You can drag and drop your LiDAR data (.las or .laz) in Virtual Surveyor (create a new project first). Virtual Surveyor will convert your LiDAR data to a terrain automatically. When that is doen you are ready to create stockpile inventory. Let us know if you can get it to work. If not we can help you through an online demo.
Hi! I am a quarry operator for sand & gravel in the Philippines. I'm planning to get your product. May I know which DJI Drone works with this seamlessly? Thank you
Any mapping drone will do: DJI branded or non DJI branded. A mapping drone allows you to fly a programmed pattern over your project area so that the photos overlap. You need this to produce the orthophoto and digital elevation model (DSM) which go in Virtual Surveyor for the calculations.
@@konp368 You need accuracy to get good measurements. You can achieve that with or without RTK. Without RTK you would typically need a number of ground control points, with RTK you theoretically don't need ground control points but using at least 1 is a good practice.
The accuracy is determined in your photogrammetry process (production of the elevation model). That accuracy is determined by how you fly (the higher you fly = the lower the accuracy but it will require more work when you fly low so there is a trade off). Also the ground control points you use will influence the precision. Virtual Surveyor calculates all its output based on the information you will put in...
I love this new feature! It is so streamlined! I love the CSV stockpile export too!!! Love it Virtualsurveyor!
Thanks Mark!
good work there VS team. this is soooo helpful, i inventory a quarry 4 times per year and will save me a hole workday :-)
Great to hear all this Peter!
The report looks great
Thanks Alan!
Exactly what i was looking for!
Excellent !!!! very useful tool!!
Quick question, do you guys have a link of what DJI drones that are compatible with your software?
Gents I totally agree, My Name is Care from South Africa UAVs , Space Projects and AI is the Future 🙏
Why do the points appear as green dots instead of yellow crosses?

When we're doing Materials, why the input of density is 1.60 t/m3
These are measured parameters. There exist tables of densities online. Here is an example: www.engineeringtoolbox.com/density-materials-d_1652.html

@Virtual Surveyor is RTK needed to get this data? Thank you for your response, btw. Hope you get more subscribers and viewers.

In terms of accuracy, what can I expect?
