What are you talking about? What contradictions? If you reread John 10-17, when it says that Jesus have the power to lay his life down and take it up again, it immediatley follows up with "This commandment have I received of my Father." The Father gave Jesus power authority to be able to raise himself from the dead. Therefore, Ellen White is not making any contradictions when she says only the Father could release him.
Brothers and sisters, I ask you not be deceived. I have read many books from Ellen White and I can testify that she truly is a Prophet of God and not from Satan. Her words she has written is not from her or Satan, but of God.

If you don't know what I am talking about, I challenge you to look up Joshua 10:12, 13 and Psalm 19:4-6. Atheist love when Christians do this, it proves their point of view. makes us Christians look like fools because we do not understand what we believe. The scriptures say all authority was given to Christ, so the Father gave Christ authority, as to why he needed to be given authority many might begin to think he was a created being but that is not so, the Son submits to the Father just as the church submits to the Son etc. Christ submitted himself to the authority of the Father to his own laws and penalty for sin which was Death forever separation from the Fathers love. This was not some charade God pulled on his creatures, he literally laid down all to redeem us, the law giver was weighed in the balance, if Jesus was weighing himself it wouldn't be fair and all of Christianity would be a charade, but Christ was dead in those hours that probably felt like an eternity to Jehova, if he had failed his mission he would have forever ceased to exist by his own power and all of creation would have fell and met the same fate as a failed Messiah. This is why Christ laid in the tomb waiting for his Fathers approval because it was no game or charade, it is deep what Christ did and not to be watered down.

There is no contradiction here, he’s the father the son and the Holy Spirit which makes the trinity. He was no less a god when he was born of the flesh he was just in human and taking our human weakness.

Jesus very clearly resurrected himself along with the Spirit and the Father. The Triune God acting in harmony. He literally says He has the authority to resurrect himself before doing so.
According to Ellen’s own standard, she contradicts the Bible, therefore it came from Satan.

He could have taken up his life at any point but he didn't because he was obeying the Father hence Ellen white says he was a prisoner of divine justice because he was (obeying God) bearing the sins of the world "the chastisement of our peace was upon him".

I don't believe in ellen white becayse of all her issues and inconsistencies but Christ saying he has power to receive life means he has the right to receive life from the Father. It clearly aligns with lots of verses which says that the Father raised Jesus Christ.
I believe Christ truly died, and still had the right to receive life again that's why the Father resurrected him.

Jesus was essentially saying that he is divine. Yet the Son leaves all things to the Fathers will. By accepting the cross of Calvary, Jesus accepted the time allotted for his condemnation, and only the Father could release him from that. His judgement was complete, and the Son of righteousness rose by his own power.
Just as he depended on his Father's will in the garden of Gethsemane, so he depended on his Father's will even after death.
You should really,pray for guidance from the holy spirit before you comment or talk about spiritual stuff especially in public or on a public platform like this .

His father could only release Him, not from death, but from taking the penalty of sin. Remember, Jesus prayed to ask His Father if He can remove the cup from Him. Jesus can raise Himself from death because He has life within Himself. He took our place, so she wrote from the perspective of His humanity, not His divinity.

yes Jesus does obey the Father. In this example the charge was received by Jesus from the Father. John 6:38 for another example.
However, Ellen claims only the Father could release Jesus, vs the Bible which states Jesus takes up his own life. Clear contradiction. The way Ellen phrases the concept is the opposite of scripture, implying that Jesus did not have the authority to take up His life as the Father charged, rather the Father had to release Him.

The faith I live by was written long after Ellen whites death. I think 1958 it was written. The Bible commentaries came by 37 different contributors and written between 1953 and 1957. Ellen White died 1915 and there is no other reference than the Bible commentaries. There is no evidence anywhere that she wrote that statement. Pastors and scholars have used their own interpretation of scripture in the commentaries and I personally don’t use them. Because Matthew 23:8-11 and John 14:26… I can see the point though as Christ said that I do nothing of my own will but the will of the Father ( last half John 5:30. Also Christs last statement on the cross was to commit His Spirit to the Father. Matthew 28:2 shows that an angel rolled away the stone. Christ could have done this Himself. But waited in subjection in obedience to the Fathers will. He even bade Mary to not touch Him because He has not ascended to the Father. Christ lived and died as a man to fulfill the word of God. He couldn’t die as God because God cannot die. He gave that to the Father on the cross.another example is Matthew 24:36 . All tends to be in the Fathers hand for the completion of the plan of salvation. So on the first point we can’t say Ellen White wrote that on the other hand, whoever wrote it and included it in The Faith we live by has a point to consider. Thank you for bringing this up. I understand how you misconstrued it, but you wouldn't have done it if you read the Bible fully first because Jesus gave all authority to His Father while He was on Earth for everything. Whenever He used His divinity, it was only because the Father did it through Him. That's what she was talking about. Jesus didn't have to do that, but He did it for us and He became our example by assuming our nature, so that we would know that just as He had to rely on the Father, we must also rely on God.
Ellen White also said this: "He who had said, “I lay down my life, that I might take it again” (John 10:17), came forth from the grave to life that was in Himself. Humanity died; divinity did not die. In His divinity Christ possessed the power to break the bonds of death. He declares that He has life in Himself to quicken whom He will."
She knew her Bible, my friend, way better than you or I know ours. Your "higher criticism," as she called it, is what causes people to do what you just did with her words and apply it to God's Word as well.

In Acts 2:24, Peter says that “God raised [Jesus] from the dead.” So that’s the basic answer. God resurrected Jesus. As we read more Scripture, that basic answer becomes more nuanced.
The Bible indicates that all three Persons of the Trinity were involved in Jesus’ resurrection. Galatians 1:1 says that the Father raised Jesus from the dead. First Peter 3:18 says that the Spirit raised Jesus from the dead (see also Romans 1:4, and note that Romans 8:11 clearly says that God will resurrect believers “through His Spirit”).
