That $30k asic was a dud man. Put $30k into solar instead and you have returns forever, which increase each time your electric-co raises your rates. Do daytime only mining and you don't even need batteries. But hurry TFU cause your kings are about to tariff the crap out of panels and they're dirty cheap only for now.
Let’s face it, mining is addicting. But the game has definitely changed so you have to change with it and that imho means you have to have a multi-tiered approach including buying coins when it makes more sense and even buying used hardware at a huge discount to be able to ROI faster. And of course mining the “right” coins helps too. Timing also matters. I’ve watched over the last bear and noticed which coins and projects held up well and I have used that information going forward. You always have to stay lean when it comes to business and especially when you are scaling up.
Bitcoin Proven long term stability. Kaspa Proven Profit over the medium term long term I think it will continue to be profitable but slow down to become like bitcoin where the energy required to mine becomes only profitable for mining Farms with private energy. Alephium and Radiant still need to be proven, but I think both will become a staple like KASPA. Massive gains for 6 months then profitable for years but a lot lower daily profit then at the beginning.

I like to invest similar to the overall market. Most of the overall market is S&P500. Most of what remains are medium/small cap companies. Add some foreign to diversify. Add bonds if you are not risk tolerate or getting close to retirement. Precious metals and crypto really should be viewed as a hedge and to increase diversification. I recommend no more than 5% of total investment for precious metals or crypto. Crypto especially is ripe for marketplace manipulation making it questionable as a long term investment you can rely on for retirement. Not financial advise, just my 2 cents. In the end you'll do what you want anyway, lol.
I retired in 2014 with 3 years to go before I'm 60, if I make it😅,I'm full on into crypto but not for me, for the kids. If you have a long term strategy and don't do stupid shite within the crypto sand pit, there's a good possibility you'll never look back.
