You made the point that the 206 is considered to be very realistic in MSFS (and so it is). These two helicopters are different in real life and the AS350 is designed to carry more and fly higher. So the increased steep turn performance shouldn't be too much of a surprise. But just remember to compare apples to apples in the sim, i.e. testing with similar percentage of max gross weight, maneouvers at the same airspeed and altitude etc. And obviously you need to be using the stock control curves - no changes to the default axis settings.
I think the collective response in the AS350 is more immediate because of the FADEC engine control. In the 206 you're always having to anticipate a slight lag with collective changes but it's just a question of practice. In the sim you can hold a 60-degree level turn in the 206 at 80% torque but you need to keep it coordinated. Getting the nose up before you enter the turn helps. Bleeds airspeed of course.
I don't think the real 350 is quite as stable in roll as you saw in a hover, taxi etc. But I'm not a real pilot. That's just based on some of the training videos I've watched.

I've flown both these machines. I don't own either of these in msfs but I can tell you, watching this, the 206 in this video seems far more realistic.
In real life the 350 is more sensitive and has a LOT more power. They have very different rotor systems.
    Thanks for the video.

If you want an as close as possible realistic helicopter experience (in a game environment simulation), the F/I Bell 206 is hands down the winner. If you want to sweat blood, try the F/I Bell 47G in realistic mode with no governor. BTW, don't get too frustrated if you are flying with regular HOTAS controls, you would need helicopter-type flight controls to really enjoy any helicopter.

I think I really like the H-125 much better than the Cowan Sim Bell 206 B-3! The H-125 flies quicker and much more agile and is a lot more maneuverable than the 206 is. Great helicopter at a nice price! Thanks a lot for the comparison!

I have the fly inside Bell 206 and love it. I do have the Virpol collective and pedals and cyclic. Massive difference flying it in control. The Fly inside manager allows you to set sensitivity intil you learn how to handle it correctly. Well worth it..and no FPS hit either. If your familiar with the Dodosim Bell 206 in earlier vers of MSFS you can relate. The sounds are awesome. This bird only has 2 blades compared to the 3 on the Cowin.

thanks for the comparison. i’m very interested in the 206 but a little reluctant as i’ve heard a lot about the fps hit. in your footage, the 206 seemed to stutter more an it was a little glitchy as well. did you experience that or was it just recording?

Hey m8, no I think the 206 did tax my system in fps compared to the 125. But it was still flyable and fine. If you want a more challenging flight model, the 206 I'd recommend and it wont be too bad on fps still flyable. But for more "fun" and relaxed flying, the 125.

@@Adalla thanks for the reply. i doubt i’ll ever get the chance to fly a real helicopter, so i’m after the realism!

@@Adallajust wanted to let you know that i took your advice and went for the fly inside 206. i could not be happier. it’s spectacular. i’ve spent a lot of time learning to fly it. i think i’m at the point, with takeoff and flight, where an amateur might think i know what i’m doing. the mask still slips when i land though, as i’m still truly terrible at it! 😂 cheers

@@goalski134 That's awesome! If you can fly that chopper, you can fly anything m8. Seriously, it's not an easy aircraft to fly. I'd say up there with top 3-4 most difficult helicopters I've flown on PC sims, and certainly the most difficult I've flown on MSFS :).

Great video, the flyinside b206 looks more realistic to me, the 125 looks quite arcade. I'm sure they are both excellent helicopters. I'm still learning the G2 that came with the game, though I do have the Hype 145 | used ages go (not played for ages).
Did you ever take those lessons in the summer you mentioned? How they go?

Which airport are you flying at? I have both of these and would say hands-down the FlyInside 206 is the one I prefer.
