I'm a beginner to embroidery and this has helped me tremendously. I didn't know where to start with the software and you were so easy to follow and thorough. Thank you and I loved the video. I learned a lot and took notes...love the humor!!! Looking forward to your next one.
I used to use the Designer's Gallery Suite, PE Design, and Pallette and then stopped digitizing all together since the software became out of date. I decided it was it was time to get some new software and did my research the best I could and decided upon Hatch Embroidery 3. After hearing your opinion, I'm confident that I invested in the correct one. Thanks so much for your videos.
So glad I found you, your tutorials are so easy to follow! Have a multi needle embroidery machine that is still waiting to land on its stand💪Doing research in the meantime to figure out what would be the best software to use. In your opinion and Ignoring pricing, what are the pros and cons between Embrilliance and Hatch. Your tutorials make Hatch seem “simple” to use in that one could learn to use the program fairly quickly. My future goal is to learn to digitize, mostly for our staff T’s and hats, but baby steps first. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
I haven’t ever used Embrilliance so I’m not sure how it compares :( admittedly I got Hatch waaaaaay back from a friend who worked there. It was their beta build. When it went live I bought a copy right away. I love working in it, but again, I have no comparison. I’m sorry I’m not much help here.
Thx so much for the hatch videos. I learned a lot. I appreciate your intelligence and sense of humor… greatly. i know this was a year ago, but i am hoping you will do more videos on the software. Specifically, i would love a demo on how to “fix” and de-densify many designs i paid for from these embroidery companies that are just horrible quality. They don’t bother deleting layers below that are hidden and just pile layer on top of layer. honestly i hurt my machine stitching out some of these monsterously sized stitch counts that were poorly created. Now i know better and would like to edit the designs. I would also love to resize something big to small with the proper density adjustment and stitch count reduction. I’m assuming hatch will do that. I plan on buying hatch soon. Anywho, would be grateful if you would consider covering these topics. I bet it would help others too. Thanks much. N
I'm actually not sure if Hatch will let you edit an exported design, but maybe? I haven't ever tried. I usually buy from Urban Threads or STFA (Stitch Theory Fabric Art) and their designs are heavily tested. I never even bother testing them before using them myself, because they've been that reliable.
Really looking forward to the next tutorials. I won't start my free trial until I've watched more so I can try as much as possible when I get it. I only have a very basic single needle machine which I haven't used for ages so this should inspire me to dust it off and start using again 😁
Oh, glad you're waiting then! I was going to put one out last week, but I caught Covid and lost my voice in the process. I'm on the mend and hope to do the next video this week, which will hopefully cover the absolute basics of the digitizing tools instead of this video, which is an overall introduction.
I stumbbled on your page, to be exact I got an email about the embroidery connect and if you click here you can watch the video I did and you were the next video. I Have been watching you all morning. Great videos and a super personality
When you buy it, you own it. There isn't a subscription service. When they launch a new version, they have typically offered a nice discount for upgrading. For example, I bought the first version of Hatch for $999 then spent $150 to upgrade to 2 and then again for 3.
This is such a great video. You are so easy to listen to and watch. I love your humor. 😸Off to watch the rest of your Hatch videos. Also, I am wanting to use a chainstitch on some artwork...do you have a video on that as well? Also...just subbed!
how can i digitize small words on logos and make it look clear? and how to do less jumps? please drop a tutorial I love your teaching skill xoxo you are the best!
Will do! The way to digitize for small text honestly isn't so much in the digitizing but more in using the lighterweight threads. You need to use 60wt embroidery thread for small details and text. It's the same weight as the bobbin. Your standard 40wt embroidery thread is going to be too thick for small text, so it will look very choppy.
Hello, I just found your videos and I am so excited to try out the software. I have an old Brother 9 needle machine that takes floppy disks. We purchased it years ago and my daughter had a business out of our house. She just gave it to me and I am trying to upgrade software and am doing the free trial with Hatch. Your videos are a great help thank you.! The machine came with tons of artwork. I have a cd that has pes files. I thought I read somewhere that I could view the files through the Hatch software. I did just open one up in a project in Hatch, but can you tell me if there is a way to view what the files on the cd look like? Thank you so much!
Can’t wait to watch this series! I noticed you mentioned the automatic stops for color changes, is there any way to remove them? I have a Brother PR670e and when I use my design it’s stopping after every color even though I have all 6 colors already threaded. I can’t figure out if it’s a digitizing error or machine setting. Nobody else seems to be having this problem since I can only find information on how to ADD a stop not remove lol
I don't think you add stops and stuff with the software anymore these days - most machines have it as a setting to stop between colors or not. At least mine does?
@@fiercekittenz hmm I guess I’ll need to re-check my machines settings then 🤔 It’s just odd since files I’ve purchased don’t stop, but now on one I created it is stopping every color change.
I am presently using generations software and love it, but they may be going out of business. They have some features that I am hoping Hatch has. 1. How do you do an outline with Hatch? red work
OML Embroidery has a great video on how to do this in Hatch! ruclips.net/video/hA3yL0HLiyw/видео.html&ab_channel=OMLEmbroidery%28SueBrown%29 Also, I'm not sponsored or anything. MOST of the things I cover in my channel aren't. I just like to spread knowledge.
I have a Steamfast 680! If you have the countertop space though, a REAL heat press like you'd use in a professional t-shirt shop would be better, but the Steamfast is good for other domestic things as well. I like it. It works for me :)
For my main PC I have an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core processor (3.5GHz), 64MB ram, and a Nvidia 4090 graphics card. My laptop is a Surface Laptop Studio 2 with the 4070 graphics chip and 64gb RAM. You probably don't need all of that though. They list the requirements on their site as being much lower (Intel i5/i7 or AMD Ryzen 6/7 and 16gb RAM minimum). The graphics card doesn't even seem to really play into their requirements.
What kind of embroidery machine do you have? I just export to the correct format for my machine directly to a USB, or use the network to transfer the files. I don't bother with using Hatch to "talk to" the machine.
I do! Well, did rather. I just sold my Brother PR-1055X so I could make room for my new Ricoma MT-1501!!! But the mighty hoops can be used on both. I did have to buy new arms for the sides of them, but they were worth it.
It doesn't explicitly say "vinyl" but if you select the "leather" option, it will be the same thing. Essentially you want to remove the underlay. I keep the edge stitch, but underlay is going to perforate the vinyl way too much.
Perrrrfect. That makes sense! I’m looking to set up my embroidery business - Looking at machines. Prices have doubled from years ago I had before sold it. Ridiculous Price. But I am glad you hopped on YT and answered the question.
Yes! Go to "Lettering/Monogramming" on the left-hand side. Click "Lettering..." then type in the text you want in the panel that pops up. Under the text box there's an area called "Baseline." You can click on those design baselines there - there's one that's a semicircle!
Beefy computer? How beefy. I am working on a project about the Flag Bearers 13 reasons for the folds and have found my machine is doing a great deal of blue wheel spinning. What are your computer specs??

I have a Brother PR-1055X 10-needle !!! I used to have a combo machine and then I also had the single needle Brother, but I quickly got sick of changing out threads. I also wanted to do other things like sleeves, pants legs, and hats. Hats are a big thing for my Twitch viewers. I'll oftentimes do a stream and give away a hat :) They love that. I like to give back to the community as much as I can.
@@fiercekittenz an old roommate used to have a Viking embroidery machine and we could never get the software to work so it ended up just being a really expensive sewing machine. I've always wanted to try again, but that stressful experience had been putting me off lol

I really enjoyed this video , I’ve looking into getting into embroidering hats and this helps so much since there are very few videos in this subject
That's one thing I've noticed is it's super hard to find info on HOW and WHY you do things with embroidery programs.
