But my superwinch 12,000 lb single line pulled it also a couple times . Love watching you work with your son dragging old cars home or working on them . Keep it. Up

    America needs more fathers like Brad. A decorated retired Marine A real deal American badass. Positive role model esp for his son. "Get em off the Xbox & into the garage". I love that!!! Doing what he absolutely loves doing with his life; yanking all the old cars he can find & afford out the woods. Super awesome!! Brad you rock brotha keep up the good work I look forward to whatever you can save next. Honestly cant stop thi king about that green 69 GTX 440 4 speed Dana car ya found. When you need pulled the tarp & said "she bad I can tell already" then you opened the door & seem that stick shift in there & how in awe you were realizing you were sitting in one of the baddest ass Plymouth muscle cars built. First thing I noticed was the complete lack of wear on the pedals- a low mileage beast fo sho! "Only thing make it better would be disc brakes & Hemi" to quote Mr. Chris Birdsong. What happened with that car isit still there or ?. Anyway I live in western Washin gton state & the environment is very harsh on old cars setting out for years & years over here too so find em & save em while they still can be saved guys! Props to Dezzy Junkerup & the Hotrod Hoarder as well. Peace yall.

      Speaking of old cars rotting this is sad but true. In the winter of 98 I was cruising a random alley in Bremerton Wa & spotted a blue 67 GTO in a backyard. Parked directly behind it was a dark green 68 GTO. It is now 2021 & they are STILL THERE. I attempted to contact the owner & got yelled at run off the property. Those goats were probably parked there in the 70s or early 80s been there ever since. Makes me I'll just thinking about them cuz even tho I'm a total Mopar geek my second favorite muscle car is a GTO of any year. I got a feeling one might even be a real Ram Air car too (the 68) Never even could get close enough to tell for sure. A waste of two sick ass rides k guess it's one of those situations where so.eone has to die first before they can be saved. Sometimes we gotta be patient...

      You should consider getting that 65 fastback on the road if it can be done. Leave it all ratty just like ya found it. As you are well aware 65 fastbacks aren't chump change nowadays either... esp one came with a 289 4bbl auto... just my thoughts on that car...

    Hey Brad thanks for responding that's awesome! I been following your vids for about a year now look forward to each & every one. My first car at age 15 didn't even have my license yet was a beat to hell 68 charger r/t 440 auto console shift b7 blue white vinyl top. 440 replaced with a 340 still hella fast car. This is in 81 junior in hs driving a loud ass pos Charger doing burnouts in the parking lot.... my dad never even knew I had that thing I parked it a block from my house. Sadly that car ended up getting towed after I bent the core support & could not shut the hood so I just dumped it. I still thi k about that one that i wish i would be able to keep but pops was not supportive of my muscle car obsession. Keep in mind this is smack in the middle of Dukes of Hazzard era so rolling in a 68 r/t charger you are the cats ass. Good times! Anyway I could keep going with cars I've had over the years (I'm 54) but I'm looking to grab my second 05 hemi Magnum r/t (definitely a futre collectible esp the SRT8s the 08s are the rarest at 232 or 240 built depending on who you ask) anyway Brad I just wanted to share that with you cuz we speak the same language so to speak. Rock on brotha ttyl.

    • @robertbisson9499
      @robertbisson9499 3 года назад

      Damn I'm sorry I was like15-16 years old at that time i dont think i ever thought to get a picture of it i didn't even know what the fender tag was back then but here's what I do know- 1968 Charger R/T B7 blue stripe delete, white vinyl top white bucket seat interior with console shift automatic. Even with the 340 in it that car was an animal "rip a tire" as you say (actually had the 8 3/4 with the Sure Grip so it would rip both with gusto. I'm so lucky my guardian angel was working overtime for sure cuz my buddies & I were freaking lunatics behind the wheel. Like I said pops had no clue I'm running the streets at 15 with no license yet in a pos musclecar. I'm so lucky to this day knock on wood I never even scratched one of my fast rides much less wrecked one. I do consider myself a skilled driver I know how to handle a powerful car plus I'm all growled up know & am a little more responsible about where & when I get crazy.... anyway Brad sorry no pics of my "first" car but i know you know your mopars so yes my description is accurate. If I'da known then what I had in my possession I probably woulda took better care of it & tried to actually restore it to its former glory. When I got my mitts on it it was just a 12-13 year old beat up worn out musclecar & I didn't really know dick about cars & mechanics at the time. All I knew is that I looked cool driving it lol!!!!

    • @robertbisson9499
      @robertbisson9499 3 года назад

      On that note I would like to try to get pics of my 05 magnum R/T but my digital camera with all the pictures on it was stolen out of my van while I've been in the hospital. Damn those tweakers! Hate them all. Cool pics of my dog too all gone so gimme time to get that sorted out but she is original paint (I will not buy a car without it) code PPK "Magnesium Pearlcoat" I think it's a one year color but do not quote me on that. Done some upgrades to it so its gotta be pushing 400 to the tires. I have not done any time trials with it yet since then. Also I am terrible with computers i dont even own one just my cellphone so sending videos & pics Ima have to recruit someone who can do that for me. Gimme a week or two see what I can do. I alsomentioed I'm looking at another 05 Magnum R/T this one is factory silver but needs an engine. I just hope dude hasn't sold it while I've been in the hospital.... anyway Brad thanks for responding & reading my babble it helps me kill time sitting in my hospital bed & keeping me from going insane with boredom. Taking advantage of the free WiFi yo!! Ttyl brotha.

    So those folk that you'ns got it from are holding on to the big old boat that probably seen its last trip to the water anyway but thinking about what did it get power from as in a chevy or dodge or ford engine..... some were some real hot engines and that stuff bolted to the engine is priceless unless nature took its course on that too. Don't know if its enough to get it back together on the mustang but some parts can make all the difference and those tin worms thats hiding down there had some delicious food for a while now... since say 75 or so. Last comment for tonight. Bored with alota time on my hands cuz I'm in a hospital currently recovering from some serious gastrointestinal issues that damn near killed me a month ago today actually. Finnally getting out to.oorrow thank God!! I'll spare the details.... but I wanted to share my first experience riding in a 69 bigblock Roadrunner at the age of 15 I think. Green 383 factory 4 speed car with a hella nastyass cammed up headers super loud built 440 in it. Older kid owned it & built it himself. Cruising PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) I'm in the back seat 5 heads in the car we cruising at 60 in 4th gear when suddenly with zero warning dude downshifts it into third & stomped on it. That Roadrunner lit up the rear tires at 60+ & was fish tailing all over the road we hit well over 100 in mere seconds. Wow I just remember the roar of that 440 & the brutal acceleration pinning me to the back seat... it just kept pulling so hard. It made a lasting impression on me I can still remember like it was yesterday. That was my first "real" ride in a big block mopar & boy she was a good one...

    • @PoorBoysGarageUSMC
      @PoorBoysGarageUSMC  3 года назад

      Nothing like a 440! Just straight out of the box they are bad to the bone! The purple 66 Coronet you see at the top of my channel. That car was lost for 20 years on the side of a shed, never to be driven again. We got her fired up and man she would rip a tire! Love a 440...

    • @robertbisson9499
      @robertbisson9499 3 года назад

      Hell yeah Brad if you decide to keep that 66 (my birth year btw) I'd love to see your videos on a build up of that 440 & install. A buddy of mine had a 66 Satellite with a factory 383 auto bucket seat car unfortunately he totalled it 4 houses away from mine. He was reaching in the back seat took his eyes off the road & hit my neighbor's parked 84 Bronco head on so hard it shoved it about 100 feet up onto the next door neighbors lawn. Both vehicles totally destroyed. That Satellite was a sweet ride before that original burgundy paint & perfect trim throughout.
      . The front end was folded up like an accordion. Sad but true story. That one bummed me out.

    • @robertbisson9499
      @robertbisson9499 3 года назад

      According to the accident investigation he hit that Bronco at 45- 50 mph. In broad daylight. It was a gnarly wreck but of the 3 heads in the car the only injury was the guy in the backseat cut his knee open real good on that big ol chrome center console... "that's gonna leave a scar" lol.

    • @robertbisson9499
      @robertbisson9499 3 года назад

      A note regarding that badass green 69 4 speed RR from my hood when I was a teenager- dude (his name was Greg) terrorized the streets with that bad boy for a good two years before he accumulated too many tickets the cops were not very happy with him so he pulled that 440 4speed out & for the life ofme cant recall what he dropped it into just to throw off the LAPD. For a bit at least... sadly he dumped the RR body in a alley near my house & all I can think of is how clean & rust free that 69 RR body was at the time. Hauled off to a boneyard a week later & probably picked clean within days. Today that RR body would be worth at least 15 -20K easy with no drivetrain in it. Thems were the days....

      Ok so another war story from back in the day ... there was a Bob's Big Boy restaurant in Manchester Blvd in LA probably still there but that was the local meeting spot for the street racing crowd on Friday & Saturday nights. The races would usually go down a few miles away on Pershing Blvd west of the LAX airport runway. Anyway to make a long story short (still in the freakin hospital so excuse me if I'm bored) there was this evil primer spotted 67 chevelle wagon that would come in on a trailer. Tunnel rammed nitrous injected 427 power glide trans fully tubbed& wheeliebarred. By far the fastest car there it got to where nobody would try to race him that Chevelle wagon would squat on the bars & carry the front wheels a foot off the ground for half the quarter mile he had to be running deep in the 8s at 160 plus. He would beat nitrous street bikes like nothing that car was so fun to watch run. I never seen or even heard of him losing a race. This was also the early 80s so having a "street car" running 8s is pretty freaking awesome. Good times yo!!!

    Ok Rob again. I love the 05 to 08 dodge magnum R/T & SRT8s. I feel like I need to share a little of my mechanical knowledge about the first years of the gen 3 hemi chargers magnums & 300Cs that I've learned since owning one- first of all the Achilles heal in the engines is the valve train. With the MDS (multiple displacement thing) where at idle & light throttle it disables 4 cylinders). On a stock early Gen 3 first thing you should do is rebuild the valveyrain & disable that shit. Hell with the gas mileage it's a freaking Hemicar fer crying out loud. Long tube headers with a full cat back system with free up alota horses too. Those engines also respond very well with a higher lift cam.. The trans although built strong ( they had to be!!!) don't like to shift well freakin slushboxes so a proper rebuild with a good shift kit & higher stall tc is a must if ya like to beat on your hemi car like I do. If you like stupid power turbos & blower & shit I also highly recommend you put stronger halfshafts n the IRS cuz eventually holeshots with stupid torque will snap your stock ones. Last llil secret- that little button in the center of the dash many do not know this but to properly disable the traction control you must press & hold for more than 10 seconds. Now you can smoke both rear tires down the block pissing off the neighbors. Hope this info helps any of yall out there with an early gen3 hemicar btw the SRT8s are an entirely different animal no MDS but same trans as the R/Ts.... same rear end etc. Just waaaay more horsepower... anyway hope this info helps someone out there. Peace yall ttyl.

    • @robertbisson9499
      @robertbisson9499 3 года назад

      Yeah I forgot to mention about the gen 3 5.7 hemis with the MDS system... the faults are specifically the valvesprings cuz if that MDS system. I've heard of them breaking dropping the valves into the pistons at idle to full throttle. It happened to my car when my radiator split at the bottom lost all the coolant & by the time I realized what was happening the engine had rapidly overheated & the #1 & #6 valvesprings had broken dropped the valves & destroyed the top of those pistons. An expensive lesson learned. Had a new engine built & installed at a local shop kick ass job. Anyway that is why yall early Gen3 5.7 hemi owners should beef up the springs before it happens to your car. Not saying it will hopefully not but be aware of it....

      Best 1/4 mile in my magnum bone stock with 122xxx miles on street tires was 14.02 at 102 mph clocked by GPS. Pretty darn impressive. The trap speed was what surprised me the most. . Btw top speed is 129 mph with the "governor" in the ECM. It can be disabled & yall can push it to near 150 mph... those cars are super stable at 100+ just be responsible when & where you do shit like that. Ever see all the wrecked Hellcat Challengers & Chargers on RUclips? Those cars are not for the novice drivers you must respect a car with that much power cuz if you dont it'll go outta control before you can even say "oh shit"...

    Those fastbacks are so hard to find, good save. One question, I'm located in central South Carolina and I've been in quite a few yards and private collections, I've even got a friend down the road that has about 50 classic cars in the woods since the 80's. That being said, why do the cars at your location rot so bad? Are you near the ocean? Don't get me wrong, they rust here too but not like these that are so completely gone that you can't pull them out without breaking them into pieces. Great show, keep up the good work for us rat junkies.

    Yo Brad I got a question for ya been bugging me regarding a comment you made at the start of the video where you rescued that 66 Saty in the same yard the 69 GTX sits- you said "ya know what I missed out on today? A freakin Hemi Charger..." as you were petting that engine block in the garage.... could you please tell us what that was about? I'm very interested in the story behind that & I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. Whenever ya get the time I'd love to hear about it. Thanks man once again keep up the good work.

    • @PoorBoysGarageUSMC
      @PoorBoysGarageUSMC  3 года назад

      Yeah no problem brother. I got a message from a guy that follows my FB group page. He gave me a call and told me that he knew where a charger, (1970 I believe ) was siting. He said it’s been there for years, and he wanted it but money was tight so he wanted to see if I wanted it. The owner wanted 5000 for it firm. A couple days went by and the guy called me and said he was going to talk to the owner and see when I could get out there to buy it. He told me the engine was out of the car but he thought it was stashed in the shed on the property. Of coarse as he approached the house, he noticed the car was gone. It sat there for 20 plus years, and now it just disappeared. Turns out the neighbor was home as he pulled in the driveway. The neighbor told him it just sold a few days back and the engine they pulled out of the shed was a Hemi! 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦. That’s about the jist of that one.....

    • @robertbisson9499
      @robertbisson9499 3 года назад

      Wow man I bet you were super bummed when you seen it was gone & got that bad news. Chargers get swooped on quicker than cat snot these days. Perhaps you could track it down in the future ya never know if you might get a chance snag it again in a few years.... always the optimist. Cool story tho sorry ya missed it 70 Hemi Chargers weren't common even when new. I think Dodge built less than 100 of those beasts but dont quote me on that. Very rare regardless. Thanks for the quick reply Brad ttyl.
