Happy birthday Matt! Also I have lived in Ireland for 2 years and just got back after spending a month in America and can definitely relate to not knowing where "home" really is. It's interesting how easy it can be to put down roots in another place. 😊

Been in Texas for over 5 years now but Ireland will always be home, my grandma left Ireland 50 years ago for the UK and still says "I'm going home" when she flies to Ireland

Great vids. I’m a dual citizen of Ire and America and have been thinking about moving to Dublin for a few months now... it’s great seeing your progression and hearing that you would love to live there long term. Happy St. Pats and happy birthday Matt Shaw!

You’re very good at expressing the way you feel. I would say you could thank your Washington and California experiences for that. I’m Canadian and my boyfriend is Irish and we live in Toronto, I wish he could express the way he feels/emotions like you do.

I'm a military brat, I don't have deep roots anywhere. Home is where I'm at. 😛 I remember when we moved back to the states we went through this whole class about transitioning back to US culture.

I get the same questions from my family back home in Ireland. Totally get your point about quantifying what "home" means. I definitely don't quite feel like California is my home yet but closer than it was last year.

    Happy birthday Matt!
Can totally relate about missing the people rather than the place itself (Kent).
    (congratulations on 2800 subs)
