I cannot believe that, literally 15 years ago, I had a dream that matches that Dracula fight near identically. The only thing that was missing was books and plates being shot at you, but it’s a near perfect recreation of this very specific dream
@@Mrphillycheesesteak I wouldn’t be surprised if more people had a similar experience. Given I was 5/6 at the time-maybe even younger-my reading comprehension wasn’t great and trying to understand what to do or what was happening was tough. Considering the Dracula looked exactly like the butler ghost-for me-I guarantee it was just because of how scary it looked when you lit the candles. His head gets big, he’s screaming, and then he starts kinda chasing you, depending on where you lit it. I remember just hiding when he would start heading to the washroom, since I didn’t want to get caught. It would not be surprising that other children thought the same thing, having similar dreams about a scary thing in the game.
Did we all have dreams with abstract Luigi Mansion dream recreations? Insane. Even more insane was that the game was so fun and charming for me but those dreams felt like stressful nightmares, wheeze.
Well the original LM is definitely the most creepy and genuinely insidious I think Nintendo has or ever will be, I really wish the sequels didn't get so light hearted in comparison. But yeah these hacks definitely take it a lot further haha.
The soundtrack alone and just the oppressive aggression of the sound design (the thunder especially) closing in on Luigi, has always painted a far darker and more sinister picture to me than some of the other elements like the light hearted dialogue and the cartoony ghosts.
@@cookiesontoast9981same here, the first game actually managed to scare me. I was thinking the SpaceWorld 2000 footage would be creepier, but it’s just as goofy as Dark Moon but highly detailed which is way ahead of its time.
This hack definitely improved on the ghost designs! If nintendo went with these designs, a lot of kids wouldn’t even make it past the front door! 😅 Definitely down to see more hacks and mods
i had a dream where luigi found a secret locked room, filled with references to the bible, the last supper, alot of paintings and random notes pinned in the walls, but it was in 1st person, you could see the entire room and there was a huge stage with a statue of Jesus
@@supersambamsdx not gonna lie, it was kinda scary actually! the dream first started in a garden similar to the one of gethsemane, full of olive trees and there was prehistoric vegetation as well with a huge medieval-looking church in the horizon, inside that church things were even weirder, the wallpaper was the one from the backrooms and the carpet was the one from The Shining and the hallways were long, and if you made quick movement, the lights would flicker and eventually fade out if you moved alot, when the lights turned on thats when the secret locked room appeared near you
also the buildings had a even more ancient-like appearence and seemed to be in perfect state, yet in ruins and there was statues of weeping angels in some trees
Wow this is cool! I remember when I was like 3, my older cousins forced me to play the original (it mightve been the first video game I ever played) and I just remember wandering the dark Area 2 Halls and getting scared by the Ceiling and Bowling ghosts. This really struck the same kinda feeling.
@@Flare8295 The mansion theme. You can hear it throughout the mansion. It’s very simplistic and a bit quiet, so it might be hard to tell for a bit, but It’s the same exact notes!

Hey! I loved the video, I would have never found out about Luigi’s Mansion hacks if it wasn’t for your channel! I just have a quick question, how did you fix the error you got right at the beginning that crashed the game? I’m getting the exact same error… Thank you!
It is crazy to me how much stuff you can do with Luigi's Mansion like making totally new area's and stuff someone should remake Luigi's Mansion 3 in Luigi's Mansion 1 but with like changes to make it feel more like what if Luigi's Mansion 1 took place in a Hotel instead of the Mansion we all know and love so scarier feeling and have exploration be better cause that is the biggest problem with Luigi's Mansion 3 like there is no exploration almost all of the time it is just get from point A to point B unlike 1 where yeah of course you had to do the same thing as 3 but it wasn't as straightforward like there were more twists and turns and you had to backtrack but unlike RE it doesn't feel too annoying not that RE is annoying it is just you're confused a lot but I think ya get me
So the final challenge in this hack is a Grim Reaper boss that directly proceeds a Dracula boss? That's never happened in a video game before. Luigi really can't escape Castlevania, huh?

I really like how recent Luigi's Mansion hacks are trying to be way more scarier and darker than the original. It feels refreshing

Not a very high bar to beat I recon. Luigi's Mansion was never a horror game in any capacity to begin with.

This feels like an alpha version for an alternate universe version of Luigi’s mansion
Luigi's Mansion, but it's in an alternate universe as well as a sort of Purgatory for Luigi
I love how the ghosts move and look like motion-captured clay models!
