Tube Tires SUCK! I have been dealing with them for almost 50 yrs! Never again will I own a bike with tubes! This tech goes back to1900. A tubeless tire can be plugged, from the out side. If you cut the sidewall of a tubeless tire in a remote location, you can install a tube. Cars have been tubeless since the late 1940's? Very good Vid Mark! And tips, If you are not out on the trail, heat gun helps soften the tire bead ,or leave out in sunlight to get warm . also, If your bike can be equipped with a center stand, get one . 95 % percent of all flats I have had were on the rear. Laying a bike on it's side ,should be avoided. [If possible] I was ready to purchase a Honda Africa Twin [new] but I came with tubes ,and no center stand.[stock] I asked a Honda Dealer Rep. at the Long Beach MC show, "Why does the Africa twin have tubes" The answer, "Dirt Bike Guys like them " BS....They lost a sale! Many times over the yrs, I have had flats in remote parts of the SO Cal desert. If my bike would have had spoked tubeless tires tires,
For many running low tire pressures tubeless are not practical. What works for you isn't always what works for others. After 50 years of riding you should be aware of this by now. Cheers.
Align the balance dot to the valve stem. I've only done this once, but it resulted in perfect balance with no weights
I break the bead with a vice, okay my Vespa runs 12inch rims 😉 but this can also work with bigger size wheels.
Haha! That sounds about right, but doesn't often work with a tubeless tire!
