Assolutamente meraviglioso! Questo si chiama " cantare al pianoforte". Si sentono tutte le linee melodiche, alternate fra mano destra e sinistra, in maniera sublime. La tecnica al servizio della musica. Grandissimo!

Out of the 80+ performances ive heard from Lang Lang, this is the 3rd good performance I've heard from Lang Lang! Perhaps Lang Lang is maturing more and more.
Clean phrases, surprisingly tender touch (this was the most tender I've seen this piece being played! Which is the highest of compliments for a piece made by Schumann to his wife), as well as a unique insight. Bravo! 👏

I have never been to a serious classical concert where there was a fog machine. I was waiting for the clowns to enter but thank god it never happened. Sorry he’s a clown pianist with a really decent technique but there are thousands of college students that deserve his career at the moment.

He probably tried to meet the criticism that he was performing without emotion. I think this is far better than his very technical performances of many other pieces, but still it does not really reach me. He misses to emphasize the strong romantic longing inscribed in the piece. Playing slowly just isn't enough. I don't think Lang is a good performer of Romantic music.
