Wow, the amount of trust Ana is showing is just breathtaking. Peter is approaching his models with such respect and creates a safe space so that intimate moments and hence photos like these are possible. Absolutely admirable.
Thank you for doing a practice with Lightroom, a very familiar environment for many of us, but even there, you discover new functions for us. As usual, you´re great, Peter. 😍
Wow Peter, you are definitely the master of getting the best out of a model, even so it might not be a comfortable place or moment but the end result is what matters for both.
hello Bec & Peter - we've met during your last workshop in Zurich. It's so great to see Peter using Lightroom. It will expand your reach compared to the more exclusive Hasselblad / Phocus combo. Keep up your amazing work. Best, Marco
Jesus... thank you so much for sharing Peter :) You are really my role model for photography. thank you for so many great tips and I still can´t believe that you are using Lightroom :D Greetings to down under :)
WTF man, that was incredible. The moment you said you wanted her to cry the WHOLE expression changed from a 6 to a 9. I follow you guys for quite some time now, but this is (and I am struggling to find proper words) OUTLANDISH GOOD !! With a deep bow, thanks for sharing !!
@Bec: many thanks for providing support in this backstage session, by opening and closing it, by filming with the video camera, and for assisting Ana. @Ana: many thanks for posing and acting in this backstage session. You are a brilliant woman. @Peter: could you please tell us about the new stile you are working on? @Peter: it is a good idea the lighting areas (in a dedicated layer) you have predefined, I will tell you why. I am currently taken photographs of outdoors subjects, and what I am capturing cannot be moved, so the variables are: time of the day (that will dictate the light direction and intensity), angle from where I am shooting, and camera exposure settings. On top of this, the subjects have a neutral color beige stones). With a combination of this, I find it difficult to highlight, in the photographs, the areas I am more interested. I don’t usually like post pre/post processing, but I think I will need to work on it, if a want to give more value to my photographs. @Peter: interesting to see how you build, little by little, the pretty sad badass look that Ana is asking for in the photograph, and also the look you wanted to give her, as a surprise. I think you appreciate Ana a lot. I think this session is unique, in this internet channel, in the sense I haven’t seen anything like this before. @Ana: I am surprised how easy you can make you eyes produce tears. I think you should have worked as a stage actress. I wish you can exploit all your potential in performing when you sing.
....I was totally absorbed in this vlog...that, was a tough gig...well done both of you.Ok to tell you the truth i almost teared up myself....but 🤫 dont tell anyone,i have an image to uphold.
Beautiful to see you working here Peter. One question - I'm wondering what you see as the advantage of LR over Capture One for tethering? Also really interesting to see your use of layers.
Hi Peter, Michael from the Amsterdam workshop here. Did you ever try the inverted radial gradient trick in Lightroom (I mainly use the non CC version at the moment), we discussed, to get the Phocus halo effect? Thanks and hopefully see you guys again next year!
The photos are beautiful, but all of your photos beautiful. What got me, how you made her cry. You should get a part time job as physiologist. I am sure you would make a decent extra income....
This is amazing! I love the way you work with the people you photograph and get the best out of them, in a gentle and encouraging way. You are a genius
I've heard lots of problems with Canon and Nikon dropping out with Lightroom, Sony doesn't tether at all with Lightroom so people with those cameras are typically using Capture One or their native camera tethering software. There's special software that comings with the Leica that makes it tether flawlessly with Lightroom, maybe see if Canon are doing something similar :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Thank you. I have the latest version of LRC but I cant seem to find the plugin. I’ll keep looking. Thank you for responding. Love your work!
it is unbelievable now in your country you need the stove indoors while here in Europe or better in Italy it is 35/38 degrees celsius but fortunately, it rained a little and now at 9.00 in the morning it is 24 degrees celsius and it is much better to stay with this temperature.
Watching Peter weave his spell on a talented model is magic defined...
Thank you
Massive applause for Anna and her performance. She nailed it so hard.
The last portion of the shoot, just wow. To see someone bring out such a visceral emotion and then capture that moment was fascinating.
Thank you
Just…Wow! When Peter says “now that we got what you want, let’s try to get what I want”, you just KNOW some “magic” is going to happen!
Wow, the amount of trust Ana is showing is just breathtaking. Peter is approaching his models with such respect and creates a safe space so that intimate moments and hence photos like these are possible. Absolutely admirable.

A beautiful sadness. Well done Peter. And well done Anna. I always learn something every time I watch one of your videos.
Thanks heaps 😊

Glad it was helpful!
this is crazy I started to cry at that part as well, after I saw her sad face. Love her song
Seeing Ana working her way to get the emotion is amazing. I ended up with a tear as well.
Well captured by Peter of course.
Thank you
Watching her face change, grappling with the sadness, nearly brought tears to my eyes. Wonderful.
Thanks michael
Massive applause for you and your model.

This shoot reminds me of Norman Seefs work. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Instant fan! Continued Success!
Thank you
Once again you get so so much out of the model. Amazing.
But you know what you see and want. That’s a gift
Wow, thank you
Wow Peter, you are definitely the master of getting the best out of a model, even so it might not be a comfortable place or moment but the end result is what matters for both.
Thanks Jose
Watching Peter work makes the process seem simple and logical but 5 minutes later I've already forgotten how he did it. Nice result.
Thank you
Masterful manipulation of emotions for a photograph!

I learn so much about lighting from you, but, all I can say about this is Wow!

After watching this, I got hungry for a Leica so I bought one. Now I'm cash-poor but photo-rich.
Sorry but isn't the licea great 😊

Thanks I don't like Capture One , too digital
It's probably what distinguishes the Peters from the Boys: deep knowledge of light AND... the human's psyche.
Thanks so much
Amazing 🤩 would wind with fan would help for the tears?
Never let the model pick her shot!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Can't find the Inspire link???

Did you guys run into any issues at all with the Lightroom tether. I can never get my R5 to stay connected during a shoot.

What use for photo editing
Lightroom & Photoshop

Im having a terrible go at tethering my SL2 to Lightroom. Care to share how you did it? Plugin? I can't get it.
You need the latest plugin from leica and the latest version of lightroom classic

Hello Peter and Bec, I was curious why you are importing into lightroom as DNG.
it's the RAW out of my Leica

theres something about a woman crying i find so haunting and almost other-worldly
Ok so let us know so we can hear her music
Link is in the description
Why simply not use a Leica Monochrome and black and white film. The colour filters on the sensor are damaging black and white pictures beyond repair
It doesn't give me the ability to change the look for my clients after the shoot and I'm not seeing the damage
🤮
