- I know I have mentioned this a lot in the past, but I need to talk about this new burrito.
Taco Bell has always been a place for people to get garbage. But that garbage had always been inexpensive and delicious. But now that they have introduced a burrito that would have been $3 just a year ago, what is left?
The Cantina Chicken Menu is an affront to everything that Taco Bell fans have loved about them for years. And the only thing we can do is move on without them. Or maybe it's not really all that serious, and people should do what they want to do. Either way, thanks for watching.

Taco Bell has lost all aspects of what made them popular over the years. Vote with your wallet people. Dont buy their overpriced things. That's what enables these companies to keep increasing prices.
A taco bell taco is now more expensive than a taco from Chipotle where I live.
At this exact Taco Bell, there is a Chipotle right next to it. The tacos are three for $9 at Chipotle, and $3.29 apiece at Taco Bell. It's wild.
@@brianmarkgriffinyeah I’m in nyc with tons of great options chipotle everywhere. Dude I can even go to a sit down Mexican spot and pay the same price for tacos..my thought is they are trying it out to see if people would be willing to pay.. I’m not strapped for cash but when it comes to the bell I expect cheap prices. It ain’t exactly high quality lol
Glad that you mentioned inflation is across the globe. And from rents to meat, there is price gouging going on.
My rent went up from $850 to $1100 at the beginning of last year. Had to beg for more hours at my second job to cover the difference. Went from working 60 hours a week to around 70-75 so slowly but surely I'm feeling more and more like a slave. I'm 28 and when my dad was my age he was doing fine at 40 hours a week as a school janitor and we were always financially stable. I'm also a school janitor and make $4 more per hour than he did and if I only worked that job I'd be homeless right now. I was basically forced to pick up a second job at a Burger King and that always me to be financially stable but even then I have almost no savings and the only things I splurge on are internet and $30 a month for my phone.
My dad could take my brother and I out to eat at steakhouses, buffets, and restaurants but the only restaurant I've ate at in the past 3 years has been Burger King during my free lunches on my break.
Thanks for your truth telling. Our TB only offers the Cantina Chicken on their Bowls menu -- what's up with that??!
That bowl is insane. This Taco Bell has a Chipotle in the same parking lot. I could literally hit it with a rock. Those new tacos are the same price as the tacos at Chipotle, and the bowl is only off by a dollar.
@@brianmarkgriffin TB's bowls are actually pretty good, but if they're comparing themselves to Chipotle they're delusional. I don't like forcing the consumer's hand by taking all choices away other than the Cantina Chicken -- that's just bad marketing.
In Canada a single soft taco at taco bell is $3.60 ($2.66usd) 😂😂

I couldn't have said it better. I bought one the other day to try it. While it is delicious, I can get a huge burrito from a local family running their own restaurant for less. Heck, even getting the double beef burrito is an astronomically better deal. What we have here is purely marketing and it is NOT worth it.
I agree completely. I really like what I have tried on the new menu, but it's completely out of control.
There is a McDonald's near me that charges a bit over $13 for a Big Mac combo and about a block away from them there is a drive-in that's been around since the 1960's and is family owned to this day that has a cheeseburger combo with all the fixings for around $6.50.

Inflation is real. But it's not 300% real. This is something different.

Countries like the US and others influence the price based on their economy worldwide, so the United States reaching a 40 year high immediately affects global trade and or (inflation). There is always some sort of inflation, worldwide, regardless of country. But the current administration which led to the huge increase in food prices, gasoline prices, the housing market, and the list goes on. It’s funny. The Democrats said that all these things were gonna happen if Trump was elected, but it was the complete opposite. Biden is a complete joke. He can’t even form a sentence. He sniffs kids. He’s nothing but a puppet for the elite controlling his every move.
Said the same thing. The cantina menu is the ultimate representation of Taco Bell expoiting the rearranging of ingredients. Charging you 2 to 5 more dollars for a sauce packet & spruced up chicken is crazy, just get the non cantina version, it's the same sht.
Never round up for cabbage. Taco bell did that here. Cabbage costs $.69/lb where i work so for this increase there should be like 5 lbs of cabbage in it.

Honestly the best thing ive eaten at Taco Bell was the volcano taco and burrito. That sauce is addicting.
Work at a plant that is making the Baja Breeze Gelato that is set to release later this year nationwide at Taco Bell. 2.7 million cups! 65 ounce cup for almost $4 it will be sold for! And I guarantee it will sell out. Crazy!

Another channel said that YUM brands is basically failing at all other food ventures and Taco Bell is the best performing of the segment and now the c-suite is squeezing the Taco Bell customer for more profits.
You are very smart & funny! We broke up with Taco Bell once we were done with college & our niece worked there & told us the beef was a powder they added hot water to. I’m guessing that’s probably still true-ick.
I think all fast food is price gouging (& blaming it on wages)…and will continue doing so until they can’t.
But the chicken is different…. They had/have a beefy burrito that I think was 2 bucks and they also had a grilled burrito and the only difference was one was grilled and one wasn’t. Oh and the fact that it’s 2 dollars more. Same with the quesadillas. I always get the breakfast one and add steak to it and it’s cheaper than a steak quesadilla and basically a buck 50 ish difference plus extra protein from the egg. They also slightly raised say the chicken enchilada and the bean and rice burrito a bit. Cause I do the same thing add beef or steak to the bean and rice and it’s basically the same as other burritos but cheaper. Lol I was checking the add on prices and you have to pay .45 cents to add the cabbage. I don’t even like cabbage much other than its filler. Taco Bell doesn’t care all these places don’t. They just want that bottom line for them and to have higher stock prices. And don’t get me started on wages. My mom worked as a waitress for hardly anything and made it up in tips. So it’s the employer saying I won’t pay you much but the customers that pay for everything else will tip you to make your pay better. Oh and you have to split those tips for the the staff who are getting fuller paychecks. Ok ok I’ll stop…

People will always shill for Taco Bell. Much like other shillers, I cringe. Taco Bell is no longer in our repertoire which is awesome. There is a del taco across the street and 6 chicken tacos and 6 bean cheese burritos cost 15.49. That same meal at taco bell would cost over 30 dollars

Just go to Taco Bell and order one taco or bean burrito and ask for it to go. Then go straight to the sauces and grab like 4-5 handfuls of them and you'll never need to buy taco sauce ever again.

McDonald’s basic hamburger now costs over 2 dollars, that’s bun, tiny patty, ketchup pickle and onion… I used to always get a couple to tide the kids over after practice, went the other day just for old time sake ordered a couple and it was almost 6 dollars. Was cheaper to get two Mc doubles. Nothing makes sense anymore.
Given the current climate, I don't like that, but I can see it. That's also artificial inflation. But the price of this thing is hilarious.

While that is absolutely true, there isn't any reasonable justification for this thing being priced the way that it is. The free item would have to be another burrito.
