Thanks. Reviewing everything about drones. I'll start in a pretty 'easy' (is anything easy?) task area, but this is something I really love - I was involved with map making/using for awhile in the military. I loved doing it, though it was not actually for so long. Your videos are great! Not sure why you are sharing them, but it is inspiring.
What subscription level do you use for drone deploy? Pro, Business, Enterprise? Are you able to do everything you showed with the baseline pro subscription?
Pro user for this one. Business you can get even more features but you are looking around $300USD pr month! Their plans here: www.dronedeploy.com/pricing.html
Dude, your videos are great. Very informative! I have one question. How do you deliver the deliverables to your clients? Is it as easy as saving it to a thumb drive or is there cloud base software you use? Maybe make a video on this aspect. Great content. Please keep it coming!
@@pd6208 The accuracy, especially with a triple pass flight is decent. Good enough for stockpiles as long as you don't need to repeat the flight and fly the area again with commonality. any error is relevant to the each stockpile itself which is nothing more than a volume so the info collected will be fine.
Great video! Thank you. Just wondering if your Phantom 4 has RTK? Are volume estimates accurate without the Ground Control? Have you compared results with or without ground control?
@@zekehowey I thought that too, but wanted to double check. I'm looking at doing this work too with my Phantom 4, but have only ever used ground control points and Agisoft. Not sure how accuracy is without.
@@dustinrex4585 if you’re purely generating a 3d model then calculations a volume of that model you really don’t need to use control, but if you’re establishing levels on the site for cut and fill analysis then you’d need control on the site to make it survey accurate
@@ozonedronemedia7946 Thanks for the reply. So my understanding is that for smaller stockpile estimates like the ones in the video, volume calculations are somewhat accurate without Ground Control points. But for cut & fill for larger areas, ground control is recommended? Isn't the functionality for both stock pile volumes and cut and fill volumes the same? Or does the accuracy deteriorate over a larger area?
Nice one, i hope i can also train and do the whole process. Where can I get such training. Thanks frin the philippines... Im a geodetic engineer and i need these stuffs to upgrade.
Thank you guys, very interesting videos! I'd like to start this as a secondary job in Italy, and I would like to know what is the typical price for a mission like this? It's really hard to find these informations all around. Thank you!
I love what you’re doing here as a project or mission! Thanks for showing us the working side of a drone survey and the methods used. 👏
Totally crushing on this guy. Great work, thanks for this!

I see you didn’t use gcp’s, do you find the volumes are accurate or close? And how would you know?
I was going to ask the same.. any true reference for measurements
Great video Aaron thx
Very helpful video!
I didn't here a GSD mentioned... What was the GSD to ensure the most accuracy in the volume measurement?
Thanks!
Great Video. Do you think you can do one for power and transmission lines?

Does customer need drone deploy to view their results, I'm curious how they view their deliverables.
Great content. Recently got a drone and excited to start flying.
Fantastic video mate.

Cheers Joel. Depending on the client but usually its a dropbox, google drive or WeTransfer. If its super sensitive then we hand deliver 🤫
How much do you charge for a job like this?
did you use the gnss?
Very informative video bro! Love the content that you share. Looking to get into the drone market myself soon.
Awesome video and great info.
Trusty old Phantom 4, don't you have a 210RTK? why wouldn't you use that? Good to see you are still operating in this current world.
You haven't used GCP or RTK drone, so what accuracy of volume measurements are we talking about?
I have the same question

TBH, to get accurate volumes, you need GCPs. You will get nice models, but not accurate ones.

Great content fella. What ballpark revenue does this type of gig generate..? TIA
I noticed that you have some form templates, do you have any templates for the land surveying and volume industry
What the name sofware sir ? Thanks
As a pilot we don’t always check every Notam so still be cautious.
What format do you export the 3D model in??
On that report can I throw 3D on it

Can you get a volume of an excavation?
What brand and model is that truck cap? I looked for a while and couldn't find one with fully opening side windows!
Where is the bottleneck with upload time? I think you said it was like an hour to upload the images. Is it network, hardware or cloud slowdown?
this is my dream job
Does this drone have RTK
No, this doesn't. To get a true volume estimate its best to use an RTK set up

How do you get the 2d into jpg
Great content
What kind of ground control did you use ? GCPs or scale contraint ? Thanks for the video
No GCPs for this as it was purely for visual estimation
@@UAVISUALS But you are calculating the volume, what is you estimated accuracy?
How do you get jobs like this
By having a REOC to start with, then a lot of patience, then.....over to the host....
Certification helps and experience but lots of business development (sales and cold calls ;P initially )
Damn 2 months for CASA approval, theyre not getting any quicker haha
Nope, not at all unfortunately :/
@@UAVISUALS They really need to get LAANC up and running asap it really hinders the industry
what name drone?
Looks like a DJI Phantom 3
did you use GCPs one this job for the stockpile measurements?
He mentioned in video that he dont use any GCp for this project
Question: is there 💰 money in this specific niche
Too bad drone deploy is only 4999$ yaaay ...
Making money with someone else doing it all for you pretty easy aye
Seems like an educational video but couldn't watch because of the irritating music
Stop zooming in and out and moving the camera all around , very annoying .
Hi, I click on dronemasterclassacademy.com, it was an broken link. Saying, "Sorry Can’t Find!"
thanks! fixed
