I have been a fan of Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses for 30 years. I’ve owned several pairs over the years and my current pair I keep reserved in the “taco holder” to the right of my driver side sun visor. They are a timeless, classic look and you, Brian, look great wearing them. One caveat: don’t wear them indoors. It makes any guy look like a douche. Great content as always. Love your videos! And, by the way, your trip to the bookstore raised my estimation of you to another level.
The way I see it they are a hands free camera that’s easy to put on. Price wise they don’t cost much more than regular Ray Bans. Privacy wise, sure you could be a dick, but if you look at compact action cams, like the Insta 360 Go 2, you could put one on your collar and nobody would notice them either. As far as wearable AI gadgets go this is probably one of the better ones.
These things are one of the best travel item I’ve used. That being said if you don’t have the transition lenses the use case falls apart because they don’t do you any good as sunglasses indoors. They’re excellent headphones, it’s indispensable to take quick snapshots with a button press of meals, places, spontaneous shots. Not pulling out your phone constantly is huge. These have become my snapshot camera, my iPhone is my DSLR. Oh did I mention you have full time multimodal AI to ask any question in the world to? Worst case scenario when the battery dies you’re still wearing great sunglasses. Next generation of these will be crazy and when Apple makes their own version this space will get even crazier.
I don't disagree with any of this. I would like them a lot more with transition lenses, but that makes the value proposition even more complicated. As an early generation piece of tech, they are undoubtedly cool.
Pleasantly surprised this video was truly about the battle of conscience. And that yours is still at a healthy human level 👍. I'd return them. 1. The tech is still too limited in aspect, resolution, and time limit. 2. It will lower your standard of storytelling.
I don't have electric Ray-Bans, but I collect the regular Ray-Ban P's. Some people collect expensive shoes, purses, etc. I collect Ray-Bans. I love them. However, I hate Meta with everything in me, so those are a big no for me. I really wish they allowed people to post images on here...
Only vertical. The video quality really isn't bad. It's just limiting. There is some value in limitation, but there are several situations where I would like to be able to shoot in landscape.
Hello there. I'm still here. Honestly, I'm figuring out how to get going again. There were only so many ways I could say that fast food is a rip-off now, so I pivoted to local spots. As you know. But then I got a little busy with a project for the local Scout council, and started making video (for money) with my real estate office. Then I just found myself in a situation where I kept putting it off because I lost momentum. I had a whole video put together for Brother's Cheesesteaks, and had to scrap it. I'll use this comment to motivate myself.
brian got so tired of reviewing taco bell that he switched to tech reviews. i love every second of it.
Welcome back. Giggled at the bit where you mentioned 'people talking to themselves with sunglasses on.' - Every RUclips Creator ever.
Welcome back, Brian! The looks that thing gets in WinCo is hilarious
I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Missed your vids man and I'm liking the new office. Maybe It'd be less wierd to film review a cat cafe with those glasses if you’ve got any out there.
they're great for recording cops without getting slammed to the pavement for having a phone out visibly recording

Give that floor machine a "Kick Me" sign.
I absolutely love these longer form videos. Not a fan of the Meta connection but they are cooler looking than the Google Glass!
That they are. They actually look fantastic.
Thanks for giving away my toilet spot
Sorry, man.
