Is a beautiful negative. I experimented with 510pyro for 1 hour. I like the results.

What is your version of EMA with pyrocat hd and hp5? I've tried Sherman's EMA with FP4 and Tmax 100 to very mixed results, got steaks and unevenness with the Tmax. Safer and just as good to go with 1:1:100 normal or continuous agitation.

I dilute Pyrocat-HD 1+1+200. Agitation constant first minute, then 5 secs every 15 min for a total of an hour. HP5 EI 200.

I chuckled to myself when you were reading off those old film prices. In the early 80's, I remember buying 50 sheet boxes of 8x10 Tri-X for about $50! How much is a 10 sheet box today? Certainly beyond my budget! A couple of comments regarding Steve's EMA technique: 1) Steve's development times and agitation cycles are based on FP-4+ and I've found that other ISO 100 films, like Foma 100, require quite different times / agitation cycles, 2) Steve's negative design is built around the fact that he prints with more blue light than green light. Therefore, his Zone VIII density is in the 0.95 - 1.00 range. Quite a bit lower of a highlight density than what is used for typical silver gelatin printing.

I made some tubes for 5x7 to place my exposed sheets in so it can travel to my local lab. As I enter my next phase of home development, are there proper 5x7 tubes to use as the ones I made are okay to so-s0? Thank you

I think at one time BTZS made them in 5x7, but I haven't seen any. I've heard of people developing 5x7 in 8x10 tubes (inserted horizontally instead of vertically). If the tubes you made are light tight, and have a cap that'll hold enough developer, you should be fine.

Actually, they are two types of maple. The Riverview grounds is a tree lover's paradise!
