Question: I want to install lock on front door of our beach house. If I want to go for a swim at the beach and do NOT want to take my iPhone or any valuables to the beach with me, Will the touch function work on my return home as my iPhone has not left the security zone? Is there a way of using the touch function in this situation, like put in ipone into flight mode when going to beach, which would obviously be most beneficial?
No, you will need your device with you to detect you’ve left the geofences area and returned for the touch function to work. If you don’t want to bring your device with you to the beach you can bring one of the keycards instead and use that to unlock the door.
Thanks for the video. Definitely leaning towards picking one of these up, but I am considering the August 4th gen as well. I haven’t found any comparison videos between the two and I would definitely be interested in a video on this
