    Thank you for this great explanation! I am a RC Collective Pitch Helicopter pilot only but I love Helicopters, if fullsize or RC helis since I was 5 years "old" and saw them landing and taking off at the hospital close to my parents house. I love the freedom to take off and land almost everywhere with a Helicopter! Greetings from Poland!

    Looking back at older turbines like the MD500 or the B206 which takes more to start up and even with a huge risk of entering a hot start if not started properly just shows even in the small things, yet on the ground can be complicating. Now with the newer rotorcraft like the 407 and the H125 with the FEDEC systems makes starting a helicopter easy, therefore reducing pilot overload on start. Although, it can be boring doing these ''FEDEC'' starts sadly.

      Yes not much of a challenge,, tip: FADEC.. At least on h125

    how does the accumulator test work? I don't suppose it uses the accumulator bottle cause that would mean we'd have to change it pretty often

    Rpm increased by switch instead of throttle twist grip

    • @dsholden1
      @dsholden1  3 года назад +1

      hello Anikesh, when i put checklist away and ready for "flight mode" i put my hand on the horn switch to be ready for the low rpm warning signal test, the actual increase from idle to flight rpm is coming from left hand input on the collective throttle being set to flight detent. So no, rpm increase does not come from pedestal switch.
