hi travis and suzi. before we get to the reaction request, i just want to thank you guys for the love and positivity you bring to every reaction and the sense of community it feels like to contribute to the site. you make us as requesters feel a part of your family and i for one have loved being a contributor over the past almost three years now. this series of requests is going to to be all about metallica and their new world tour of europe that is happening right now as we speak. it is brilliant to see them still killing it at their age and they have not lost their edge when putting on a show and i can't wait to see them when they make their way here. this is the title track from their new album released this year, a great album by the way, called 72 seasons and is a great track.

72 seasons is a straight up banger, already another Metallica classic.
Their fan base goes from teenagers to grandparents ❤ I love it 🔥🤘🎸✌️🥰 They look and sound amazing 😁
You're not wrong, I grew up on Metallica because that's all my dad would play in the car so now I'm 22 with a soon to be 4 year old. Metallica is my childhood.
They also have 9600 speakers in those towers and 48 underneath the stage. I saw a documentary on the sound, stage, and lighting of their touring stage
sound is awful live though. its a terrible design for those not on the floor

This tour they are on is massive, it’s two days and completely different setlists each night hence the “no repeat weekend”
They have 8 microphones on the circular stage so that James can face all parts of the arena 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘

M72 tour is all in stadiums and 'in the round' where the stage is on the field. In the past they only did that configuration in arenas. Most stadiums dont have a roof so they had to design all of the speakers and screens to be free-standing.
The stage is so big that they said the original in-the-round stage from 1991 Black Album could fit in the pit of this stage.
Lars plays 4 different drum kits during the show. So much front row.
Who here is going to the M72 Tour? Me, my mother, one of my aunts in California, and three of my cousins in California will all be heading to the 2 Los Angeles SoFi Stadium shows, we will all be celebrating our first Metallica shows

This was not their first song of the day, they occasionally do tapes as an intro to a song where they darken everything and leave the stage. I was there and I LOVED that intro!

James (and Rob) had like 10 mics to choose from (around the stage, both inner ring and outer ring) and Lars had like 3 or 4 drum kits that came up from under the stage
State College Pa Bryce Jordan Center they started with Hardwired it was fantastic
Best album from Metallica since ...And Justice For All, imo. Listen I love both Death Magnetic and Hardwired... but those albums were inconsistent. They both have some great songs, but this album is fucking brilliant through and through. You don't want to skip songs on this album.
And the special guest for one of the nights was floor jansen
Screaming Suicide is best track on the new album IMO. Title track is cool too but you should watch official video too

I've only seen Metallica one and I believe it was their Cunning Stunts tour. Corrosion of Conformity was touring with them and opened for them so whatever tour that was.

That area in the middle is called, "The snake pit". They have had that in their stage setup since the mid to late 90's. It was usually reserved for fan club members only. Then even within the fan club members you had to enter a lottery to see if you could win a place in the snake pit. Over the years it has gotten larger to what you are seeing today. I think you don't have to be a fan club member anymore. I think you can buy a ticket to be in the snake pit. It is just very expensive. Although I think Fan club members get to purchase their tickets earlier than everyone else. So potentially the snake pit could get filled up before tickets are available for non-fan club members. Or maybe they leave a few tickets available for everyone else.

Okay, the stage is a circle, mics are everywhere around the stage so James can connect with the fans, it was designed for that exactly to bring their fans closer. 3 drum kits all pop up from lower. Its pretty dam genius level! And they can play down in the pit as well which I've seen Robert do on the day that never comes. Legendary musicians here!! Been a tallica fan since 81' im 58. 1 year younger then the boys, except Kirk Hammett hes 60. The best concert....ooohh thats hard. Id say binge n purge 89' aggressive Metallica, but honestly i love Mexico city live 09, or Paris France , Nimes. Excellent concerts.. mine were pretty wild through 80's til 2010' ive seen all 3 bassists and Mustaine in early months mostly covers. A few from K'A but to me, James voice is better now than early early stuff. And the bands crazy tight!! Imo. But the aggressive 89'-94' was fcken insane! Prime!! Thanks for the reaction!🤘🎼🎸🤘❤️

James is 60 now, think about that....
Kirt has to be in the top 5 best guitarists!! Van Halen, Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kirk hammet and Zack Wilde are my top 5.

Everyone who keeps saying "Metallica hasn't put out anything good since (insert old school album)" can suck it, because 72 Seasons is a BEAST of an album.
