  • Religion is the root of all violence, so many people say. But are all religions equally prone to violence? In this fourth and final episode we compare how Jewish, Christian and Islamic theologies treat the topic of power and violence.
Dedicated to the elevation of the soul of Tzillah bat Shlomo Dov, Doron ben Avinoam, and Hilli bat Raphael.

Shalom shalom Rabbi Menussi, Thank you for the very interesting study!! I had never heard you before and I enjoyed all 4 parts of this study. I taught Christianity for decades. I started studying Torah from Jewish perspectives about 17 years ago. As a result, Hashem had already disclosed to me a few of the 'tree of life' comparisons that you made in this series between Judaism and Christianity. For example, Christianity's strong emphasis on Chesed vs. Judaism's more balanced Tiferet. Yet I had never compared neither Judaism nor Christianity to Islam as you did from a 'sefirot' perspective. Therefore those insights were very new and intriguing. Your Kabbalistic perspective between the 3 makes great sense! I would love to hear Rabbi Ginsburg's additional thoughts on your insights. Perhaps an idea for a Part 5? Your insights on the Seikhs and Polytheists were also fascinating! Thank you for hearing and obeying the call to be a light to the nations!!! Lehitraot, Nelson 😊

Thankyou. As a christian I add to this my point of view. There is a huge number of christians, who keep the hebrew Bible as the foundation. Mattew 5:17- About the law.

The reason why the prophet of Islam and the muslims who followed him were successful in their military engagement is because of their strong faith in Allah. It was not because of their might, not because of their numbers not the weapons or physical strength . They could go to the frontline and fight knowing they will be martyred rather than stay behind citing the logical impossibility of defeating their strong enemy. It's not that they don't value the life of their enemy but it's because they don't value their own lives more than they value obeying Allah and his Messenger.
It may not be possible for others (who have not accepted Islam) to stand the enemy when the enemy is stronger if their faith in God and their faith in a life after death is not strong. They would either retreat or surrender hoping to save their own lives which they value much.
As mentioned in Quran Al-Hashr 59:14 referring to the enemies of the prophet as follows
"They fight not against you even together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Their enmity among themselves is very great. You would think they were united, but their hearts are divided. That is because they are a people who understand not."

SubhanAllah you do not even respect your own torah saying that God in the torah was harsh and that sages had to tone his injunctions down

at the beginning honestly i thought he knew the nuances of what he's talking about apart from Judaism but that does not seem to be the case , like all the islamophobs he quotes it without context. I urge everyone to read the Quran and why the verse exist and in which context .

I don't understand if all abrahamic religions are good then why are they fighting against each other, most wars are religious wars so history portrays.

Sir, what good is a world without laws and rules?
What good is a world where the wicked is not punished for their deed? The punishment of man is self inflicted by their act of disobedience.
If you know that you are going to fall to your death by the clift why would you not heed the the warning. If you fall to your death its no one fault but yours. So also is breaking the laws of God. God is pure sinless and holy. He will not compromise to human decision to go against His will.

The name “Jesus” in Spanish is pronounced Ea-ZEUS the main idol of the Greeks.
The name certainly is NOT Hebrew. Maybe the New Testament Greek text is an “Edomite” version of the teachings of Kabbalah that left OUT the Torah. “You are saved by grace through faith”. The Torah is only for the Jews. Even the Jews believed it, as they always seem to fall for the Erav Rav. The Torah is only for them. Pretty sad! So grateful for Rabbis like yourself who are teaching the TRUTH! Thank you.

Nonsense, the roots of all three religions is GOD, GOD sent all the prophets, GOD sent all holly books

Some of the perspectives of God are very distorted. Parts of the holy books directly contradict each other. They can both be right.

Sounds like Muhammad duplicated Yehoshua ben Nun- they both said to those they were conquering you have 3 choices. Keep your religion just let me inhabit your land.
