- Join me for a bumper hour-long tour of Britain's greatest seaside city: Brighton! Located on a huge stretch of pebbles on England's south coast, Brighton has gone from small fishing village to modern-day metropolis on the back of a huge tourist boom in the Regency and Victorian eras, an industry that it still thrives in to this day!
On our walk around Brighton, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including Brighton Palace Pier, Brighton Beach, the Royal Albion Hotel, the Queens Hotel, Quadrophenia Alley, Brighton Town Hall, The Lanes, Brighton Pavilion, Brighton Dome, North Laine, Komedia Brighton, Kensington Gardens, Sydney Street, Brighton Railway Station, former Hanover Chapel Burial Gardens, St. Nicholas' Church, Churchill Square, Brighton Jubilee Clock Tower, St. Paul's Church, Brighton Promenade, the English Channel, Grand Brighton Hotel, Brighton Metropole Hotel, i360 Observation Tower, Regency Square, and the remains of the West Pier.

Good evening! And welcome to this bumper hour-long walk around the great seaside city of Brighton - once a small fishing settlement, and today one of England’s favourite coastal resorts, and a major metropolis home to almost 300,000 people!
There’s so much history to see in and around Brighton, just a morsel of which we managed to visit on our epic tour of the city! But if you’re ever in Brighton for a full day - do take a longer walk along the seafront, where you can take a ride on the Electric Railway, and even a little further out of the city, see the spectacular chalk cliffs that line England’s south coast!
This is the best historical survey of Brighton that I have found on the Web. Many congratulations to its creator.
I have just watched a walk through Brighton it was amazing.Brighton is my most favourite place in the World.
Brighton is great, proud to call it my home, we're green friendly too which is a bonus
I was born there and couldn't wait to get out. All the drug dealers, the mess, homeless living in the doorways, graffiti, awful council that is only interested in bike lanes, etc.
I have a story for every corner of that Town and Hove. Havent been back properly in 10+ years and I miss it so much. The narration is honestly very very well done. Thanks for being the perfect guide for my nostalgic trip.
thankyou for your brilliant narration and terrific expression. Wow. It added to the fantastic video. Thankyou. I wish you read the news. Why cant other people express , narrate like you have. Cheers, John (Australia)
Brilliant video, I really enjoyed it Thank you very much🙏
A lovely video. Thanks. Having visited Brighton many, many times (lived in West Sussex for 40 years) I so enjoyed this opportunity to revisit from afar
Great video and narration. Thank you
I ❤ Brighton city!!!!!
Perfect. Haven't missed anything in this documentary.
My appreciation and regards.
Well I live in Brighton and I didn’t know most of that so I really must go check out those places.
Thank you very much for your video. I love to see and get information about Brighton. The best is i can enjoy the walking and improving my english at the same time!
I really love your video, I traveled to Brighton in april 2012, a beautiful city, greetings from Santiago de Chile :D
Nice live video walk of the town of Brighton I enjoyed it can't wait to see more tomorrow. I like the medieval buildings and houses. Very beautiful and historical the town of Brighton is. Your history lessons are always great and your walks are always enjoyable. Have a great day greetings from Canada 😀
Thankyou such a wonderful video really enjoyed it.
Just watched the Brighton tour, found it outstanding, due to content and information, can't wait for the next one 👍
I love a town with a pier and I've not visited the one in Brighton since I was little. Maybe a trip is in order. Thank you for sharing and providing so much information.
Thanks for this absolutely brilliant video of Brighton I loved it. I learn many new things love this channel
Nice walking tour. I like it very much.
Another great walking tour, enjoyable commentary the cherry on top. Six years since we were in Brighton, really enjoyed the walk bringing back some wonderful memories.
Great little walk around my home town. I love it here. (Apart from the 'tagging' graffiti all over the place. There is, however, a lot of brilliant graffiti wall art around - just not the taggers).
Fantastic work..... absolutely enjoyed 👍
Excellent walk and commentary. Thank you👍
yes, indeed a bumper long tour
I was born and bred in Brighton; it’s a ‘foam town’, where they make good beer….
Great commentary. I lived there until I moved to Southampton area. Great city. Thanks
Wow! One dump to another.
Nostalgia ❤️
Id show you a real tour lol. Love Brighton more to it though. Great video 💯👊
You are not quite right with the time ball, the timeball was dropped at 'midday' everyday to tell mariners the time so they could set their clocks to greenwich mean time, it went out of fashion when radio technology advance.
And you went to Brighton on the Brighton Belle Pullman.
Excellent as usual, when did you film this my wife has noticed all the shorts and Tee shirts. She reckons it’s last summer.
Who cares pointless comment
Nice video. I miss Brighton. BTW komedia is pronounced comedia.
let´s has gone south !
What date was this.. I used to play with coloured Brighton beach pebbles - on the driveway of an uncle's house in Bridge of Allan, Scotland. They'd been trucked up there by a previous owner! Narration added post-production, the wise thing to do avoiding motor noise - though losing a little ambiance - overall often preferable.
People actually drank pints of seawater 😮
ABBA made a comeback a couple of months ago after nearly 40 years. They released an album called "Voyage" with brand new songs.
Hate to be pedantic, but Brighton is not a "city", but merely a "town" that is part of the city of "Brighton and Hove".
If you go on the Royal Pier, do you get a peerage. 😂

Awesome when was this filmed?
probably last summer or summer before that, its been raining and very windy here for the past few weeks, its definitely not recent.
Obesity appears as one of Brighton’s main social and personal problems: the sheer wanton size of some of those manifesting their presence in the Laines recalls to mind the debate as to whether overweight airline travellers should pay for the adjoining seats they occupy. Can’t they go without eating once in a while!
It’s in the title: 2021!
Oi what happened in the alley 😉😂

Disappointed you did not go around the pier.
Why go to Brighton when you could go to Cornwall
Stop calling Brighton Pier. It's name is the Palace Pier!
Shame it’s outdated and the graffiti all around the city say a lot. But hopefully things are changing.
Things are getting worse unfortunately. Crime rates getting dangerously high and brightons getting dirtier
