Very good I enjoyed this lesson, good to get it on youtube many thanks Kevin. I really need to get my head around more theory. Looking forward to the next lesson. That young boy is really growing at a pace.
Hi Kevin and one and all, I've been playing around with I V IV ii in the key of C but thanks for explaining to me what I was doing! I just liked it but until now didn't know why.
Hi Kevin, thanks for the great lesson. How about the following combinations: iii ii IV Vi, IV Vii iii V, IV ii iii V, I IV ii VI Greatings from Bad Nauheim in Germany
I have learned that there is a lot of math in music, but I got an F in math in high school 65 years ago. So I don not think there is much hope in doing math stuff with my uke. And there is not much short (or long term) memory available ether. SO play on.
From any major chord triad, a minor has a flattened 3rd note, and a diminished has flattened 3rd and 5th notes. B major is B/D#/F#. B minor (flattened 3rd) = B/D/F# (because flattening D# makes it just D). B diminished (flattened 3rd and 5th)= B/D/F.
Finally you have my interest for the Theory no one else has

Great lesson! So important to know about music theory!
I think I, iii, V (or C, Em, G) sounds pretty good, thanks Kevin!

Wowza KEVIN. You’re the best teacher for uku
This is fantastic! I don’t think anyone has ever explained this to me!
Looking forward to the rest the series. Thanks Kevin!
Thank you Kevin for a new Series. Cant wait for future EP.

Thanks Kevin, good stuff
Wow!! Thank you for such a wonderful lesson❤❤
It's my pleasure
great intro!
Good lesson Kevin, thank you. However, I may be missing a trick here (been known), but what elements make the formula I ii iii IV V vi dvii?

I like I, vi, IV, V progression but I think it sounds better if I substitute G7 for G.

SO play on.
What is b diminished?
🥰😍🤩🤗
What is B diminished, other than another chord I'll struggle with???
From any major chord triad, a minor has a flattened 3rd note, and a diminished has flattened 3rd and 5th notes.
B major is B/D#/F#.
B minor (flattened 3rd) = B/D/F# (because flattening D# makes it just D).
B diminished (flattened 3rd and 5th)= B/D/F.
How do you make a Bdim?
Merci.
I'd like to practice the Circle of Fifths progression.
I IV vii° iii vi ii V I
hi everybody, hope you‘re all fine🎶🧿🍀
I Also like I, ii, V, I
:)
Key of G= I vi IV V or G, Em, C, D
Sounds pretty in the key of G: I iii ii vii° I vi IV V I
Found a pretty one (ending with a hint of hope) in key of A: A Bm D E
Everything in my life is diminished.
orI, iv,v,iv 🎶
I, iii, vi (2x) iv, vi, v
or I, iv, vi, iv vi, v (2x)
or as a happy ending ii, vii,I
Omg music is math! 😅
Completely, totally, utterly lost .....I’ll keep trying.
