@@pj1043 best town in the uk,full of students, criminals and tourists, half the population of Kensington and Chelsea moved there after the grenfell Tower tragedy.
Come in for a 3 year later comment that the sewer tour is one of the biggest attractions now. It's quite fascinating. On a sad note, there is a fee to get on the pier, just a quid and only in the busiest months but it' still worth it, in my view. From a 20-year B&H resident, still the best place to live in the UK for people of an open mind.
I lived in Brighton from 1975 to 1979 while I was studying in Sussex. I have also been around all over England, Wales and Scotland. However I think the best place is Brighton. The people are very loving and care for you the atmosphere is great it is a very lively town .. I had my best 5 years of life I still cherish. When ever I visit I make sure to visit Brighton. All the friends are gone but I still enjoy the stroll cherishing memories of my younger days . Brighton is like my second home I love it
A couple of years ago, having lived a bit up north, but mostly down south, my family decided to go to Brighton for a few days. I wanted to get a feel, as I like to explore, and give my family the impression that I know where we’re going. Your video was fantastic. My kids complained. They didn’t like the walking. But I’ve got to say that I had a huge head start because of this video. Thank you. 🎉❤
I lived in Brighton for a couple of years back in 1997. I've got so many good memories from that lovely place. A little bit of my heard it'll always be there. Thanks for bringing me back to one of best places in the UK. Cheers!
We noticed lots of sleeping rough folk when we were there last week, what amazed me was every rough sleeper we saw has a tent, and lots of duvets, and pillows …..still wouldn’t want to swap places , but just saying it was surprising to see the “posh” rough sleepers xxx

There was a circus in Brighton when we were on Holiday but we never found it the signs just keep taking us round in circles. Since then I visit Brighton when I'm on holiday down the coast in Eastbourne, always try to fit my holiday when Surrey cricket team are at home at the County cricket ground in Hove. Brings back memories and want to get down sometime with my college mate. This was my great uncle and auntie's favourite resort when the lived in London in the late 1950's/early 60's before they move to Hull.
Been on holidays in Brighton many times already and I plan on many more and I feel you've captured it beautifully. Brighton really caught my heart with its atmosphere. @bill8791 just got back from there and got a cod burger, which turned out to be three fish fingers and a cocktail to go with it that probably only had one shot of rum in it £25. Really nice place though.
The last time I went Brighton ,that skyline was not there, but use to go most summer day trip to Brighton with family because the station to go to catch a train and connection was easiest ,east Croydon or Norwood junction. about a hour to Brighton , love the exit coming out of Brighton all the shops , and smell of the sea and amusement arcades, and fish and chips and Brighton rocks and post cards. Worked underneath this pier from 89 to 94 i think it was, used to be cast steel replaced with 50ft bridge girders which were originally black, the squidgy board means it lacks a box section stool below it, the main reason the centre of the waltzer fell through the decking onto the steel below, had to rebuild the deck around it, fun times.
Thank you Tim for doing this video of Brighton, I live down the road in Worthing, Brighton is so diverse , love it . The North Lanes are amazing ! Lots of different shops and stalls , always buzzing . Did the eye 360 on a very clear day and again amazing , although I don't do heights so a friend had to take photo's for me LOL
Hi Tim ! Brighton looked really good i haven't been in ages . The burger looked yummy. Great vlog as always thanks for sharing with us. Love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
Beautiful. I'm living in Suffolk, but I'm really an East Sussex girl. Apparently, a mate told me ( who lives in Hastings, I know this is Brighton, but anyhoe) that the council has ome up with seagull proof rubbish bags lol. I lived in Brighton in 2002 on Kemp Town High Street. It's lovely in Brighton, hoping to move back
Great Vid Tim we used to go to Brighton quite a lot before we bought our caravan in Great Yarmouth it’s a nice place but I think Great Yarmouth is much calmer to walk round and it’s a nicer seafront look forward to the double lives this weekend mate
I loved your video, very informative. I spent my holidays there when I was a lot younger and continued my visits there many many times. I live in Bali now but hopefully one day I shall return to Brighton,Your video made my day!
East Sussex is my husband Peter Nelson's home county. We are now in Melbourne Australia and I would love to take him back for a cheap and cheerful visit sometime. Maybe in a year or two. Brighton looks lovely and the beautiful old buildings speak to me in a big way. Hi to any of his relatives there.
I visited Brighton for a few days. The whole town is full of hills that always seem to be going up. The seafront lacks the arcades and shops that Southend has and the houses are tiny.
Great video Tim,really nice to see Brighton again. I used to live near Haywards Heath which isn't too far from Brighton back in 1999 to 2004,so I used to go on regular trips to Brighton. Thanks for this trip down memory lane Tim. Tim you should do a separate video for Seaside Food Reviews it could turn out good 😆😆
@@WalkWithMeTim LOL! definitely but just have to watch out for them seagulls because the second you step out of the chippy or cafe at the coast they are gathering to formulate their plans 😆😆😆 Operation Dive Bomb!
Think it was about 1972 when I left Brighton for the last time. Now I´m 68 and have never been back there. I had heard from friends that it was not the same and it´s to be expected right. Yet I used to love Brighton calmness back then. As a child I could ride down through Dyke Road and the Clock Tower to fish on the West Pier or buy worms on Palace Pier. Palace Pier had very different entertainment, you could have your future read for a penny in a Theater arcade box. They have several of them with animated puppets that would come to life. They only had a Mat slide that went round a tower and it scared me as it hanged over the edge of the side, not very safe! I can see that many trees have gone and the people are too many. I recognized The Grand and the Aquarium. Those boat shaped breakers were not there though. I have been frightened to visit, due to lost memories and change. So thank you for the film. Yet Brighton is not a City! Unless they have built a Cathedral since 1955 Not shore I would call that sculpture art though?!
I’m cracking up at your comparison of Venice Beach to Brighton. I’ve never been to Brighton, but as a Southern Californian, I have been to Venice Beach many, many times. I can tell you, the two don’t even come close. Brighton is lovely, Venice Beach, not so much, lol. Thank you for another wonderful video. ❤
Just back from Brighton last week went all the places you went to in this vlog , we were lucky to visit the sea life building inside is lovely , was sunny 28 degrees and a lot busier , good to see lots of people in the water when we were there xxx
Thanks for sharing this video I’ve never been to Brighton at all so sharing this video if we ever do because I go to a day centre if we ever do go to Brighton again this has help me see what Brighton is like
Hi Tim, the drain in the side of the groin is a storm drain, they used to do trips up it. I think it's a H+S issue now. Didn't see you touch on the volks railway to the east of the pier or the marina. I had family build that, family that worked on the volks, family that worked in the old market up London road. That's right I'm from Brighton born and bred. The pubs and clubs set into the seaside walk are some of the links the old prince regent used to use from the pavilion, there are disused tunnels all over Brighton for home to get around. Years ago I worked in the coop department store in London road (now student accommodation like 80% of Brighton) and the store room was some of the tunnels. Just some added info for you
So nice to hear non celebrities being interviewed I’m so tired of celebrity culture which seems to be the new religion..let’s have more ordinary peoples lives looked at..great RUclips..thanks
What a brilliant tour, all the sights without the hordes of visitors. We visit Brighton every year, my grandparents had a boarding house in Kemptown in the 60's and my siblings and I used to spend our summers here. I can remember there being turnstiles at the entrance to the pier, in the days when you had to pay to go on there.. Looking forward to our next visit in September when we're staying in an apartment overlooking the beach. I cannot wait! Thankyou so much for such an interesting tour

Hi Tim ! Brighton looked really good i haven't been in ages . The burger looked yummy. Great vlog as always thanks for sharing with us. Love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
It was! thanks Tracy for giving it a watch
Brilliant tour of Brighton 👏🤩!! Love your videos, they're wonderful! Great work!!
Thanks so much! 😊
It's lovely in Brighton, hoping to move back
seagull proof rubbish bags I need some!
Love to see the city I live in and born in getting more recognised ☺️
:-)
You dont go out ya hermit 🤣🤣
Good job Tim Brighton I been to Brighton a lot off time hope your family doing well Gary
Great Vid Tim we used to go to Brighton quite a lot before we bought our caravan in Great Yarmouth it’s a nice place but I think Great Yarmouth is much calmer to walk round and it’s a nicer seafront look forward to the double lives this weekend mate
Thanks Ross
Off to Brighton in September looking forward to it , and more so now I seen the presentation 👍🏻
Hope you enjoy it! Steve , thanks for watching , why not subscribe

I loved your video, very informative. I spent my holidays there when I was a lot younger and continued my visits there many many times. I live in Bali now but hopefully one day I shall return to Brighton,Your video made my day!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you! I've been to Brighton once and your video remind me those wonderful time!
You're welcome
East Sussex is my husband Peter Nelson's home county. We are now in Melbourne Australia and I would love to take him back for a cheap and cheerful visit sometime. Maybe in a year or two. Brighton looks lovely and the beautiful old buildings speak to me in a big way. Hi to any of his relatives there.
thanks for like walking videos. and salute your hard work. bro.
Glad you like them!
2nd-time watching it Tim. It's just a beautiful beach. So much there.,
Yes there is and when u watch it twice you see stuff u didn't see the first time
Yes, that's the truth, Tim. I have noticed a couple of things I didn't see the first time.👍
I visited Brighton for a few days. The whole town is full of hills that always seem to be going up. The seafront lacks the arcades and shops that Southend has and the houses are tiny.
My great uncle ken was an artist and lived in brighton ♡
I love Brighton and i LOVE THE LANES ❤🎉😎
Nice to be able to picture the setting for the Roy Grace novels
😉
Great video Tim,really nice to see Brighton again. I used to live near Haywards Heath which isn't too far from Brighton back in 1999 to 2004,so I used to go on regular trips to Brighton. Thanks for this trip down memory lane Tim. Tim you should do a separate video for Seaside Food Reviews it could turn out good 😆😆
Glad you enjoyed it Andy , now there is an idea
@@WalkWithMeTim LOL! definitely but just have to watch out for them seagulls because the second you step out of the chippy or cafe at the coast they are gathering to formulate their plans 😆😆😆 Operation Dive Bomb!
@@FootieFan2024 I know and I thought they were BAD in Gt Yarmouth
Unless they have built a Cathedral since 1955 Not shore I would call that sculpture art though?!
i also recommend tying the greek euros near h&m and mall bit ! lots of good food there lol. the hippie/crytals shops r rlly nice too
I’m cracking up at your comparison of Venice Beach to Brighton. I’ve never been to Brighton, but as a Southern Californian, I have been to Venice Beach many, many times. I can tell you, the two don’t even come close. Brighton is lovely, Venice Beach, not so much, lol. Thank you for another wonderful video. ❤
Brilliant video here mate. Never come across your channel before, but I’m definitely gonna stick around. Keep it up man!
Welcome aboard Joe, thanks make sure you subscribe too and check out some of my other vids :-)

Very enjoyable Tim, my Father's Family live in Brighton so was a regular visitor there in my youth.
Thanks for watching Graham
Just some added info for you
thanks Steven! ;-)
i have been their 7 or 8 times but dint see some hidden places. Royal Family house. etcc.. thanks for like this videos
you're welcome

Great video, really enjoyed watching, was there on Saturday and did not want to leave and go home 🏡
Glad you enjoyed
Thankyou so much for such an interesting tour
wow thanks Carol
This is a great video about a beautiful city.
We agree!
