3 days for me. Plenty of people have been telling me to play it ever since joker got into smash. My friends love it, youtubers i watch love it. And now that its on gamepass for xbox im falling in love with it.
Got i cant wait for 6 hopefully they port it to pc cause i dont have a ps4 or 5….. i’ve been waiting for 5 to come out on other platform and finally bought it on switch and pc. Honestly i wished they ported the game much earlier but thats that
@@macalloway1 Ehhh, those only restore during battle and depending on party lineup and Persona lineup, you can pretty much kill all the enemies in less turns than it would take to get a respectable amount of SP back from the SP Adhesive. Having those items on the ready is a lot better, alongside Sojiro's coffee and curry, in the long run.
I've been playing the crap out of this finally and I keep having to check guides. Most of the guides make the game even more confusing somehow, but this one felt concise and helpful. Very good points explained in a very digestible way.
I would suggest instead of doing just one backup save, consider doing seperate saves inbetween dungeons or after large story events. You want to save often, but you also want to have some time inbetween saves so you can go back on any mistakes or tasks you forgot to complete.
*Best money farming tip:* Make a Persona with Null Physical, Confuse, Confuse Boose, Aliment Boost. Then solely focus on that Persona's LUCK stat (Higher the LUCK, more money you get) You can boost Persona Stats with Imprisionment and the Gallows that's unlock after securing the treasure to Futaba's Palace. Then, check which Memento Boss is susceptible to Confuse and solo the boss fight to make things go faster. *Confuse the boss:* If your LUCK stat is high, every time the boss throws away money, it'll be around $100k-$200k+ You'll max out to $10 million in under an hour depending on how often Boss throws away money. *Bonus:* You'll get a bunch of physical/magic mirror type items along with getting rich.
I have only played Persona 1 & 5R...and I was blown away how almost instantly 5R reminded me of the first game. The very essence I remembered of that awesome rpg was all there. It looks way polished and more detailed. It became one of my favorite PS4 rpgs almost instantly. I highly recommend it. Every little detail is so cool. The menu art, the music is it's own vibe and not to mute the TV when afk, and combat still reminded me of Persona 1 feel as far as "PERSONAAAA" like an anime power up lol.
My advice to new players would be: take your time. Honestly, even the game says that. Don't rush shit. Enjoy the story, the experience. I wish I could experience P5 for the first time. You don't have to Max or even meet every single confidant in your first playthrough. You can have a second or even a third run. I played vanilla P5 10 times and royal 5 times.

I really miss this game and can't wait to play it on Steam! I got to the Okumura storyline in the original P5 on PS4, but I got distracted by The Witcher 3 and upgrading my PC. I haven't touched my PS4 since then, so it's been almost 5 years since I played it. Looking forward to getting into it on my PC and Stream Deck!
The point about fusing, this is very true for the first playthrough. I struggled a lot with okumuras boss fight (and like the rest of them too) bc I didn't fuse enough. But in my second playthrough pretty much no matter what I had I could win easily. I genuinely think I got a game over maybe once in the entirety of my second run. So yeah, but also it's just having a better understanding of the strategy of the game.
The last tip is crucial. As there is only 16 slots. And for me, i like to use a lot so i can make sure i don't make a mistake but also I ended up skipping certain important dates without realizing how important they are. Though, i see this game is more packed than i thought
For the Tae SP recovery method, i'd say to get the SP recovery items from machines til after the second dungeon. You should be able to get Tae to rank 7 not long after the dungeon and get all her items at half off. Only then would I get the SP accessory. At least one would help immensely. Later in the game, once you get the Victory Cry skill, just keep a persona with it at all times.
Oh yeah I definitely would grab at least one. I like to work on her confidant after getting Sojiro to rank I think it is since you can’t level it up anymore until you finish futaba’s Palace.
You can also use the persona talent that doesn't use up items after a baton pass, then just baton pass to joker and use something like a soma and bam! Infinite sp.
i don't make backup saves, unless I'm trying to get a missible content thats worth, but by backup I mean to avoid saving my games until that point, but making another save file if its a multiple build game, like Souls where I can have a save for every class I want to play
I do the Palaces late as possible I go the first day basically finish it than go the last day and finish it. So I can meet up with the members of the team and build rank the opposite of what you said but I get the same things done 😂
Why do I know all of these tips you mention on the video within my first run of my play through. I was hoping for more tips like when is the best time to buy this item, or when is the best time to level up your bonds with other character or what is the best way to level each stats with minimal effort. I felt proud that I was following these tips long before you came around, but it just felt like I'm not getting what I wanted. I guess it time to pro gamer this alone once more.
I recently finished my first playthrough of the game and I got the vanilla ending. I've been researching non-stop on how to get the 3rd semester and I feel so stupid for not backing up my save data and not spending the time right. I wanted to know the fastest way to get to the 3rd semester so yeah now I know why I messed up
I just did the same and I'm furious, Even tho I loved the ending I got (I've never played the OG Persona 5) I was confused cause I heard the game has a third semester, Then after looking it up finding out your supposed to rank up Maruki?! Who just didn't seem like an interesting character to me so I never bothered, I figured third semester was just part of the game so I spent all my time with other confidants that I liked lol, I didn't know it required near Fromsoft level steps to reach it so mannn I got so upset, I put in almost 100 hours up to Sae Palace just for my system to mess up and delete all my save data, Then recently just put in almost 200 hours to reach the end, Only to find out I missed out on a good chunk of the game, And I never backed up any save data, So only way is to play through again. I just don't have it in me now lol
@@butterschunkmcdonalds5333 If you have the game on PC you can load a new game plus save, use cheat engine to fast forward to the day you can start Maruki, get his rank to 9, then fast forward to the day he leaves. Fast forward again to the OG ending day and you’re set. If you’d rather do it normally, use the fast forward button during scenes and dialogue/skip scenes entirely. You’ll save a ton of time and get to the third semester so much faster.

I've thought about fast forwarding thru it but I love the story and characters so much I feel like I'm doing it a disservice by speeding thru and not experiencing it again if that makes any sense lol. I'm upset I missed out on the new content but I also really wanna play 4 now that I have it, I'm torn on whether I should just replay P5R now or Go ahead and give 4 a try, Cause whatever one I choose I have a feeling will be the only Persona I play for a good bit as I don't see myself immediately going directly into the other one out of fear of getting a bit burnt out. It’s an offline game they made available to pre install weeks ago. I’ve never had an issue with a game being available because of people trying to get on. That happens with online games with online servers.
I know, I pre installed it two weeks before it came out. I was only able to confirm that was the issue because that’s what it said the issue was on their website.
Easiest way to farm money is in momentos with ryuji instakill skill + Jose money earned for collecting stars all the way maxed/highest you can make it at that time. Same with experience.
Man that 5th palace ain’t no joke I wasn’t prepared I had to buy a lot of health items n put the game on easy cause it was no way I was beating that dude on hard difficulty that stupid green robot was the death of the runs

I'm a new player and the sp limit was annoying. The dlc comes with an item called "camera strap" that gives you sp on your turn whenever you ambush an enemy

Ayo, Confidant interaction events repeat periodically until you do them right? I had an event for Yoshizawa to get her to rank 2, but there was also an event for Maruki which I went for since I dont have a Faith persona. Yoshizawa’s event will just reappear sometime soon right? Ryuji has also been harassing me every day for the last month to go out with him but I got other priorities since getting him to like level 4, so I’m assuming others work the same way.
It will reappear yeah, but Yoshizawa is free to talk much less often than Maruki, so I'd priorisitise her when you can. If you don't have a faith persona on you but had one previously, you can summon one from your compendium in the velvet room outside the Airsoft shop or in Kichijoji. There is a deadline for completing the confidants of some characters, so make sure you max rank them before that.
Yes she will reappear, but some characters only appear at certain times, and she appears a lot less than normal characters. Her confidant along with Maruki’s are very important so make sure you hang out with them as much as you can.

@@KDThreeSixty aye dw, played for 12 hours today and got her to rank 5. Do confidant points cap out at a confidants rank? /are points detached from ranks? There’s some confidants I have gotten loads of points for but haven’t done tank up events with (I’ve aired poor Ryuji since early May) so have those point warnings been completely wasted or will they mean that I can basically keep levelling that confidant every time an event appears?
Sorry, quick question about how the dungeons timing works- so you have a set 2/3 weeks and then the next story beat triggers even if you beat the dungeon in the first week? Like say I beat the dungeon and then I’ve got an additional 1/2 weeks to do whatever I want until the next story even triggers? Hope that makes sense
Am I the only one who forgot that dungeons don't need to be done in one run, I spent an hour getting stuck on kamoshidas palace because I was a noob and didn't know had 14 days to do it lol

Maaaaan. I've been playing this game on Easy and it has never been a problem. Just bought it on PC. Cruised thru everything all the way up until Okumura. Man, fuck him and fuck the designers who thought that was a good boss idea. I see elitists online talk about how easy he is if you are playing the game the right way - bro, if you replace the wrong skills because the skills you are using are working perfectly in your playthru with ZERO problems and then out of nowhere you run into a brick wall then it is *VERY MUCH* a game design issue. I'm gonna give it another shot tonight but I have to say it's really soured my experience so far.
When that happens to me I'll just usually just fuse new personas to the point where I lose almost all my money while the rest of my team uses items if what skills they have are not helpful to any fight. Buff items comes in clutch
How different is Royal to normal? I’ve been playing persona 5 on PS and been loving it. Wondering if it’s worth buying Royal right after I finish, or better to leave it for while then come back to it later. Will probs buy it on switch so that it feels kind of different too, unless anyone would suggest otherwise?
A few new characters, more development for already existing characters. There’s also a few new features like the fusion alarm and a new location. The biggest difference is the new third semester which is about 10-20 of extra content. I would recommend waiting a bit unless you wouldn’t mind playing through the game again. it starts with a lot of small neat new changes and the big ones showing up towards end game
One thing I discovered in P5R and have not seen covered was re recruitment of existing Persona. Basically say you have Arsene, Pixie and Kelpie in your roster and encounter Pixie again if you initiate hold up and ask pixie: "Lend me your power." She will join and merge with Pixie which already is in your roster meaning pixie will gain EXP I leveled up many "backburner" personas that way.

@@kelevera92 whenever your day starts in the game, press r1 to open up your rail map. You can check each area of the map to see who is available and fast travel to them. Make sure you have a persona with the matching arcana
Very funny video man! I love the money section because I just started my first playthrough and dungeons get me easily 30k-50k yen when I'm interrogating for money where as most of the jobs so far pay awful. I assume their main purpose is for getting some money and skill points.
Here I was thinking this game was easy, then your SP recovery item tip tells me recovering sp is hard. Ahh the camera strap that one of the packaged in dlc's gave me must be completely OP. Maybe for my second playthrough I'll get rid of all those accessories and see how hard it is then.
When you go to the velvet room you can put 2 personas together to make a new one that’s a lot stronger in most cases. You can put your favorite skills and traits from the personas used to fuse onto the new one. Each one is assigned to one of the confidants so the higher that confidant’s level the more bonus exp you get when you make it
Ok i started playing this game like 2 months ago, racked up a few hours, then had hella exams. Resumed playing yesterday. How do you fuse personas? I fogor how to go to that prison cell 💀

i keep getting my ass beat by a mini boss in madarame’s dungeon that nullifies almost everything. i don’t know if i should leave and try to strengthen my personas or keep trying until i get through
If what you’re using is not working, definitely go back to the entrance and try to change your lineup. If you think it’s doable with your setup then just keep trying

I liked the game in the beginning but I started getting annoyed with how many different mechanics they were adding as I went along and I am extremely resistant to the grindy leveling up of the social skills. So I played up until I took down Kamoshida and uninstalled the game lol. I really do not need to go back to the game and this video gives me the reassurance that I made the right call.
that’s tough because the game is super good , if you just take your time & go back to the tutorials if you think you missed something then your good . i didn’t think it had too many mechanics but aye it’s not for everyone .

You’ve already put in a lot of time. I wouldn’t want to tell you to keep going only for you to still feel this way later. It does become easier to manage as you go though, you just gotta build yourself up. If you find yourself not enjoying it i’d recommend strikers instead
best advice i can give use the online thief gild it will help get right anwsers. also focus one confidant per play threw clear it withone max awards confidant rank unlock item per play threw repeat offen enough to start with confedant fully unlocked accept like 2-3 confedants that are main story based, way its possible for new game + s to get them with all abilities and ranks unlocked! without their rank up needed! also get soniros confedant as early for free sp and sp and health restores to make. via coffe and curry. also focus on one so you can get the unlock bonus item for your next new game +. since currncy alot of items and more carry over into new game + and start easy durign new game + with better stats and all setup will carry over also the skills traits carry over in new game + as well. and persona weakness and database also carries over into new game +. and you can repeatedly clear it on easy to make higher difficulty even easier! also haveign starnadard persona 5 save clear will award you some bonus items! and you can uses a standrad persona 5 save clear to start and carry over into persona royal! with all items. that way one can speed run the first halv and only needs focus on the royal new stuff areas fights and confedants!

you could also do sojiro's social link to get 2 free sp items every night
Tip: If you bought Royal, you're given 10x Camera Strap accessories that restore SP each turn if the battle is an ambush. Makes SP very manageable.

For the Tae SP recovery method, i'd say to get the SP recovery items from machines til after the second dungeon. You should be able to get Tae to rank 7 not long after the dungeon and get all her items at half off. Only then would I get the SP accessory. At least one would help immensely. Later in the game, once you get the Victory Cry skill, just keep a persona with it at all times.
Oh yeah I definitely would grab at least one. I like to work on her confidant after getting Sojiro to rank I think it is since you can’t level it up anymore until you finish futaba’s Palace.
This is helpful for new players. This is my 2nd playthrough, i first played the the Persona 5 vanilla PS4 which is way more harder than Royal.

You can also use the persona talent that doesn't use up items after a baton pass, then just baton pass to joker and use something like a soma and bam! Infinite sp.
growing veggies gives you great SP items without wasting time also as long as you have the confidant leveled up

i don't make backup saves, unless I'm trying to get a missible content thats worth, but by backup I mean to avoid saving my games until that point, but making another save file if its a multiple build game, like Souls where I can have a save for every class I want to play
My tip? Play OG P5 first. I did and it made Royal feel even more in depth and special

I do the Palaces late as possible I go the first day basically finish it than go the last day and finish it. So I can meet up with the members of the team and build rank the opposite of what you said but I get the same things done 😂

Why do I know all of these tips you mention on the video within my first run of my play through. I was hoping for more tips like when is the best time to buy this item, or when is the best time to level up your bonds with other character or what is the best way to level each stats with minimal effort. I felt proud that I was following these tips long before you came around, but it just felt like I'm not getting what I wanted. I guess it time to pro gamer this alone once more.

I recently finished my first playthrough of the game and I got the vanilla ending. I've been researching non-stop on how to get the 3rd semester and I feel so stupid for not backing up my save data and not spending the time right. I wanted to know the fastest way to get to the 3rd semester so yeah now I know why I messed up

I just did the same and I'm furious, Even tho I loved the ending I got (I've never played the OG Persona 5) I was confused cause I heard the game has a third semester, Then after looking it up finding out your supposed to rank up Maruki?! Who just didn't seem like an interesting character to me so I never bothered, I figured third semester was just part of the game so I spent all my time with other confidants that I liked lol, I didn't know it required near Fromsoft level steps to reach it so mannn I got so upset, I put in almost 100 hours up to Sae Palace just for my system to mess up and delete all my save data, Then recently just put in almost 200 hours to reach the end, Only to find out I missed out on a good chunk of the game, And I never backed up any save data, So only way is to play through again. I just don't have it in me now lol
@@butterschunkmcdonalds5333 If you have the game on PC you can load a new game plus save, use cheat engine to fast forward to the day you can start Maruki, get his rank to 9, then fast forward to the day he leaves. Fast forward again to the OG ending day and you’re set. If you’d rather do it normally, use the fast forward button during scenes and dialogue/skip scenes entirely. You’ll save a ton of time and get to the third semester so much faster.

I've thought about fast forwarding thru it but I love the story and characters so much I feel like I'm doing it a disservice by speeding thru and not experiencing it again if that makes any sense lol. I thought about watching a playthrough to see what happens but I really don't like having to do that, Also I just bought Persona 4 Golden (Heard ALOT of great things about it) And was planning on playing thru it after finishing Royal. I'm upset I missed out on the new content but I also really wanna play 4 now that I have it, I'm torn on whether I should just replay P5R now or Go ahead and give 4 a try, Cause whatever one I choose I have a feeling will be the only Persona I play for a good bit as I don't see myself immediately going directly into the other one out of fear of getting a bit burnt out. Whatever one I don't play I'll probably wait a cool min before I get back into it. Either way, Absolutely loved my experience with P5R so far (Even if it's taken couple hundred hours) And I have a feeling I'll love the story and characters of 4 as well!

It’s an offline game they made available to pre install weeks ago. I’ve never had an issue with a game being available because of people trying to get on. That happens with online games with online servers.
I know, I pre installed it two weeks before it came out. I was only able to confirm that was the issue because that’s what it said the issue was on their website.
Easiest way to farm money is in momentos with ryuji instakill skill + Jose money earned for collecting stars all the way maxed/highest you can make it at that time. Same with experience.

Ayo, Confidant interaction events repeat periodically until you do them right? I had an event for Yoshizawa to get her to rank 2, but there was also an event for Maruki which I went for since I dont have a Faith persona. Yoshizawa’s event will just reappear sometime soon right? Ryuji has also been harassing me every day for the last month to go out with him but I got other priorities since getting him to like level 4, so I’m assuming others work the same way.
It will reappear yeah, but Yoshizawa is free to talk much less often than Maruki, so I'd priorisitise her when you can. If you don't have a faith persona on you but had one previously, you can summon one from your compendium in the velvet room outside the Airsoft shop or in Kichijoji.
There is a deadline for completing the confidants of some characters, so make sure you max rank them before that.
Yes she will reappear, but some characters only appear at certain times, and she appears a lot less than normal characters. Her confidant along with Maruki’s are very important so make sure you hang out with them as much as you can.

Do confidant points cap out at a confidants rank? /are points detached from ranks? There’s some confidants I have gotten loads of points for but haven’t done tank up events with (I’ve aired poor Ryuji since early May) so have those point warnings been completely wasted or will they mean that I can basically keep levelling that confidant every time an event appears?
Sorry, quick question about how the dungeons timing works- so you have a set 2/3 weeks and then the next story beat triggers even if you beat the dungeon in the first week? Like say I beat the dungeon and then I’ve got an additional 1/2 weeks to do whatever I want until the next story even triggers? Hope that makes sense

Maaaaan. I've been playing this game on Easy and it has never been a problem. Just bought it on PC. Cruised thru everything all the way up until Okumura. Man, fuck him and fuck the designers who thought that was a good boss idea. I see elitists online talk about how easy he is if you are playing the game the right way - bro, if you replace the wrong skills because the skills you are using are working perfectly in your playthru with ZERO problems and then out of nowhere you run into a brick wall then it is *VERY MUCH* a game design issue. I'm gonna give it another shot tonight but I have to say it's really soured my experience so far.
When that happens to me I'll just usually just fuse new personas to the point where I lose almost all my money while the rest of my team uses items if what skills they have are not helpful to any fight. Buff items comes in clutch

How different is Royal to normal? I’ve been playing persona 5 on PS and been loving it. Wondering if it’s worth buying Royal right after I finish, or better to leave it for while then come back to it later. Will probs buy it on switch so that it feels kind of different too, unless anyone would suggest otherwise?
A few new characters, more development for already existing characters. There’s also a few new features like the fusion alarm and a new location. The biggest difference is the new third semester which is about 10-20 of extra content. I would recommend waiting a bit unless you wouldn’t mind playing through the game again. it starts with a lot of small neat new changes and the big ones showing up towards end game
One thing I discovered in P5R and have not seen covered was re recruitment of existing Persona.
Basically say you have Arsene, Pixie and Kelpie in your roster and encounter Pixie again if you initiate hold up and ask pixie: "Lend me your power." She will join and merge with Pixie which already is in your roster meaning pixie will gain EXP I leveled up many "backburner" personas that way.
I completely forgot about that ☠️

Trying to figure out all the mechanics of the game is a bit difficult for a brand new player to the entire franchise to say the least.
@@kelevera92 whenever your day starts in the game, press r1 to open up your rail map. You can check each area of the map to see who is available and fast travel to them. Make sure you have a persona with the matching arcana
Very funny video man! I love the money section because I just started my first playthrough and dungeons get me easily 30k-50k yen when I'm interrogating for money where as most of the jobs so far pay awful. I assume their main purpose is for getting some money and skill points.
Yeah they’re definitely better for social points than money. If you get instant kill from ryuji you can rake in even more money with little effort
Here I was thinking this game was easy, then your SP recovery item tip tells me recovering sp is hard. Ahh the camera strap that one of the packaged in dlc's gave me must be completely OP. Maybe for my second playthrough I'll get rid of all those accessories and see how hard it is then.

Persona fusion hasn't been explained to me after getting several confidants. What is it?
When you go to the velvet room you can put 2 personas together to make a new one that’s a lot stronger in most cases. You can put your favorite skills and traits from the personas used to fuse onto the new one. Each one is assigned to one of the confidants so the higher that confidant’s level the more bonus exp you get when you make it

i keep getting my ass beat by a mini boss in madarame’s dungeon that nullifies almost everything. i don’t know if i should leave and try to strengthen my personas or keep trying until i get through
If what you’re using is not working, definitely go back to the entrance and try to change your lineup. If you think it’s doable with your setup then just keep trying
They are weak to nuke, try to capture one of those lion looking shadows

That’s most people, I even did that when I played Persona 3 for the first time.
I liked the game in the beginning but I started getting annoyed with how many different mechanics they were adding as I went along and I am extremely resistant to the grindy leveling up of the social skills. So I played up until I took down Kamoshida and uninstalled the game lol. I really do not need to go back to the game and this video gives me the reassurance that I made the right call.

that’s tough because the game is super good , if you just take your time & go back to the tutorials if you think you missed something then your good . i didn’t think it had too many mechanics but aye it’s not for everyone .
The only really important tip is to not screw you out of the third semester. The rest is easy enough.

You’ve already put in a lot of time. I wouldn’t want to tell you to keep going only for you to still feel this way later. It does become easier to manage as you go though, you just gotta build yourself up. If you find yourself not enjoying it i’d recommend strikers instead

best advice i can give use the online thief gild it will help get right anwsers. also focus one confidant per play threw clear it withone max awards confidant rank unlock item per play threw repeat offen enough to start with confedant fully unlocked accept like 2-3 confedants that are main story based, way its possible for new game + s to get them with all abilities and ranks unlocked! without their rank up needed! also get soniros confedant as early for free sp and sp and health restores to make. via coffe and curry. also focus on one so you can get the unlock bonus item for your next new game +. since currncy alot of items and more carry over into new game + and start easy durign new game + with better stats and all setup will carry over also the skills traits carry over in new game + as well. and persona weakness and database also carries over into new game +. and you can repeatedly clear it on easy to make higher difficulty even easier! also haveign starnadard persona 5 save clear will award you some bonus items! and you can uses a standrad persona 5 save clear to start and carry over into persona royal! with all items. that way one can speed run the first halv and only needs focus on the royal new stuff areas fights and confedants!
