- A terrible accident turns this rescue into a nightmare! The first kitten was easy, the second kitten was easy, and things started doing sideways on the third one and MUCH worse, on the 4th one! The rescue doesn't end there, so please continue watching. This video is stressful to watch, but I promise it will have a happy ending 🥰

My stomach was in knots seeing the footage of that stuck kitten. I was on the verge of tears.

It is just amazing how Cosmos bounced back from it as it nothing just happened! Animals are just amazing!
They crushed it by pulling the rope, and then tried to crush it again by pulling it back. Kittens are so fragile. I know they are doing their best but I wish they had been able to put out a food trap instead. The very first screech should have told them they were crushing the kitten.

What an absolutely terrifying rescue!! OMG I couldn't breathe while that baby was stuck!! I can't imagine being there and being so helpless!!! You guys did an amazing job!! Such beautiful kitties!!!
I see something different, so it was more animal cruelty than animal rescue - so if nothing better came out of 1200 suggestions, then it's very sad. Luckily the kittens survived, but it was by far the worst animal rescue I've ever seen.

Edit: it was a very scary and stressful situation but they are doing what they can. And I'm glad all the kittens are okay

@@christiang.9485 ok but they only have ONE hour to rescue 4 of the kittens. 2 were easily brought, 1 was a little stuck, and the last almost died and/or suffocated. Their jobs are why kittens and cats to this day live up to their population. I wonder if YOU have rescued one before without harming it.

My heart stopped when he started crying in pain, I can only imagine what yall felt in the moment.
The surprise was not that they managed to get all 4 kitties and mama, that was a given. The surprise was to hear Loreta address Eldad as babe! 😵
I was in tears when I saw Cosmos stuck like that! His cries were absolutely, gutwrenchingly, heartbreaking. Then my female cat, Tiggie, came running to see what she could do for the baby. I had to turn the sound off for both of us.
So happy he was able to be saved! The whole time I was thinking, just pull it hard and fast off him. Thank goodness it turned out well.

That is one of the most difficult rescues I have ever seen. Cutting animals out of walls is childs play by comparison. Wonderfully done.
Definitely most challenging, and we just got extremely lucky there... it could have turned to be a complete disaster. I learned from it, and hopefully the next one will be easier :-)
@@hopeforpaws As I said in a comment above, you might want to look at having a chimney brush at your disposal for situations like this.

Like some people are immune to snakebites Loreta is immune to kitten bites.
I've been bit and scratched lots of times, but one time my cat was super stressed and bit me (nearly to the bone) with such force that it brought me to my knees and I got nauseous and almost fainted. I actually had to lay down while I caught my breath. I feel for you, Loreta. BRING GLOVES!!!!

You could see him dying, slipping away... I'm so grateful that things turned out okay, they almost didn't. Your ability to stay calm and think straight in emergencies is phenomenal.
Stay calm and think straight? Are you kidding!? That guy is always in panic mode during rescues. Just listen to the way he talks. He wants to be their leader, but he has no leadership qualities whatsoever and totally confused. I'm a born leader, but I'm willing to follow anyone who knows what they're doing, otherwise, I would tell them to step aside. If I was there, he would have certainly stepped aside, no two ways about it.

JoAnn is a pro. Loreta is an animal lover but an amateur rescuer and careless. She wants to be Eldard or JoAnn but they have years of experience and have knack for understanding the right time to grab the animals. Loreta is taking too many risks. This is why you see Eldard giving instructions/warnings to her more.

Oh the poor, poor baby that got himself stuck under the ball. My heart absolutely broke for him every time he cried. Thank God you were able to rescue them all!
A complete nightmare! On round 2, when he turned and faced the ball, I knew we would be OK because the head wouldn't have squeezed through... phew :-)

I agree. I was so stressed out and I had to remind myself that not all rescues are smooth and sometimes you just have to do whatever you can to get the animal and give them a better life than living in some pipes. I’m interested to see if the last kitten grows up and see if he’ll be a scampy little troublemaker. 😸

Mama was truly amazing. Of course, she has no idea of the dangers of a construction zone - but she sure found a place where no predators could hurt her babies! Not to mention that they looked so healthy - she kept the clean and well-fed. Nice to see her accepting affection after being caught. And how wonderful for her to be able to relax now and know that her babies are safe and sound. Hope she's adopted into a wonderful home.
She tried and she did good but the place and situation wasn't the best, I'm glad mama and kittens got the help they needed

She probably is up on her tetanus shots. Most animal rescuers are very careful to keep current. Anyone can get bitten.
@@seattlecathy tetanus isn’t the issue, rabies is. Many veterinarians and rescuers get prophylactic rabies shots.
@@StillPooh62 : It's not rabies; cats have special difficult bacteria in their mouths that make a cat bite particularly dangerous. The Director of Infectious Diseases told me so when I ended up in the hospital a couple of times from cat bites.

Shoutout to the construction people who made sure the flower family got safely out of the site! I know they gave tight time restraints, but they didn’t have to let anyone even try. So happy that little furry family is now safe, thank you for the rescue! "Died" because they were killing it with that rope. Rescues sometimes turn into destruction of life with all these ropes and balls and nets. They crushed him.
@@LadyIarConnacht In the end, everything worked out fine. The kitten would have certainly died if it stayed in that pipe. It's easy to judge when one's not there to come up with plans to help these animals out of precarious situations. I, for one, think they are doing amazing things every hour of every day. This was a tense rescue, but all's well that ends well.
My admiration for Loreta! I hope the best for her five cat bites, please see the doctor! A few years ago I had to separate my two fighting cats. On this occasion the tom-cat bit my right hand and my family docotor told me to have an operation in order to avoid inflammation - all is okay (and they told me that a doctor they knew lost a hand when he separated his two fighting dogs!).

I had to skip ahead a few seconds, my heart couldn't take it. And I know how much a cat scratch and bites freaking hurt from ecperience so I was also imagining Loretta's pain. I hope she did end up with any infection. But I 'm glad I stayed til the end! Holy moly. What a tense situation. And a lovely resolution for another fur family.
@@hopeforpaws words can't express how amazing y'all are at what y'all do for to rescue animals and how far y'all go just to save not just one but multiple different animals. By the way the, the way the ball was on the cat and causing it distress and the way the ball was on the cat had me in tears.
I can't imagine how stressful it was! Only having an hour?! And poor poor Cosmos could have died. This rescue was a miracle, and so is everyone involved in it. 🥰🙏
The kittens are so cute. You are doing something awespme that most people wouldnt think of. It is sad how lots of you rescues are to animals people abandon. Animals have needs just as much as humans and you are fulfilling their needs

This was THE MOST stressful thing I've ever seen the pained cries from the kitten absolutely wrenched my heart that poor little baby oh my god ;;

I had lined up a cup of coffee, some dates and an orange, but this was so nerve wrecking, that the dates almost got stock in my throat, amazing it all ended well.Not that I consider the videos entertainment or movies, I just enjoy watching animals rescued, knowing you rescue so many more than the ones, who makes it to youtube.Thank you for everything you do, also because it arises awarness about animals and inspire others to act.

A black and red plaid blanket just like that my cat was wrapped up in before and after they were euthanized because they had really serious cancer, and I still have that blanket to this day. He only passed away a couple months ago but it feels like an eternity. Happy you ended up getting the kittens out, and got the mom too. And I bet them, and the mom got adopted to awesome families. 😊💕
Wow the team did an amazing job with that rescue. I hope Loretta was OK. There is nothing that young lady won't do for an animal in need! 🌻 I am very proud to be a monthly donor. It is always gratifying to see exactly how the funds are used. 💖
Wow, you guys were really under the gun with this rescue. Hats off to Loretta for not letting go of the kitten when it bit her. I know she was in a lot of pain. I was biting my nails watching this. They sure are beautiful kitties. Are they blue cream calicos?

@@DARWINZOO Unfortunately as someone that volunteers with an animal rescue charity yes I can. Frankly we have been treated like a costly nuisance at best more times than I can count. Yes that does include being given ultimatums to remove the "problem" in an unreasonable amount of time so they can get back to making money.

This was too much on my heart. I was literally screaming and crying into the phone “PULL THE BALL ELDAD” the fact that you had 1 hour had already stressed me out.
It helped reduce the stress that I had the sound off. I had to turn off the sound because anytime my Oskar hears a cat/kitten in distress, he jumps up to see if I'm causing it. He's put holes in me before in 'defense' of others. The first thing I have to do when taking one of my other 3 cats to the vet is lock Oskar in the bathroom.
Lynn Martz the distress screams quite literally took me over the edge, then the little terrified face. Oskar is a protector, love on him 🥰

I recently rescued a 9 week old kitten all by myself, after 3-4 weeks knowing of her existence. This video makes me sympathize till my heart hurts.
The 4th kitten, the boy Cosmos, was in incredible pain starting at 11:05, and then at 11:40, and at 12:10 the agony in his face was transparent. I've never heard or seen a creature endure that much fear and pain.
I'm glad it turned out so well for all. Has anyone been in that kind of fear and pain...
