    Did you try going "deeper" in the end? I would like to buy but if it's hard to change the battery pack DIY I probably won't. Those li-ions will die in a year easily if they have self discharge issues in my opinion. How were things in the past with Denon bluetooth speakers? Did they ever addressed issues with older models and did some firmware updates or they don't give updated on their products?

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  6 лет назад +2

      Battery swap will be difficult and probably not worth the risk.

    • @ranvedsticon2304
      @ranvedsticon2304 6 лет назад

      Well that kinda sucks. I saw they had some firmware updates for their other gear but couldn't find anything on Envaya line. They should really do something for speakers. I like it as it is with few of the flaws it has but googled about the old envayas and see bunch of them stopped working after some time I think I might pass on 250 . Or at least wait a year and ask for a review then :D

    Auch hier kann man mal wieder sehen, dass sich Lautsprechermembranen bewegen müssen, um Schallwellen zu erzeugen. Nettes Video, jetzt weiß ich etwas besser Bescheid über meinen Speaker, ohne ihn selbst auseinendergenommen zu haben, danke Tony! Ich hab geahnt, dass er größere Treiber haben muss als mein Flip 4, weil doch einiges mehr an tiefen Tönen heraus kommt. Komisch, dass Denon schreibt, dass darin 40 mm Treiber verbaut sind. Daumen hoch für's Video!

      @@wolow1zard741 Honestly that is rather misleading though it is true. Reason being most other speakers use 3.7 Volt batteries where the Denon udes 7.2 Volt. Wich means it more or less has a battery equal to a 6000 mah 3.7 Volt battery, when comparing to other speakers, smartphones powerbanks etc.

  • @nicholaschanvn

    Denon Envaya Bluetooth speakers are equipped with a Battery Safety Modewhich prevents the battery from being damaged by deeply discharging it. If the Envaya speaker enters this mode, it will be switched off and switching on again is prevented.
    To deactivate this mode, simply connect the supplied USB cable to a power adapter and charge the battery for at least one hour. A few minutes after starting the charging process, the Envaya can be powered on normally and used as usual.

    Is it still IP67 after only removing the grill?

  • @olahindmo7212
    @olahindmo7212 6 лет назад +4

    Amazing that it can sound that good without a tweeter...and pressed steel simple chassis for the drivers (i was not impressed by the build of the drivers) and simple contacts (soldered contacts gives better transfer than car connectors) is something that generally should be avoided but on such small drivers it probably does not matter much. I would expect forged aluminum chassis at least and maybe some kind of cone knob or something out of the ordinary. If i remember right you thought the onkyo x6 was a close competitor to Denon? In this video ruclips.net/video/l_w8Beg6SPEA/видео.htmlny side by side between those two coming :) ?
    Oh, since you buy speakers for thousands of Euro, wouldn't it be a good idea to spend 50$ on a good screwdriver set before you pop a membrane with that horribly long screwdriver :) it hurt my soul seeing you pry off the grille with a screwdriver. There are great plastic tools for this on eBay almost for free. The one's you use to pry off phone screens. Thin flexible and slide in to cut the glue without risk of damaging the grille (that screwdriver must have made marks 😨)

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  6 лет назад +2

      Just because I own expensive speakers it doesn't mean that I'm buying everything no matter what it is or how much it costs.
      I`ve never broken a single speaker while disassembling it so why spend more money on tools if you can invest it in more expensive speakers;)

      Speaker Toni haha I can't wait to see it! I check your channel alot to see if it's up yet!
      I really want to see what you did for 400 dollars. I became obsessed with building my own. It took me three tries until I finally got something I was happy with. I found it so hard to keep it cheap and do what I wanted. So it ended up costing like 6 or 700 euro in components and the first prototype was only 150 euro.
