As a 4-String, the Streamer Stage I is a neck-through with a PJ configuration. Aside from that, you always have the option of having a bass custom built. What is better depends largely on your personal taste. An LX will have a punchier tone with more low-mid growl, while the Stage I will have richer low end fundamentals and more sustain. A lot of what Andy plays for our demos are either standard bass lines or parts from his solo work.
Hi there! I don't know where that information might have come up, but no, we still have the Pro Series Streamer models in production. Thanks for watching!
Man, this bass is a beauty! I like the Streamer shape best of all Warwicks. Gotta check what this one costs. I just got a RockBass Corvette Basic and am very happy with it. Of course it is the low end, but is very nice to play. I've been a fan of Warwick since they became popular in the 80s.
I do really love this bass. Even the sound pickup. With this bass, I can use passive for just gig and active for live performance. The best. But I do have a question to ask regarding this bass. I played as left hand bassist, so how much does a warwick streamer LX4 cost if I buy a new left hand one? A friend of mine who was a warwick endorser from Philippines say it's about Php 65,000. Any comments or ideas or suggestions? 😳
Would this bass be good for let's say Victor Wooten style music, I'm looking for my 4th bass and something that is similar to a Fodera monarch, without the outrageous price tag, Active P/J style with 24 frets and comfort body
hey man i wanna say all day i have been watching your videos, i just recently have been looking at warwick and im very impressed and looking into buying a streamer model for my new studio bass mine right now doesnt do the job, but im looking at the stage I or II. but i really like this one was well the LX b/c of the PJ pick-ups. but i want a thru-neck so for a studio bass which would be better the stages or lx oh i loved your walking with that 12 bar blue! what was that in key of F and what song
I have a question… I have been offered a Warwick bass, the serial number comes to a 2001 vampyre.. it is a natural wood, and the bass featured here is like this bass, but- the pickup configuration is different- 4 knobs, no pre amp switches, and while the tuners and tail are gold, the tailpiece is also like the one showed…. I have looked at hundreds of Warwick basses, and I have not seen the pickup configuration like the bass I am offered- is it a fake? Doesn’t sound or play like one a fake…l. What is it??
Hoping someone can help me here. I Seen this bass in my local guitar shop for £1699, they are pretty hopeless at giving me information regarding the bass all they were able to tell me is that this bass is Warwick streamer lx 4. I can buy a brand new Warwick gps streamer lx4 from andertons for much less depending on the finish. All I want to know is this bass the same as the Warwick gps steamer lx ?
No, this is not a gps lx4. By the time this video was issued, gps series were made in Korea. This is a german made instrument that you would call a « custom shop » bass in 2019 catalogue. Today gps are made in germany for much less and main difference is body wood (i think) . Can’t tell if there is a huge difference between this bass and a today gps ! Hope i helped ;)
@@bassman3235 Do you still need to use a battery when you switch the setting to passive mode? I ask as on the manual it says it just bypasses the active pre-amp and deactivates the tone controls? (Total noob here and new to bass)
Everything about this bass is a system, a package, or a technology. Love these basses but it’s wood with metal strings across it. Let’s not overthink this.
Mark Keane Yes, Warwick had to receive a license by Stuart Spector. Spector should still should be collecting licensing fees considering they copy his design.
murilo ninj Im not going to complain as i own two Warwick $$ 4-5 string, and the're the nicest bass's i've ever owned/played. I do love the Spector design and look, and would like to try a mid level quality one to try out.

andy irvine is absolutely horrible. terrible playing, no style. i dont understand why this guy is endorsed, can live as a pro musician, and can choose freely from basses of this high quality
TheNawshit show me some videos of YOU playing better! If you can do better I applaud your efforts. Sure there are other players out there better and also worse that make money and have endorsements. Show us what you have. I appreciate anyone making a valid effort.
@@Naddoniz Did one of the tonewood deniers viciously attack you? They can't even tolerate questions regarding wood. Maybe they should just plug their ears and close their eyes when all the specs are listed.

Nice clear, deep sound in the start.
Absolutly awesome!!!! I love that tone
That's an absolutely beautiful bass. Wow....
Great bass the Streamer LX. I have one myself and love it. It's an extremely versatile and well built bass.
That bass has great tone.
Waiting for the new Streamer LX 5 ltd. 2018.... it will be my first Warwick bass.... I can't wait :-)
I wish every guitar/bass had an adjustable nut like that. It'd make just about any instrument playable with little to no need for a visit to a tech.
Tim B. Not true lol

Is it possible to get a 5 string version of this bass with the P/J configuration rather than the J/J?
Warwick uploaded a photo a few days ago on their facebook page showing a 5 string PJ streamer LX.
I know I'm 3 years late, but the 2006 limited edition Dirty blonde is a P/MM with the ability to run as a single coil. I think it came in 5 strings.
Kind of hard to do a 5 string P pickup. You need to have a longer coil on one side, which will sound different.
Oh man the 5 string with the high gloss finish smh...some day my hard work will pay off.
Would this bass be good for metal?
You can get these new for substantially less than 4000. Mine cost 2000 new.
This bass is spector euro's brother.

Have you guys discontinued making pro series streamers?
What is that...a Spector NS imposter???
A total ripoff!
1:01 love that riff!
Literatetree it’s an original Andy Irvine song. “You Can’t Keep It Unless You Give It Away”
