Experimetal Experimetal you're welcome. Some of these concepts take a while, as well as several repetitions before they sink in. Thanks for watching.
Great lesson, Thank you! I used to know music theory so well from playing woodwinds. Then, 30 years went by without playing any instruments. Learning to play the Uke during Covid and dusting off some old skills. This is a great refresher which will speed up the precess. Much appreciated! :)
Thanks!
I've been playing ukulele for 3 years. This is a perfect lesson. Thank you
I've been just playing the ukulele by using chord charts. I'm glad to finally understand music theory on my uke!!! I'm finally understanding it as an instrument, and I'm sure I can use this knowledge to learn other instruments. Thank you, sir, for your clear explanation.
Many thanks for your kind comment, and yes all of this information applies equally to other instruments.
Really excellent instruction. Not too fast at all, not too slow either. Good amount of content for each episode. You're an excellent teacher!
Don't forget everyone to practice! Play popular songs from chord charts and tabs, recognize what you've learned in theory so you can internalize and contextualize it and make it your own.
Thanks!

Your teaching is absolutely perfect! I’ve been playing guitar on and off for 20 years and have been really getting into the ukulele lately, but no matter how many times I’ve tried over the years, music theory has not made enough sense to remain in my memory. If the rest of your lessons are as good as this one, I feel like I will finally understand it! Thank you

Thanks!
Thank you for the lesson, it was really helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
I've been playing ukulele since I was a child and just went through the motions learning chords and songs. This series has helped my understanding of music immensely! Mahalo!
Thanks Makani!
best video I can find on this topic well done
How kind of you to post this +Fraser Barrons Barrons, thanks very much.
Absolutely brilliant - as an older person (ahem😂) i was following youtube lessons by a lovely young lady BUTcould not understand why there were 2 c’s one on the open C string and one on fret 3 of the A string…. And they sounded different. I am a complete musical illiterate as you can see. I find it incredibly difficult to learn something i do not understand, i am not a child who can learn by rote and having learned then can flesh it out with theory later on. So thankyou these videos will help immeasurabley 🥰
Thanks!
