This guitar solo grew on me. But so far my favorite is from screaming scuicide, the solo is just soooo good so addicting fun legatos in there, and considering the riff he’s playing over, I couldn’t think of a better solo, I still listen to that whole song, screaming scuicide had the best solo yet for me.
At first I thought it too long and repetitive but after a few listens, I just can’t get enough. All songs are great on this album. Room of mirrors and inamorata are amazing. All of them Lol

She's right and that's the problem with most of all the songs they're all too long they'd be good if they were like four and a half 5 and a half minutes but when there 8 minutes they suck they're better when they're about four and a half minutes it seemed like some of the jamming parts were just pointless
I think that Metallica doesn't seem to deliver good stuff since the Black Album, CD really killed their music (why do they feel obligated to fill the 80 minutes of a cd ?) too much of metallica kills metallica. Megadeth did better
To be honest, I am very disappointed with all the new Metallica songs. They sound like they wanted to write something similar to their 80s classics, but they completely forgot how to do it and instead of normal songs, all they manage to create is a pile of second-rate guitar riffs with forgettable vocal lines and terrible guitar solos. It's just a pale shadow of what Metallica once was.
Because we all know you're just capable to write an early Metallica album better than Metallica itself! Don't you think that 40 years later maybe they don't want to write an early Metallica album? Maybe something inspired, but not the same, things change, people mature, and you need to grow up.

@@eugenemonfourny6119 creating music is not easy. Creating "bangers" like albums of old, sometimes is a once in a lifetime thing. Metallica did it for 5 albums straight, then they changed their music because they changed themselves. Load and Reload era was forgettable for me, St anger made them finally deal with their issues and revealed something raw inside (apart from the trash can snare, it is a decent album), Death magnetic is a great album through and through, hardwired is more of a step into what they are now, and now is a step into what they used to be, I seriously don't see how it could be any different. Metallica is doing awesome these days, considering Kirk and Lars did let themselves go since the early 2000s, both of them were so sloppy at their instruments that was becoming a serious joke, and now they seem to be better musicians than they've ever been, you can see the effort. James is just becoming better and better, his voice is amazing these days, his playing is as tight as it's gonna be. Rob has always poured himself into it 100%, you see less change because he didn't change 😂😂 I appreciate what they've put out, as this is what inspired them, it's the best they could do, it's what they wanted to do, I take it as it is and I'm looking forward to what they do next.

Metallica do play after 40 years but they are no longer a thrash metal band, just listen to the latest from Megadeth, testament, overkill, exodus... from the same era and remain faithful to their roots, old and powerful. Metallica is fine, but they're not thrash anymore.

All of James vocals seem the same over the last 3-4 records. . The style has a sameness to it. I miss the variation of the 1st 5 records.
