Not to mention it works great with Alexa, tell her to turn the floodlight on or off and show the video feed on the Echo Show. Thanks for the video, note to anyone pointing the camera to the front yard where there is a street. The camera will catch, record and notify you of every car passing by even if you have a detection area set that does not include the street, the fix for this is to disable "out of view detection"
Thanks for the feedback and insight regarding Alexa compatibility since I don’t use that platform, viewers will find that helpful. Thanks for watching 🙏
@@_Equilibr1um just depends on your Home Automation Setup and what service you decide to focus on. HomeKit support means it'll work with most of your apple devices natively
Would like to see a Windows App for the Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 system. I have an old iPad, but it cannot be upgraded to the IOS version needed to be used with this system.
First I think your video is one of the best. Maybe revise alittle measuring out the yard and see if it picks u up if jumping over the fence .thanks again
Good job!. One thing u forgot to point out that maybe you didn't notice.....standing at the backdoor looking out so on your left side it did not pick up tracking for the first 5 to seven ft. ..but if you were coming from the right to left it would track you all the way to the corner of the house.....hmm!
It can be a bit finicky when picking up motion behind it or if walking underneath. Hopefully a firmware update will address these issues. Thanks for watching 🙏
Maybe you can help I can’t get mine to connect to my wifi ?? I think it might be because it’s trying to connect to the 5 gh when I believe it should be connecting to the 2.4 gh ??
whats the distance on this thing? lights too. i want to put it in front of my house to reach all the way to the street and maybe my backyard to the canel
Hi. Good Video. I saw comments regarding mounting in UK. I puzzled over this as could not find a suitable backbox in UK. Bought this camera last month and in UK a backbox is included in the box. You dont need the little bracket at all. Dont even get it. Very easy Guys. The rear/top of the camera has a flexible pad which forms the water seal to the box supplied. Screws and water grommets also supplied for cable entry and fixing holes. I puzzled over this as could not suitable box in UK. Good luck.
Awesome Video! Thanks a lot for this. One question: Do you know how can I install a junction box by myself over my garage? I tried finding some videos but they weren't that helpful. Again this was an awesome video!
This is NOT a recommended install but you can get an outdoor extension cord and junction box and wire it so that it can be plugged in, just match the wiring and ground wire. I have done this and it works, but I AM NOT an electrician and do not recommend you follow the instructions above. 👍
Great video! Can you set both ambient and motion light active? In other words, have ambient from sunset to sunrise at 10% brightness, then kick in automatically to 50% when motion is detected, and then revert automatically back to 10% when no more motion?
Hello thanks for the great video, very informative. Something that needs to be discussed more is the Wi-Fi password that is used and the fact that it cannot contain any special characters. I returned my two original refurbished cameras to Amazon because they both refused to connect to my Wi-Fi. When the two replacements did the same thing, I found out that these units will not accept any special characters. So I changed my WiFi password and was able to set up and install the devices seamlessly. Of course I had to re-connected of all my devices in the house, a real pain in the butt. On the bright side I love the way they're working; they have a lot of great features.
Good, completely detailed video, thanks. Incidentally, did you notice someone screwed up the packaging? One on panel it says “Enjoy Anywhere Accesswith” - I had my graphic design eyes on!
Hi, thinking of getting this camera. New to Eufy ad I have ring. What is homekit? Do the recordings go to a cloud based service like ring door bell? Does the camera work on WiFi?
Rey, I’m glad you post the review, I bought mine around 3 months ago and I’m very pleased with it, it is a very good security camera, I installed in my house front area, I used an arm so it is a few inches separated from the wall, that way I take advantage of the full 360*, with that camera I monitor the whole front of my house, it’s amazing. Now, I have a question. The two lamps on the sides, I can regulate them moving back and forth but I can’t rotate them up or down, it’s that something you can do ?
Yes they can move up and down but their movement is limited by the center lamp as they are connected. It oils have been better if they were all independent to allow more versatile movement. Thanks for watching! 🙏
I live in the UK and that size junction box is not available here, but I have a square box 10 cm x 10 cm from an old exterior electrical socket with bolt holes 11 cm diagonally apart. Would the bracket fit on it ? How long is the bracket is really the question. Thanks.
Hello, I recently bought the camera and noticed that it vibrates briefly for 2-3 seconds at night between 2 and 5 a.m. Is that normal? Is that the same with you?
Not the best but the area where I have it faces a freeway. That coupled with the camera trying to do noise reduction lowers the overall audio quality. Would work better in a quieter environment.
That camera is garbage. After the camera did a software upgrade the new software make the camera unusable. Lose connection, no picture. I had to but buy a different camera after I paid 300$. STAY AWAY FROM THAT COMPANY PRODUCT.

@Silver Shamrock Yeah unfortunately my feed to my Amazon Device stopped working also.
I just got one a few days back... Absolutely love it I'm about to buy 2 more 🤣🤣🤦♂️😁
Thank you excellent setup and demonstration.
Glad it was helpful! 🙏
Thank you for taking the time for making this video 👌
First class 💯
Very impressed with the camera but the microphone was not that strong.
There seems to be some aggressive noise cancellation going on. Thanks for watching! 🙏
Wished this had HomeKit support. Been looking for some sort of flood lights to set up. But seems like a cool camera. Thank you for the review!!
WISHED this thing had HomeKit support too, it’s otherwise a great solution though. Thanks for watching!🙏
Why is having homekit so important? New to this

Great review as well my friend! We're buying a new house soon and I'm definitely considering eufy as my go-to for security cameras.
Thanks for stopping by Dustin! Eufy is a great solution, but hoping they add HomeKit compatibility to their most recent offerings.
Thanks for this test. A year later we still can't connect it to the Home Base2 !

Hello, is it possible to tilt the floodlight upwards? Because I want to illuminate the upper floor 🙂
Good review Rey G
This would be a good security light for your spot in the 🇵🇭 😉Thanks for stopping by bro!
YES!!!! Been looking for a ceiling mount, now how is it with 5ghrz wifi?
The camera connects at 2.4GHz.
What is the detection trigger distance?
Well for the price point since your not completely satisfied with the Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro What do you recommend???
Maybe you can help I can’t get mine to connect to my wifi ?? I think it might be because it’s trying to connect to the 5 gh when I believe it should be connecting to the 2.4 gh ??

Thanks for the helpful insight into what’s included in the UK market 👍

Yes, there are settings in the Eufy app to set the floodlight and brightness for different conditions. Thanks for watching 🙏

Darn that pesky space bar! My graphic design eyes failed me on that, I was more annoyed by the missing logo file… the WRKS_HOMEKIT.EPS
@@ReyG_HKSH yes, I could live with the typo if only the logo was there.
Hi, thinking of getting this camera.
New to Eufy ad I have ring.
What is homekit?
Do the recordings go to a cloud based service like ring door bell?
Does the camera work on WiFi?
HomeKit is Apple’s smart home platform.
So you skipped the Bluetooth issue. How did you solve that?

What did you use to extend it out
Thank you. I have all apple in my house. Any HomeKit ability yet? Still really happy? I’m very interested
No HomeKit but, the native app does mention no HomeKit support “yet” so maybe still a possibility? 🤷♂️

Another viewer in the UK mentioned everything is included in the box.
@@ReyG_HKSH I wasn’t sure of that as I’d ever seen it in an unboxing review. I guess it is packed inside the white hinged part.
Any junction box fit on those cameras and where can I buy it ? Thank you 🙏
You can pick up a junction box at any home improvement store. I got the one in this video from Home Depot. Thanks for watching! 🙏
They need to make that in 4K.....
I only got 2 cables from an outside light, brown and blue wire, would it still work ?
It should work, but if you’re unsure it would be best to consult an electrician. Thanks for watching 🙏
Do you know if is coming with the junction box?
Not in the NA market but it might in yours.
Omg ..........Help I want a Security Eufy Camera System Working on My Pc. Windows 10 11 Or 7.......... Not A Phone ...Help ?
Do you need two of these cameras in order to cover the front and back of your home?
At least two if your home is perfectly square, then mount them at opposite corners of your home.
Anyone have a discount code? This one expired on 8/22.
$50 off coupon available now on the Eufy website! Only 13 hours left before it expires.
Hello, I recently bought the camera and noticed that it vibrates briefly for 2-3 seconds at night between 2 and 5 a.m. Is that normal? Is that the same with you?
I haven’t noticed that behavior.
Could you use the USB port as the main power supply? Is this auto record?
The USB port is for setup only, this floodlight needs to be hardwired. Thanks for watching 🙏
Does it support WPA2/WPA 3 wifi standards?
Is the wifi connection with the router secure is what I exactly want to know
Dude you are talking about iOS iPhones it's a bunch of companies out there it don't make that available
Not HomeKit, sad
VERY sad 😭
The audio is crap huh?

The audio was terrible on the camera

Contact the company they will send you a replacement but you will have to send in your current one.
Not HomeKit, not interested
I hear ya’ and don’t necessarily disagree. 🤞they bring support in the future.
