Big difference jenn Aire and kitchenaid, jenn Aire has amazing quite close doors (both freezer and internal cabinet drawers..). Love this on my new jenn Aire. What we don’t like, the slide for tall items on second shelf does not close flat, it is 1/4 lower than the shelf itself. So things “tip” forward when sitting across shelf. We asked jenn Aire to send us a solid shelf, we will swap out the sliding shelf,
Nothing is guaranteed with these appliances these days. I highly doubt that's the case with all of them, maybe just with you. There are always lemons out there, with every brand.
