it come together 👍
Wonderful fitment! love the precision... Thanks Tony😁
Came out excellent, super clean and looks like factory hot rod!
Hey Tony, nice job on the front of that thing. I had to chuckle when the darn tacks shrink the gap and cause fit issues. I use the utility knife or thin putty knife to open them up. I've learned so much over the last couple years. Thank You!!😊
Hey! That front piece turned out real nice.
Looking good Fitzee, look foreward to the next one. Well done!
Back in "the day" there were a few of these in my town, dual split exhaust on a 6 , '55 chevy headlight treatment, lowered , Caddy hubcaps or spinners.. t will be great to see this finished...it's a beauty. 8^)
Work of art Fitz reminds of the first car I had '49 Rolls Canardle was a convertable, the hoods turned upside made a great Taubogen no brakes thou
Template really still a great fitment on this looking forward to seeing you're next video on this thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍

I worked in the trade for 30 years. It's where my skill were honed. Speed made money. First you got fast. Then you got good!
I have learned a lot watching you videos. Thank! All hail the algorithm!
It certainly going to be a nice rig ,thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Outstanding work of art!
Very nice work,Tony!

Looks incredible
Sorry I have been away hope you and family are doing well props from Memphis Tennessee
Amazing work as usual!
2 templates in 1 video!!👍👌
I was surprised how that panel changed the look of the whole front end. You keep building and I’ll keep watching and learning. Thanks
Great job as always. Side note, watched your filter build, amazing how well it works. Last year I was going to build one, never got around to it. Now seeing how well it captures the dirt, I guess it's time. Thanks.
just so cool the way it is starting to flow together not as if it was tacked on
You make it looks so easy! Witch makes one dare to try it too :D . Thanks for the inspiration Fitzee!
Yet again, an amazing outcome. Inspiring me to get in the garage and back to work.
Even Picasso would admire your work.
Well done, It looks right. Thanks for sharing
Hand crafted. Nothing better.
As I've said before about his channel: It's such a pleasure watching you working on something you know how to do and do it well -- unlike some of those clowns on other RUclips channel who come out all enthusiastic saying [for example] "Let me show you how to set the timing on these muffler bearings. More great tips really like the inside edge with the curve in it. 👍👍
Great video as always and excellent inspiring work, I love your thought process as your going along been following for a long time, always appreciate you sharing your knowledge
…as it turned out … the tips were good 👍
Hey Tony!
The tips are good, the nuance is great.
And the fellowship isn't too shabby either.
Thanks
That turned out nice tony!
That looks really good.
Looking forward to seeing the grille on there.
Looks good Tony. Amazing how many small pieces it takes to make one big section.
Love your videos can’t wait till I get my garage built this year so I can get back at it.
Nice job Tony!

Hugely motivational .. my Landcruiser lives because of the knowledge you share .. thanks Tony!
Great work Tony
I think it's great that you use lineman pliers to form your edges. I do the same thing
Absolutely amazing Tony. Bloody amazing
You're no body man. You're a frick'n artist!!!!
Glad to see you got a new stash of your favorite grinding pads.
Not same ones. Was hoping they be close less than half the cost. They are OK but still not as good as the Norton brand
Looking good. I would have never came up with that concept. The tips were good as always
Really looks great Tony Very Nice
You make it look so easy thanks.
Looks like you need to clean the filters on that box you installed recently. Seems like it's working well and doing what you designed it for.
I love your accent, it’s very close to Minnesotan but there’s just a few words and phrases that let’s a guy know you’re farther north 😂
Amazing work as always!
Great job! The old hood was hideous compared to the old one.
Coming along nicely Fitzee 👍
fantastic work !!!
nice work. you make it looks so easy.

Nice work Tony, I couldn't have done better myself. (ha-ha, just having fun). You sir are an artist. Take care my friend. 👍

Best advice is to start with a 1/8 bit
Looks awesome. I love your videos. You make it look sooooo easy. But that IS a lot of work. One piece front though huh?
Tips were better than good. Great Tips!
Thank you. It looks great.
😭Fitzee's making templates😂
Great videos💯
Very nice. Simple hey? You sure make it look that way lol
You are pleased with it and well you should be that is some beautiful fabrication work, in some ways it's a pity all your work will be hidden by paint
Hi Peanut i love the cats. Starvin Marvin BARRIE🥑
Great work, as always
Looks Great. Nice Work.

Fitzee... the Tips were Great!
“… one if those times, a cardboard template …” That’s it, I’ve now lived long enough to have seen it all!
Love your work Fitzee I'm and old timer.Used to do body work in the seventy good old days when cars were made with steel. Fitzee!🎉🎉🎉
Great job..❤
awesome look
Really looks good.
That looks great. Would you have to dolly any of your work to get the surface smooth, or would your wellds crank?
I don't like to dolly mig welds. It's a hard weld and tends to Crack if it is worked too much. I spend alot of time on fitment and keeping the heat down in the metal. I like to grind welds to finsh
I've watched you from the start and enjoy all the great content! But did I miss something? So the fenders are not removable?
No it's a full custom. If you watched the door seam videos you would of seen me working the tops of the fenders to the cowl
I've gotta do a bit of lead filler just gunna wing er, w8sh me luck!;)
