Drove that route in March, '65 after just getting out of the Navy in a '61 Ford Falcon two door coupe, straight 6 with 3 on the tree. Actually started out in Baltimore, and picked up Route 66 when I got to Chicago. From Baltimore, I made it to Santa Monica in just over 3 days. Cheers! :)
