Thank You Phil, Thank You Judy from California....Always love Cherry. The more the knots the better.. I enjoy your small, sweet & simple, easy-peasy turnings (I LOVE your large, massive, difficult, rock hard turnings Phil, sorry but they are GREAT!!!). I will take what I get and I do enjoy all you have to offer. This one has LOTS of character. You are right Phil "I wouldn't put ice cream in it" of course not Phil it just isn't LARGE enough, HA. Phil it is a beauty with wonderful color and grain. Until next time... TM

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Phil. You selected your 'cut off' section very well & you, as always' turned so very, very well. We viewers have to be careful to acknowledge your skill both in decision making & the physical turning. It is wonderful & exciting to watch you turn & listen to your commentary as you work your way through all your pieces. This truly is a beautiful piece & the Feed & Wax finish is perfect for this piece. One day you will have to show us your wonderful collection of all the beautiful pieces you have worked on to release the beauty within each & every piece you turn. What a wonderful display/video it would make. Thanks mate & I am GLAD you enjoyed turning it so much. Cheers, Don from South Aust.

Hi Phil! Sure you could eat ice cream out of it… if you put a glass or plastic dish inside of it. 😆🙄 I like it. My kind of dish. Small, sweet and “dressed” in F&W! Sorry if I’ve been distant lately. The past 7 months have NOT been good for me. First I lost my niece, then my mom and 3 weeks ago, I lost my best friend. Her 67th birthday would have been on 7/23. 😢 Then to add to it all, my dad isn’t doing well. Bright side, I am visiting my kids and grands. I go home this Monday. As always, Hugs and more to you. ✨ Roma 🌲💚🌳 🦅

Lovely colour, especially the contrast between the wood and the bark. I’ve always had a soft spot for cherry, even before I moved in with my (then girlfriend, now) wife at Cherry Trees, the house where she grew up - which took its name from the cherry trees at the end of the garden.

    Good morning, Phil.
I enjoy your beginning thoughts/talk. Where you are thinking out loud about how the piece will be best turned. It parallels my brain waves when looking at certain pieces of interesting wood. Then say, I will look at this piece again later on. Pretty sure my kids will, one day, say I wonder what Dad ever saw in this chunk of wood. Phil, your cherry piece from Judy is amazing. Toward the end, where you are holding it, I could feel the bowl in my hands as you are describing the outcome. Absolutely gorgeous.
