When are we gonna learn?! We don't need Kane, we don't need Zegras. We need TOUGHNESS and guys that can throw their weight in the playoffs. Drury needs to sack up and trade for a guy like Brady Tkachuk, and sign one or two bottom sixers who can get in on the forecheck and hit. Make it fucking happen!!! Playing soft doesn't win in the playoffs!
Brady isn’t available any more than McDavid so how about a player that is available? We have some gritty guys who throw there weight around coming to camp.
We need to address D more anyways, if we can’t break the puck out none of this matters.

Matt Rempe is the guy that makes the Rangers tougher, he needs a full season in the NHL
They literally can’t defend or score goals at even strength. Your whole idea of let’s just tough our way to the cup is hilarious. Toughness is a part of winning teams but being able to do literally anything at 5v5 is far more important.

I'd rather sign Kane than trade for Zegras. Kane has less cost, will sign for a shorter term, and won't cost us trade capital that is probably better spent on fixing our D that can't get the puck out of our end when it counts.
I'm a huge Rangers fan for 55 yrs now, the Rangers need big player's that can bang the body get in the crease and just create havoc on the ice, you also need guy's that can kill penalties on the opposition power play and big heavy guy's who can hit on the boards, if Drury don't get these player's there gonna be Right back where they were this yr maybe they win 2 Rounds but as far as getting to the Stanley cup finals they can forget about it without new big heavy player's taking the body and can score.

It’s important to note Zegras is on a terrible team, get him on a contending roster I think we’d see big improvements in his game. I think he is disgruntled being in Anaheim and I think that translates to his play on the ice. Get him to a place he wants to be and I could see a star being born. He has a very similar game to Jack Hughes and is actually bigger than him. In juniors he was a great two way guy, maybe that can be brought out in NY. We have a lot of tough players, Othmann will be a huge addition on that front, and Zegras can be a monster at 5v5 which is extremely important. Not all about more size.

I’ll also add that in the nhl24 hockey game you can now just push a single button to do the signature Trevor Michigan. How convenient now every soft individual has the luxury of doing this famous goal that happens only a handful of times a year!

I think Drury is messing with people's heads. There's no way that we would be interested in this guy. Unless we packaged Kakko and trouba to go out to Anaheim in some kind of big trade. I know I'm reaching with that but there's no chance I want this guy on the team. These guys who do that Michigan crap I'm old school hockey player I'd punch someone in the face if they did that to my team
I’m biased against zegras since he went to my high school for a year. After he was in the Calder race and he was scoring highlight reel goals I thought it was a huge mistake that the rangers took Kakko instead of him. Now I think the ducks might do Kakko for zegras straight up (or close). I wish zegras the best of luck, but he’s not a fit for this team, he’s too fragile.
