Most of ancient Israel was illiterate, which is why they went to synagogue to have the scriptures read. In the early Christian church, the scriptures were printed in Hebrew, Greek, or Latin. That was part of the point of Luther's reformation, which was translating the NT so the common man could read it. However, it takes the Holy Spirit to interpret properly, and I believe it's always beneficial to read the scriptures together with other believers. That was always the intention of the church, going back to Paul.

20:16 this is the very reason why i left the SDA church pastoral ministry, because i cannot in all honesty and in good conscience agree with, let alone preach and teach SDA Fundamental Belief 24 and 18 (investigative judgment and EGW). These doctrines of theirs is not just another (cursed) gospel, but it undermines the finished and sufficient work of Jesus on the cross to save us from our sins and be reconciled with God. The sad thing is, when i raised this concerns to the Ministerial Secretary (pastor of pastors), all he said to me was "they're the (theological) battlegrounds" without so much an explanation. When i further explained that these 2 doctrines actually affects the other 26 doctrines in one way or another. I got told that i shouldn't view the doctrines like a house of cards, but like a living natural organism. I retorted and said that that's a bad analogy, the weeds in garden, viruses and bacterias that causes diseases are living and natural organisms, yet we try to eradicate them.
There are so many serious problems with the SDA system (at least from what i have witnessed in my neck of the woods) in terms of what passes nowadays as an ordained minister. They'll deny it, but for them, the standard proof that you are "qualified" to be a minister is if you have a consistent number of baptisms each year and not your ability to exegete competently and to teach and preach the word of God as accurately as you can with the help of the Holy Spirit. If you don't meet the "quota," you'll then get questioned. Even after ordination, their pastors gets questioned by the administrators if they're not producing the "numbers."
Myles (and Walter Rea before him) rightly called the SDA ministers as "salesmen" because they are actually more closer to MLM salesmen and recruiters rather than honest and competent expositors of God's word. The lemon of a product that these "salesmen" and "salesladies" sell are a false gospel and a false Jesus who not only doubted his own ressurection, but also does not know the people whom he supposedly saved that he needed to do an investigative judgment. Very sad really.😢

By that baptism or convert targets reasons, SDA is classified as thief faith organization for they thieves members of other denominations. Also they thieves students from their schools and were paid to be baptized to achieve the pastor target. Afterwards, all of those students graduate from SDA schools and continuing their previous Christian believe. It is SDA natural customs in Indonesia.

I admire your courage and your honesty. I recently had a conversation with an SDA minister in Battle Creek, MI at the Adventist Historic center. He asked if I were SDA, and I replied that I wasn’t. He asked why. I explained that, with the Investigative Judgement, one had to show why one merited/deserved to enter heaven - and that ran counter to grace. I added that if I had to “qualify” for heaven, then Jesus’ atoning death on the cross was …

Like Myles, I don't have a beef against individual SDA folks, in fact I have a lot of dear family and friends whom I love who are still SDA to this day. But I love my Lord Jesus and I will not twist and disfigure the gospel just so I can have a steady paycheck. It wasn't easy losing the means of my livelihood. I rather sleep with a rumbling stomach but with a clear conscience knowing in my heart I'm not leading people to believe a false Jesus and a false gospel. Thanks again to Myles for his courage and perseverance calling out the SDAs false gospel. By the grace of God, the fellowship of our Lord Jesus and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit, keep up the good work dude.

This verse is what led me to study for myself and put aside all extra biblical material and led me out of the SDA church. Men are fallible, the Holy Spirit is not.

Come on, Sola, get with it. You need Ellen White's writings to understand the plain teachings of the Bible because her teachings are... even plainer! Therefore, you need the REALLY plain teachings of the profit to tell you what the plain Word means. Her writings are so plain, you need the lesser light to teach you about the greater light, you know, like needing a flashlight to show somebody where the sun is.
In fact, Ellen's words are so plain that she taught the shut door doctrine, then didn't. She said you could eat meat, then not. She said fashion was of the devil, then came up with their own weird "pant dress" thingy. She said God hates disobedient children, then changed her mind and said He loves all the little children.
I mean, how much plainer do we have to make things around here?

Did he not just prove EGW was right?
@ 12:30 he says..."But if I lose confidence in the writings of Ellen White, specifically the testimonies for the SDA church, I'll drift away from Bible truth. And the Bible says this where again?"
As a former SDA has he drifted away from Bible truths with his views here on things like the "new creation". ?
And as for his question at the end... "And the Bible says this where again?"
Yes the Bible makes it clear that prophecy in the last days is needed.
    "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God."
    Ephesians 4:11-13
"Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." Proverbs 29:18
"Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." 1Thess 5:20-21
So as SDA's I believe we follow the Bible and the "Bible only" when we "despise not prophesyings" and accept the teachings of EGW.

"As a former SDA has he drifted away from Bible truths with his views here on things like the "new creation". ?"
Uhh, no, because the new creation is biblical. You're assuming it isn't which leads you to this conclusion. You're begging the question by assuming the thing that's in contention is actually correct.
This is from your OWN scholarship on the new creation:
“As mentioned before, “reconciliation” is presented in the New Testament in 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19. Here God “has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation” (v. 18), or “committed to us the word of reconciliation” (v. 19). Such a word not only proclaims that “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself” (v. 19) when He “made him who had no sin [to be] a sin [offering] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (v. 21 NIV margin, cf. Isa 53:10), but it also announces that this act of God has inaugurated “a new creation,” one in which those who are in Christ have already entered (v. 17), but that will not be fully realized until the eschaton (Rev 21:1). This is the final effect of the atoning work, which involves a process described in the Bible with sanctuary language.”-Aecio Cairus, The Substitutionary Atonement, pg. 6
Your own scholarship recognizing the new creation being biblical and uses the exact same texts I and others point to for support. Yet you claim it isn't biblical. Got it.
