I love viewing these old houses and do often wonder about the cost of keeping them in order . I always make sure that I have a good look around the kitchens and laundry rooms and imagine cooking in them for all the household and washing all the laundry without any washing machines . Sandwich in kent being one of the many Cinque Ports in kent. It is steeped in maritime history. The Lord Wardens of the Cinque ports include Wellington, Churchill, and more recently the Queen Mother. Their official Warden residence being at Walmer Castle in Kent, with their beautiful gardens. Well worth visiting. Thank you for a great video as always.

It’s so funny, just two days ago, I came upon the You Tube channel of Mapperton and watched part of it. You guys are so lucky to be able to get a private tour from the Lady of the manor herself. What a priveledge!
This was fun 🤩 I can see a beautiful historical building, a lovely property, ongoing work and investment. You can only do this when your heart is in it. Julie and her husband surely have. 😊
I have seen many of Julie and Luke's videos. I could just live in the gardens!!! One can tell that Julie is very enthusitic about her life in England and she wants to bring everyone along!

I’ve come here for a second viewing after watching ‘An American Aristocrat’s Guide to Great Estates’. Julie’s enthusiasm and fresh perspective is so infectious. What a beautiful manor home and nothing like a personal tour by the owner.
Loved the tour of that beautiful estate. Julie is so enthusiastic about the history and the plans she has in the upkeep of that beautiful place. It must be so exciting and interesting. As an American who has English heritage on both sides, I’ve always been fascinated with British history. So I appreciated so much the video that you both arranged for today.
