The M18 1/2" drive Milwaukee is on sale at HD for $199 w/a battery & charger, but it's $200 & they get you on the batteries. Way MORE expensive, so its still not as good of a deal. Furthermore, the battery is only 90 Watts opposed to the 96 Watt Kobalt and the the Charger is only 85 Watts , opposed to the Kobalt w/ 150 Watts charging output. (Milwaukee chargers are nearly twice the price of Kobalt also;-)

DESCRIPTION: Kobalt 24-volt Variable Brushless 1/2-in Drive Cordless Impact Wrench (4 AH Lithium Battery and 150W Charger Included)
Item #4913881 | Model #KIW 4024A-03
This new generation Kobalt 1/2-inch drive Mid-Torque Impact Wrench uses the most innovative electronics and motor technology in the industry to deliver up to 650 ft-lb of nut busting torque. The new compact size allows the user to fit the tool into tighter spaces. The compact size offers a lightweight tool which maximizes productivity and reduces user fatigue on long workdays. The newly designed grip with soft over-mold provides superior comfort along with improved balance makes this tool the go-to for every job. The Mid-Torque Impact Wrench was specifically designed for the Automotive user in mind featuring two electronically selected special mode settings. The hand-tight mode automatically senses when lug nuts are snugged up against a wheel and shuts the tool off, preventing the user from accidentally over torquing the lug nuts and damaging the threads. Auto Slow mode allows the tool to loosen nuts at high torque level and then once the nut is loosened, the RPMs automatically slow down preventing user from out of control feeling and losing the nut. These innovative electronic settings help the user complete jobs efficiently and without stress. This will be your new go-to tool for automotive use! The Kobalt impact wrench also features 3 speed/torque settings which can be easily selected using the electronic push button. Setting 3 delivers up to 650 ft-lb loosening torque and up to 500 ft-lb fastening torque. This impact wrench includes a durable 1/2-in drive steel anvil with hog ring. Bare tool is only 4.2lbs and tool with battery installed is only 6.1 lb. The included soft bag is provided for added convenience of storing and transporting.

Thanks for the review. I’ll be getting one soon.
You're Welcome and thank you for commenting. The M18 1/2" drive Milwaukee is on sale at HD for $199 w/ a battery & charger, but it's $200 & they get you on the batteries. I got this a couple of weeks ago for a one-day sale at $99, a smoking deal for what you get. Thank you for the review!
Tools rule !!!!!!!!
Nuttin’ wrong with getting excited over tools… long as ya aint nuttin off over them. 😮 🤩 🤣
thx for sharing, 1000 lb without auxiliar handle ... be careful with your wrist .. dont believe it has a kickback safety future
but have fun ... show this beast in action, and i would definetly go for a second battery, you never know ....
It doesn't... I don't have anything that requires over 250 pounds. I only got a Mid-Torque for frozen or rusted bolt removal ... rather be over-powered than under powered!
Pretty sure it's basically this price for most of the year. It was this price last year. Imo the 4 tool +2 free tools for $250 is better. Even the 2ah +4ah battery + k stack case with a free tool for 99. Unless you absolutely need the mid torque.
I just wanted a single tool for the truck which could do everything. Not to mention, the battery and 150W charger cost nearly as much as the tool, especially with other quality manufacturers. I have some heavy duty tasks with the truck and trailer, so a cordless drill is inadequate. I got the circ. saw b/c i don't like using sawza and it came with a 4AH bat. and 85W charger for $79, which cost nearly as much as the tool ounce again.
Like the video and coverage and info on Kobalt, but way too much yapping, with no real context or testing shown, albeit with some of the other stuff that is going on there.
see you like it, thats good. dont know if this is such a bargain. but a 1000lb without a auxiliar handle .... be careful with your wirst ... cant imagine it has a kickback safety future .... and i would definetly go for a second battery you never know .... have fun
... probably the best for the money in 2024 ... until next year of course ;-) That Wrist torquing issue is discussed in attached video, (the guy who has the Torque Testing Bench) not too bad.
Is this the best impact. No it’s not 😂

Is this the best comment? No, coz it sux 🤣

I'll be sure to add a second battery to my shopping cart!
