The thing that’s frustrating about looking at LG fridges online is that they don’t list the width in the title link- just the capacity. I get it that they’re proud of their capacity, but when you’re looking to fit a fridge into an existing space, having to click all the way deep into every model’s full specs view to find that information without being able to filter on it is pretty frustrating.
Maybe they’ve improved a lot in the past 10 years, but we had an LG fridge and LG microwave and both needed multiple expensive servicing and after less than 5 years we gave up and replaced them.
I am thrilled to see true counter depth refrigerators. However, 36" is too wide for my space, and it's just me in my household. Not everyone needs a 27 cu ft refrigerator. Are any 33" counter depth refrigerators available in + - 20 cu ft? Which models would you recommend? I can't find much in that width. What about under-counter drawer refrigeration to supplement a smaller refrigerator? I don't want a behemoth in my modest 1100 sq ft home.
We looked at the standard LG counter depth (2023) and the Max (2024). Yes the door is thicker on the max - BUT - it has no external handles. So it actually sticks out less into the space despite having thick doors. We have a galley kitchen and need as much space as possible.

Than I you for your good review. I dont like it that so many places that sell any appliances have sales people that really are not knowledgeable obout how anything works or differences in companies. Good stores need more qualified sales persons
Not sure if you've purchased your fridge yet, but right now the SRFV model is 2799 where the LRYKC model is still 2999. Instead of 1300 more, you could save 200!
I have enjoyed your presentation but wish you would never leave out the reliability and cubic size of the options you focus on. You mentioned the reliability of LG, but not the other two.
Do not buy any GE Cafe counter-depth refrigerator (or any GE product). GE thinks it is acceptable for a refrigerator to cool between 41-51 degrees! You have been warned.
What is the life expectancy of the LG linear compressor? LG literature says the linear compressor uses less energy and makes less noise than other compressors. The company offers a 10-year warranty and boasts online of 20-year durability. But Mouzari argues in the lawsuit that that linear compressor's actual lifespan is nowhere near 10 years, let alone 20.Feb 26, 2024

Could you please give me some good recommendations for a shallow counter depth one? My counter is 25.25 inches. Thanks
That is standard counter depth.
Great information for homeowners and renters. It's so hard, especially if you are buying online.

Two compressors seems like one more to possibly break. Fridges and freezers have worked great for decades on one compressor.
I would have loved the LG Max but it’s not sold here (southern Nova Scotia) because there’s no one to service it.
Hey guys I need your advice, I’m thinking of getting the LRYKC2606S or the SRFVC2416S
Is the SRFV worth the extra $1,300?
Thank you in advance
Same question here. After doing some search, extra $1300 seems paying for good color in LG Studio line.

What does "the best" mean? The best looking? The best in size? What? To the consumer "the best" means MOST RELIABLE.

Noted. Thanks for watching.

Is LG fridge still using the linear compressor?

Two compressors, twice the noise?
Or twice the potential for a breakdown....?
Samsung? With all those bad reviews?
