I especially liked the sound of freedom. When I was stationed at NAS Agana the B-52s from Anderson would do touch and goes back and fourth and we did too in our EP-3s to Anderson. One of my favorite memories was me driving around the base perimeter on NAS Agana one duty day jamming to something on the radio as I rounded the approach of the runway a B-52 passed overhead like in the video but a little lower and scared the shit out of me. It rattled my teeth. My Squadron had EA-3Bs affectionately known as The Whale that also had J57s so that sound is dear to me. Thanks for the cool video I could almost smell it.
Every flight ends with among the most demanding maneuvers one can do in an an aircraft - Land without a scratch, . . . SO much more so with this beautiful technological aeronautical thing. As such, this video is primetime viewing - the Buf bein' unprecedented in so many ways, seein' this quintessential picture perfect landing into a non-descript airport that could now be anywhere, is historically unprecedented for machinery and important benchmark and hallmark of humanity to consider. This bird and pilot, our USAF support personnel by the thousands along the way, . . . exhibit peerless levels of concentrated, death-defying 24/7/365 passionate all-out devotion delivering just plain human progress, ACHIEVED and well-shown in visual form here, that is ALL-inspiring as are most things about the B-52 essence AND now apparent mystique. These aircraft specifically have flown so far, like no other for so long, state-of-the-art for so long that they've become special and new here, (to me, imho).
If you compare all the miles all B-52's have flown to their entire costs, the Stratofortress cost us one million dollars per mile, I've heard somewhere in discussions of reengining the Buf for continued indeterminate service.
Those B-52's are large and does carry the largest amount of weapons when going to their targets. I know those people there were in awe while watching those big birds come in to land.
Lovely shots , well zoomed (inspite of earlier comment!). Pronounced anhedral wings once the lift came off - hence the outboard !jockey wheels" - presumably effective on an heavy landing? Most enjoyable to watrch, many thanks
I'm pretty sure that call sign was Tsar 43, and 44, not Zarp 43, and 44. Tsar is a call sign frequently given to B-52's, for some reason. Maybe to intimidate Putin, lol.
Mr.M wilson. The B 52 carries a variety of ordnance . From nuclear weapons to convention bombs(non nuclear) It can carry of a conventional payload of 40,000 pounds of bombs. Think about that. One plane, 40,000 pounds of high explosive.
most aircraft tails slope upward so can pitch more on landing keeping the nose up to slow down using the wings as a big air brake, b52's tails hardly slope upwards and are really long too, hence looking odd landing
Okay. I’ll tell that to my family who flies them filled with nuclear warheads around Russia and protects your sorry ass every day so that you live in a free country. You’re welcome.

Nice film, nice and steady. Well done.
Wow, great video! Really gives you a great picture of just how wide the wings are.
Really good video. They are huge aircraft. Didn't know they used parachutes too. Noticed how the wings bounced on the 2nd one's landing!
Awesome video bet that was an experience to see
Wing flex on 2nd Buff when she touches down,I'm amazed how the wings stay attached, even 60year old, this a\c never ceases to amaze.get vid thnx
I saw that takeoff from Niagara Falls once. Same with the B-1
Beautiful! :D

I love the super distant shot from 0:39, faint and flickering through the heat haze, but it's coming! :-)
Excellent video 10/10 , & yes I know how you feel when some one gets in the way of your shot , ive had it done to me too ,

Nice video of the awesome BUFFS.
Una gran captura de uno de los más grandes aviones que ha conocido el hombre. Felicidades y gran trabajo.
Incredible, what noise :D
Awesome video,very nice indeed :)

well filmed
It remains impressive. Vietnam knows all about it..
You Brits are lucky. I've lived all my life in America and have never seen a B 52.
Man....that is one dirty bird.....but......damn cool to watch!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing
Hi where are you standing to shoot this?, I'm coming from NZ this year to RIAT
Kempsford Road, public highway
cheers
Those are Minot birds, based there for four years.
awsome
hahaha P&Ws smokin' like a chimney on Christmas Eve!
For Baltops?
When you need speed call the B-1
When you need photoshoots call the B-2
When you need bombs call the B-52
Monster of a plane
Bad luck......but welcome to my world. Absolutely normal if you're a plane fan in a wheelchair
Woul have been nicer if you left the zoom button alone towards the end but a good video
Why?
cool

Excellent goal for SU-35
The buff
Wonder!
The second one looked like a bone rattler. Nice video.

Just to haunt you 4 yrs later 😁
Glad the Yanks are on our side.
How many engines the B52 has? seems like 8
Yes Pratt and Whitney TF-33 engines
Does that gives the plane more power and makes it fly faster?
Gilbertory it gives it more power
To make us feel good!?
wheres the epa now with all this smoke?...our chainsaws atent to puff smoke.

Now that's a BUS! Or should that be BUFF!?
Shady Linton. It's ''BUFF''. Big Ugly Fat F**ker''.
Thats one evil looking plane..

They sure are awkward looking when they land.
they have to land without pitching to much so as not to hit tail on runway
most aircraft tails slope upward so can pitch more on landing keeping the nose up to slow down using the wings as a big air brake, b52's tails hardly slope upwards and are really long too, hence looking odd landing
can do without the limey's cackling in the back ground
+mike conboy LMAO. Yeah, especially one broad cackling like a god damn witch. Wonder did she bring her broomstick with her ????
+mike conboy She is laughing at yanks asking if she lives in a thatched cottage and does she know the Queen.
mike conboy its nice to see the brits admiring our planes! be proud buddy!
I guess pints at the corner pub and a go at the darts are off now.
No one is mocking the Americans. A nice reply from you though!
Lovley weather for june... NOT
They seriously need to re-engine the b52 with less smokey engines
no they don’t
