I I liked how you were able to identify the owner and the back history of it while it was still a car. Your braver than me bringing in the hunk of rust.
Ya know, it looks pretty rough now but…. With the story line from the fellow that reached out to you. As you say, how neat is that! A person has to wonder about the memories that surround the bent up rusty old Mustang! Thank You and Duff, for dragging out of the trees!
Thanks Mortske, no tree is gonna stand a chance now that you've got the Poulan Wild Thing!! Hot garbage is such a good description of this Mustang, still got a couple of useful/sellable parts, awesome that someone recognized it!
Thank you Mort & Duff Dog! Get a kick watching ‘high-speed’ Duff during the fast advance sections; also watching him run in all the green grass and tree back ground scenes. Mortske Manor is Duff Dogs Disneyland!
I trimmed our tree in the front yard one Saturday afternoon in shorts and flip flops and many sammich's. My neighbor thought I was nuts. Got the job done everything still attached. 😂👍💯🇺🇸🍺
Anytime you rescue a classic Mustang 🐎 it's a been a great day brother!!Mortske sir dude you need a get a damn fastback then to let the Stang Mullet go wild in the winds of the north!!!You already have some great parts to start lol
North Dakota weather continues to amaze me. 55 here in the Northeast today. Same temperature it was back in March. Meanwhile you went from snow on the ground to 85
I almost missed this video bc I am in Eureka Springs and the service here is spotty! This video is the best thing about this trip! 😅 Thank you for sharing! 😊
Awesome story behind that car of how your not now uncle got it. I've seen videos where they take rusted out Mustangs and acid dip them and then rebuild them. This is not one of them. The good news is you rescued some parts that I'm sure some Mustang restorer needs. Keep it up. I enjoy your adventures with Duff.
The rear side windows and the cranks - if they work the cranks are worth something. I seem to remember those little back windows were prone to coming off the tracks. The trim in areas still looks good. I had a '67 notchback that got rear-ended two days after I bought it used. Drove it around for a couple more weeks with the gas tank sticking up vertically.
Keep all the pulleys you can. They make great spring perch and buckets, an old demo derby trick. Keep up the great work, and as always, be safe in your adventures. A friend from Ohio.
Appreciate ya saving what’s left of a pony! Been a Ford guy all my life and the pony is my fav! Put me on the short list of fans that would like to see ya build a Mustang! 2+2 would be best! 💪👊🙏👍🇺🇸❤️
Super chewy. Very cool that someone recognized it and sent that message. Small world after all...what are the odds as they say. The dash and driver door may be the only things that are salvageable, but there could be more. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing, Mort! 👍
Reminds me of when I dragged home a 1956 belair convertible, back in 1975, in very simular shape just for a piece of trim and a section of the convertible top rigging. Nothing else was good but those pieces I needed for my convertible.
I remember when I was a kid bailing hay, we did square bails. I remember the old farmer made us stack it in the barn a certain way so they could finish drying so they wouldn’t catch fire. I thought he was crazy, but I remember one popped open and it was hot as could be inside, like burns you hot. I took him seriously after that and made sure I did what he said. He wanted them stack on end, theory is the moisture would go up through the balls easier then it they are stacked flat like you would want to do naturally. I know it made it a pain to get them back out of the loft kinda. Man I miss those days, so much simpler.
On the early Mustangs the 4 lug had 6 cylinders , the V-8 had 5 lug wheels . My Dad still has his 66 6 cylinder 3speed he bought brand new and it is a 4 lug wheel .
I think, the 6 cylinder Mustangs were 4 bolt wheels and the V8's had 5 bolt wheels. My Dad retired in 1979 after working for International Paper for almost 20 years. Half that time he was farming also.
Amazing how the internet can come through with info. Best comment was at 10:15...made it home in "one piece".Kinda optimistic definition of one piece...imo.
The way I hear it, five lug wheels on early mustangs indicates a V-8 engine from the factory. And four bolt rims were straight sixes. Of course, you can always swap parts, as they’re all interchangeable
I love getting hoarded out cars. I bought a '71 and a '73 VW Fastback from this estate sale of a hoarder when I was buying cars for a junkyard. Both were absolutely stuffed with VW parts for every model from the early 60's to the mid 70's. I bought all of the parts at employee price and sold them on Marketplace. It took about a year, but I paid my rent for a couple of months. I still have a set of Fastback tail lights. I did stuff like that several times. BTW, we got the '73 running, and sold both of them to a guy who planned to restore them. They got saved.
All Mustangs were titled 1965 but if it has a generator it's an earlier 1. I had 1 of those. 4 lug were 6 cylinders, 5 lug V8. However many were converted from a 6 to a 8. There were dash changes as well. Only car that gave me 0 trouble.
That 8" rear end may be worth money to someone. It is a 2 year only Mustang rear (65-66) and maybe three years in falcon's (64-66) in 67' the 8" didnt have the "neck down" near the drums. I had to search high and low when converting my 6-cyl mustang tonfind a correct 'neck down' 8" to replace the smaller 4 lug rear.
I call it Stock As in I have one of those “In Stock”! You have a great inventory. One day you should make a car from as many different things as you can. Name it Frank. (Franken Car)
I I liked how you were able to identify the owner and the back history of it while it was still a car. Your braver than me bringing in the hunk of rust.
The history is always the coolest part! Nice Mortske!!!!
The history lesson on this was awesome! Thanks to that guy for reaching out!

Thanks for the Saturday matinee! Nothin better than some sammich's and an adventure. Thanks to all involved 🐾🍺
Wild to find that detailed History on that car, Mortske my old Man used to say Parts is Parts and One Man's Junk in another Man's GOLD!
Thanks Mortske, no tree is gonna stand a chance now that you've got the Poulan Wild Thing!! Hot garbage is such a good description of this Mustang, still got a couple of useful/sellable parts, awesome that someone recognized it!

Anytime you rescue a classic Mustang 🐎 it's a been a great day brother!!Mortske sir dude you need a get a damn fastback then to let the Stang Mullet go wild in the winds of the north!!!You already have some great parts to start lol
"That's pretty neat!" I'm glad you grabbed it. You have so e neat pieces!
Great history Mortske! Thanks for sharing. 🌺
North Dakota weather continues to amaze me. 55 here in the Northeast today. Same temperature it was back in March. Meanwhile you went from snow on the ground to 85
Thanks Mortske . It was another good one. It’s awesome when you get some history on them . Have a great weekend👋
Coolest part about this video was seeing the car whole in the old photos, and the story.
I almost missed this video bc I am in Eureka Springs and the service here is spotty! This video is the best thing about this trip! 😅
Thank you for sharing! 😊
Thats amazing to get the story on it with pictures. How neat.
Nice background story on the Mustang! Thanks

You’ll have that up and running before Christmas! No telling which year, but you’ll be done by Christmas for sure!
That’s straight up YARD ART Mortske Great Story
A great job Mr. Marsky I love what you do man. I think you're gonna bring that one roll back out that chevy with the big block❤❤❤😂❤❤
More Mortske Telehandler Adventures! I’m with you, the first gen fastbacks were the best
What's that you're wearing? Oh, that's my summer cologne, deep woods off. Good enough for the girls we go with. 😄👍🏼
Great video! That Duff dog is something else!
Way to go mort. Bob loves those old mustangs. I’m a galaxie man myself. A 65 with a 427 and a 4 speed would about do it for me.
Summers here-- theres lots of fun thangs to do waitin out yonder!!!
Man has a endless supply of “inventory”. I dig it.
That was very interesting 🤔. Thanks for sharing.
Cool that you found some history on the rig.
Hopefully we'll be seeing that TA in the near future!
Check for the fender tag or possibly the codes stamped under the front fenders to see what it is
She looks like a builder to me 😂😂👍🇬🇧
Thanks man! love the short vids, always entertaining!
Yup you can't even classify that as "A Memory Of A Mustang" 👊😎👍

You will need some more Bins for all that extra stuff there Mortske.

Can't wait to see you make that thing run again! So cool you're going to bring it back from the dead.👍👍👍👍
On the early Mustangs the 4 lug had 6 cylinders , the V-8 had 5 lug wheels . My Dad still has his 66 6 cylinder 3speed he bought brand new and it is a 4 lug wheel .

Is it possible to do a quick overview of what upgrades you’ve done with your Side by Side ? Love your videos and content by the way.👍
Put a glass rear window. Tip out front window and a gun rack we have yet to use. And a mirror. That’s all.
Hell yeah brother.. 70 Mach1 is my favorite.. took me 6 years to find one. R code Windsor👍
Hey Mortske if we can figure out shipping or anything I'd be interested in all the pulleys, any brackets and the two heads
Man those forklifts come in handy!
The car certainly doesn't look like much but it was still a fun video to watch. Keep the awesome content coming and the cool videos 👍✌️🇺🇲
This should be another epic adventure 😊 just the greatest ♥️

That cinder block that was left there to be used to sand the rust off the trunk sheet metal.

Good info
48 plate in Indiana was Madison County Indiana until they did away with the county number as part of the plate bit over a decade ago.
The fairgrounds are on Snelling Ave. That company couldn't have been too far away.
Yay Duffer Dooo and a Mushrat tooo !!
always start with the skid steer! LoL!
Lots of good original glass
I call it Stock
As in I have one of those “In Stock”!
You have a great inventory. One day you should make a car from as many different things as you can.
