- With the engine out of the way, this is honestly the best time to do this. I very poorly "repaired" this transmission a few years ago. Now I'm paying the price. I've known that it's been leaking for some time, but have just been waiting for the right time to do it. That time is now.

Good call changing the position of the new boot. The recommended way is so counterintuitive! Doesn't help that it looks tough to access at 12 o'clock either. The square is looking good!
Thanks, buddy! I'm just making it up as I go, hopefully it doesn't blow up haha. Anticipating updates on that 67 of yours!
Thank you for this video!
You’re welcome, buddy!
I can’t wait for that harness to video ✌🏼
I'm dreading it haha. Ontop of the oem harness, I do need to run the lines on all my new engine sensors/gauges as well. So we'll see how that goes! wish me luck
uploaded the wire harness video just for you, buddy haha
VW owners manual clearly states. "Apply sealant to the seam and point the seam to the rear with the screw heads facing the floor for easy removal next time. There is no flex in the seam."
If you took the time to completely disassemble this I don’t understand why you would put it back together with split boots… Why not use the OEM replacements?
Maybe because it’s my car and not yours?
Nice one. I’m putting off pulling my tranny 😕
Don't do it twice like me. Do it right the first time haha
@@jeremydoc have you seen my efforts? If only twice, I’ll be doing well! 😂
