When they don't inform that the camera is operating and have a lame excuse as to why they didn't then they are ignoring the training they had in order to use them.

Even if we give them the benefit of the doubt and believe they didn’t know, by denying the existence of their body worn camera policy, it can only mean they’ve always failed to comply with a policy that they’re obliged to follow, therefore they must’ve recorded thousands of people without informing them.
It's a shame all that 'suspicion' is not directed towards real crime, my home got attacked, windows put through, the police had no suspicion and very little interest !

@@ReggiePhoto He has to tell you is recording because we have a right not to be spied on by our gov which they are employed by if no laws broken and as you said it's policy etc, which is something you could have accused him of and anyone else who doesn't inform you of their recording you. Comes under article8 human rights act and you can have Investigatory Powers Tribunal investigate further along with a lawyer if you want one but not needed at that stage.
This just proves that the training and policies that they swore to uphold went in one ear and out the other, a total disregard for a member of the public's rights and their written policies from the college of policing.

In 2012 the building required a L2.5 million recladding; in 2018 interior spaces were refurbished and security upgrades made. Evidently if a wonderful person in public with camera and transparency are a security concern, those 2018 security upgrades made with public money were a waste.
