Mark, 100% correct on every point you mentioned. If you recall, I lived in Chiang Mai, invited you and Jen to visit us, married to a thai lady, 22 years age difference, married for 33 years.. Every point you made fits our relationship perfectly, We recently relocated to Las Vegas, if you ever get over this way, you are always welcome to stay with us. Take care, my friend.

My sister is friends with a Filipina woman who met a man at her church and came to America on a visa. She had been to college and was a programmer for HP in the Philippines. This dating didn’t work out as the guy was kind of weird and not treating her right. One of my other family members introduced her to one of their friends and they hit it off and got married about a year or so later. She is now living in Texas and works for Alcon where they started her as a programmer for $90,000 a year. Her husband also works and they go see her family several times a year in the Philippines. You just never know what’s going to happen but you need to be sincere and kind.

It's a good video Mark. A few points about it: 1. it's not necessarily the case that couples need to be fluent in a common language, for the relationship to work. It may not work for some, if there are some language issues, but others can overcome this problem. 2. Online relationships, and 'in person' relationships, can be quite different. Online relationships are fraught with problems if a couple put too much stake in this kind of relationship, before a couple get together. And when an online relationship becomes an 'in person' relationship, couples really do need to spend a good slab of time together, before making any major commitment to each other. I would say at least 4 months, but preferably a year, or more. 3. It's true that many Westerners may frown upon older men getting with younger foreign women. But like the idea that men are just after sex, it could also be said that younger foreign women are just after money! Like you were suggesting though: is the older man 'solely' after sex, and is the woman 'solely' after money? And no-one should be jumping to conclusions about a relationship if they don't have any idea of what's really going on. Keep up the great videos 👍. Dave, Perth, Australia.

What happens to marriages in the Philippines when the money goes dry(i.e. medical bills)
I think I know the answer: LOVE!
I never played drinking games(I don't drink alcohol), but hypothetically speaking I'd be tanked by now if I took a shot every time I heard the word love.
Not throwing shade... Too many guys assume women have the same respect for love that men do. Women think about love like a pair of socks: She liked her old socks for a little bit, but she prefers new socks because new things stir-up more emotions within her. A new Judo instructor outplayed old Tom Brady, moral of the story: want loyalty, get a dog instead!

Hi Mark your topic is very interesting and as Filipino i'd like to share some of the reasons that many OLD 3xpats having a relati9nships with young Filipina ended sour. First many old expats find their partner in a dating apps, facebook and other online flatforms and most of the Filipinas that are in there belongs to a very low tier one many of them are low educations cannot find good jobs and are poor not matured in many things and has financial difficulties to survive.Vast and overwhelming majority of Filinas that are financially independent, college graduates and has stable jobs are not joining that dating apps. Overwhelming of Filipinas with stable income doesn't like to marry old men or go into a relationships ( who would be?) But if there is a chance to befriend an expats they prefer to of their age or maybe older but not too much they don't want to be a widow early.

Its interesting they dont are all blind and dont know men in their own culture , when i as a foreigner sees that daily. Its it really lack of understanding ?
If a poor girl, sees a poor joy in The Philippines , he cant even provide for him self, so why do the girls think he can provide for her?
At se time, she open her legs for him, Do she really think he can provide for a kid/kids ?
She has probably siblings friends , neighbours etc in same situation , have kid with local boy as that but their never learn .
About dreaming about a older foreognet , if that what they really want to escape poverty . Why on earth go make baby with local boy or boys first ?
I have pinoy friends and the Filipino culture has changed .
Earlier , there was no big age gap among locals . Just ask Grand parents of your partner !
This has changed with foreigners .
Earlier, local man stayed or married that woman he has kid with but this changed with all foreigners coming .
The local men knows that many old western men coming to look for young pinays , even with kids . The local men knows their kids will be provided for and get decent education , by this old foreigners ..
This is a two way desperation!
Thats young girl desperate to find old foreigners to give her and kids a better life.
That old foreigners, desperate to find a much younger life partner .
Both thing money is equal to love and kindness .They both know that foreigners usually outclass local men financially .
Its seems many foreigners , dont have real friendship with local men and just listen to all coming out from the mouth of this girls 🤣
