i don't know if you take vibration into consideration as well. I use impact wrenches for deck projects and one of the things I pay a lot of attention is the vibration of the tool. Probably not so much for people that do mechanics, but driving general lag screws while the tool is vibrating can really fatigue you overtime. So far....Milwaukee is the only brand I know that has minimal vibration with their impact wrenches and then there is Kobalt......unfortunately Makita and Ridgid not so good on that department.
I bought mine and like it so far however the anvil is the worst part of the system. I find it very difficult to take sockets on and off which makes me want to return it because of that. Did you have any similar issues with yours?
wow thats a cool tool. Will it allow you to manually loosen something like a impact wrench? I got the m12 Milwaukee impact wrench, and I barely ever use a standard wrench anymore. They don't have a lot of break away torque but once you manually break it free, then they are so much faster to loosen and tighten things. If this thing has a lot more torque than those, this could be great for bigger bolts like brake calipers and stuff.
@ I take it, that you don’t know what a skidmore wilhelm is. It test actual fastening torque. And it’s the most accurate method of doing so. Anyways on that test the Milwaukee angle impact wrench put 107 ft lbs of fastening torque. Granted it did use a bigger nut so that might be a factor. (But doubt it as the nut is still smaller than the impact mechanism.)

I know this is a year later and prolly won't get read by the creator, but why was such a big bolt and nut needed for the tests? You lose power with adapters, extensions, swivels, and whatever else you put between the tool and socket. I wonder if the tool has enough power to break that 325 free in less than 10 seconds, and struggle with but maybe get the 350. Regardless, I love kobalt and am always impressed with their tools. Have a high torque 1/2 inch dewalt but it just won't do it from torque loss through driveline socket that is about 4" long. If this kobalt will fit in between the yokes I'm buying it. I hate/love this review because I'm a Milwaukee guy and was about to make a jump on the M12 right angle impact wrench, now I'm thinking this would be a better tool for my automotive needs, sorry Milwaukee 😢
Do most of these companies overrate their tools and kobalt does the opposite? I have a makita that is rated for like 400 ft pounds and struggles removing lug nuts on my car. Also I see the advantage of a right angle but for the weight and length of this tool I would still expect more power. What is the ideal purpose for this tool?
Why would you test the milwaukee with a 1.5-2ah battery but do kobalt testing with a 5ah battery? Its a tool review channel, it’s suppose to help us make the right purchases given close to equal parameters
If you watch and listen to our videos, then we explain this. We tested the Milwaukee M12 right angle with the 2Ah M12 battery because that is what the tool comes with if you buy the kit. The Kobalt does not come as a kit, so we had our choice of batteries. This was a 4Ah Kobalt 24V battery (Not 5Ah). We try to be very fair with our testing and provide tests with tools as our viewers may purchase and use them. We will have a follow-up video showing the M12 with a larger capacity battery. I bought this tool ad have IMMENSE difficulty putting on or taking off any sockets from it. Like I can only get sockets off with pliers and a LOT of pulling an prying. Anyone have a similar experience?
No, it doesn't. To be honest, this is why there SHOULD be standards for measuring torque for impact wrenches, but there is not. When tool companies claim "300 ft-lbs of breakaway torque", they mean that a bolt can be tightened to 300 ft-lbs and their impact can break it free. Thanks for watching.

Will head to lowes to pick it up
Looks like it. We'll do a head-to-head very soon. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews looking forward to it. I did get the Kobalt and its much stronger than my Milwaukee
ATG, Shop Tool Reviews & I tested them. This Asian tool is better (power) than the other Asian tool.
IMPRESSIVE!!!
Thanks brother! Oh, you probably mean the tool is impressive. lol. Yes, this thing was pretty powerful, especially for the money. Keep up the hard work!
$500 with one 4ah battery and a charger shipped here in Canada because we get gouged. Think I might still pull the trigger. Have some dewalt stuff I'm going to try to sell as a package for $4-500 and then maybe I'll get this thing. Need something to zap off semi truck u joints. Have a high torque 1/2 inch dewalt but it just won't do it from torque loss through driveline socket that is about 4" long. If this kobalt will fit in between the yokes I'm buying it. Sick of laying in the snow on the side of the road next to my $330 dewalt with a Johnson bar on the u-joint cursing
I hate/love this review because I'm a Milwaukee guy and was about to make a jump on the M12 right angle impact wrench, now I'm thinking this would be a better tool for my automotive needs, sorry Milwaukee 😢
Why is so hard to install sockets and taking them off ? Anybody had same issue?
Do most of these companies overrate their tools and kobalt does the opposite? I have a makita that is rated for like 400 ft pounds and struggles removing lug nuts on my car. Also I see the advantage of a right angle but for the weight and length of this tool I would still expect more power. What is the ideal purpose for this tool?
Thx great review✌️👍👊
Thank you very much and thanks for watching.
Kobalt seems to way under rate their tools. That is refreshing to get more than you pay for. Kobalt is on a rampage
It sounds like Kobalt is going to under rate these tools, as it gives the consumer a bit more than they advertise. This is a win win for the consumer.
Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews if you havent already done the follow up video. I'd be interested to see the comparison with the 6.0 XC battery.
Kobalt 24v max xtr is great! Like video
Thanks for watching.
I love mines
Hello can help me please to find the charger and the battery for this model impact wrench, I can’t find it , please some one can share the part number please 🙏
I bought this tool ad have IMMENSE difficulty putting on or taking off any sockets from it. Like I can only get sockets off with pliers and a LOT of pulling an prying. Anyone have a similar experience?
If it takes less force to break it free then it should be 80% of 300 ft lbs of breakaway force also
No, it doesn't. To be honest, this is why there SHOULD be standards for measuring torque for impact wrenches, but there is not. When tool companies claim "300 ft-lbs of breakaway torque", they mean that a bolt can be tightened to 300 ft-lbs and their impact can break it free. Thanks for watching.
jesus christ that thing is massive
It's long, but it's not very tall or wide. Thanks for watching.
"Tight spaces"
🤔😂
;) Thanks for watching.

That thing seems huge! A stubby m12 has more power and is literally half the size..
But this will reach into many places that a Stubby will not. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this video متشکرم
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Wow
Having to use a adapter will reduce its capabilities.
